I moved my aunt to The Sterling in March 2024, and she is now thriving and happier than ever. After extensive research and visits to numerous places, this was the best decision to meet her physical and emotional needs, ensuring comfort, safety, and overall well-being. She receives excellent care and very respectful support. The most outstanding feature is the vibrant and energetic staff, especially Daniel the Activities Director. The daily activities and social programs are abundant, and Daniel is very inclusive and ensures that all residents have opportunities for engagement, enjoyment, fun, and lots of laughs! In my visits, I have even enjoyed a full day of activities from chair exercise to coloring to bingo to happy hour live music entertainment. Daniel knows the individual needs of each and every resident and caters accordingly. He also goes above and beyond in providing additional support as needed, whether that is helping her schedule rides to appointments or updating me as needed since I do not live in the area. My aunt is extremely happy and has made wonderful friendships through the activities programs and dining table conversations. Additionally, Eddie provides her safe and supportive transportation when needed, and Chef Daniel provides nutritious and delicious meals. Mark and Daniel in sales and move-in were also extremely knowledgeable and helpful through the entire process. The Sterling is a place my aunt feels very grateful to call home.

We love the Sterling, my mother in law has been living there for a year and she is well taken care of. The staff is friendly and caring. My mother-in-law is always clean and well-dressed, even when we go there in the mornings. She is well fed and there is always a staff member watching over the memory care residents. They are not ignored or left to their own devices. We are very happy that she gets to live at The Sterling specially because of Daniel, who is wonderful with all residents and each and every one of their family members. It is a lovely community where residents are treated with care and dignity. I always recommend it!

After visiting several memory care facilities in the area we decided on The Sterling for my mother. Daniel Dhanaram, the Life Enrichment Director is a big part of the reason we made the decision. When you meet Daniel it's obvious that he deeply cares about the people who live there. He does much more than his job requires to make sure people are being cared for in a dignified way. Dealing with memory care patients is not easy but Daniel is always upbeat, in a good mood, and happy to help. He has been a great help countless times dealing with my family, doctors, and travel to and from doctors appointments. My mother's illness has been extremely stressful on our family. Daniel has helped out a lot and goes above and beyond what is required. He cares a lot and it shows. He is the reason we love The Sterling.

My mother moved to the Sterling Aventura in January 2016. It was the best decision I ever made for her. She is healthier physically and mentally than I ever thought possible thanks to the caring staff. Daniel the activities director is beyond fabulous. He creates daily schedules that are packed with activities, events, and celebration. He knows every resident personally and knows how to make each one feel special. Mark in the sales department is so efficient and professional, he is on top of everything, and a pleasure to work with. Stacy, who is in charge of health services and her team of nurses are treasures, and make my mother feel safe and cared for. I am forever grateful to the Sterling for being my mom's extended family and bringing back the light in her eyes.

As we all know, this is not an easy process and having recently moved to Miami, I had to depend on the internet and eventually on site visits. My mother has been there since June , it's one of the hardest decision to have to put a parent in a facility, but..... with Daniel and his staff we know she's safe, and happy. I volunteered at this place for my college hours and to get extra credit and it was truly an amazing experience. I volunteered with Daniel and learned so much, like how to setup different activities for the residents, understand each and every one of their needs, help serve food on the first floor and how to keep the residents occupied with all the creative and amazing activities that Daniel made for them to do. My father Eduard moved in to the Sterling, Memory Care floor, a few months ago and he is very happy. We work directly with Daniel DHANARAM, Director of Memory Care & Life enrichment. He is one of the reasons we choose for Dad to be there. He is extremely professional and knowledgeable about the facility, available when we have questions, replies promptly and takes care of all the liaison with medical and personal matters. Dad is always happy and wears a big smile, Daniel tries to keep the residents busy which stimulates them positively. He's a great Asset to the Residents and to the Sterling. I started volunteering at this facility in the beginning of January to get hours in for medical school and I'm still volunteering. It's such a warm environment to be in. Daniel does an amazing job dealing with the residents and knows exactly how to care for and talk to each one, which I think not everyone has the patience to do. I moved my mom into Assisted Living at The Sterling in early January, 2023. The staff have been most professional and helpful. Mark Monaghan (Director of Sales & Marketing) was very responsive & made setting this up easy - he was very supportive in facilitating a smooth transition. Daniel Dhanaram (Activities Director) has been incredibly helpful integrating mom into the community and encouraging her to be active and make friends. Daniel is very outgoing and enthusiastic, and he really makes mom feel special. On move-in day Mark & Daniel literally rolled out a red carpet at the lobby entrance to welcome mom to her new home! Attentive staff make sure that mom is participating in the different activities. They check on her on an established schedule several times during the day (and document each visit). The food is very good, and dining room staff are welcoming, patient and understanding. From nursing to reception to housekeeping, I've had only positive interactions with the staff. When someone needs to be in assisted living, there's not going to be a 100% perfect solution. I am relieved to know that my mom is in good hands, that she's being looked after 24/7, that she's getting her meds on time & eating right, and she has opportunities to socialize and join in excursions & outings I really can't ask for more than that. I believe I made the right decision in choosing The Sterling.

She has found amazingly loving and caring people (she calls the staff her "angels in disguise") in your facility. My dad has been at The Sterling Aventura for 11 months now. What a blessing it was to find this place! First, the whole process of enrolling and moving in was made flawlessly easy by Mark Monaghan. My mom, Nena, have been in the facility for a little more than a year. This place is neat and professional. Even though this have been hard for my mom -Alzheimer"s- and for us, we are in gratitude for the care my mom receives in this special area, the 3rd floor. The staff are hard workers, Daniel is always aware and willing to run the extra mile with us. Special mention to Digna who belongs to the maintenance team bur speaks Spanish and is very kind and helpful. Ann Marie, Hyacinth... the nurses... they are all aware of the residents. We had an amazing experience with The Sterling. Mark was extremely helpful during the application process. We met Daniel during our walk through and it was obvious he's extremely passionate and cares about the residents. He was always available to help with anything we needed for my dad. My stepmom has been a resident at the Sterling and Daniel has been there since her arrival. He has and continues to go above and beyond not just for her but for all the residents. He has the patience of Job as he miraculously cares for some very difficult personalities at the Sterling but he does it with a kindness and professionalism that is unmatched. My stepmother has dementia and lost her walker. I was visiting from out of town and was having some difficulty locating a new walker. I spoke with Daniel to get some advice and incredibly Daniel had already solved the problem. All this to say, he anticipates and reacts to the needs of the residents. What a wonderful guy!! We truly are blessed to have Daniel taking care of our loved one. My stepmother is so fortunate to have Daniel in her life and we are so grateful for the wonderful care that he provides not only to her but all the residents of the Sterling. He's simply wonderful! When I first spoke to Mark Monaghan and met Daniel Dhanaram, they made me feel that I was part of the family at Sterling from my first day here. Daniel exemplifies all the qualities of a truly caring and exceptional human being. He gives all of us personal care and attention when we most need it. He coordinates all the recreational and social events for us, and sees to it that things run smoothly, and that we are all in good spirits. I have never heard Daniel say, he was too busy or not able to accommodate a request. Nurse Edlyne Jeudy is also another exceptional and truly caring person. She's the most professional and warm medical person I know. She is always aware and understands the genuine needs and welfare of everyone and will go out of her way to ensure that our well-being comes above all else, even if she has to personally take charge of difficult situations. All the nursing staff go above and beyond what they are asked all the time. The exceptional staff people at Sterling are a reflection of the leadership qualities of the Executive Director, James Hooper, who is always within reach and accessible and always kind. This place, and most importantly the people who make it work, has been a gift to my mother and whole family. At previous facilities, my mother used to dread returning to her facility from family outings and felt horrible anxiety that she would be left alone. My mom has been at the Sterling for about 8 months and we are happy with her care. Edlyne, the director of nursing is very helpful and keeps us informed of any needs or changes in Mom's health and care needs. My mom absolutely adores Daniel Dhanaram, who made her feel welcomed and loved from the day she got there. I love that he is readily available, responds to all of my messages immediately, and takes care of anything we need with a smile. He is an absolute gem and a bright light within the community. My only issue with the community is with the business office. When my mom left it took 5 months to settle her account. Phone calls to the director were difficult and rarely responded to. It wasn't until I called ACHA for support that things were settled.

The Sterling Aventura is a very well located place in Aventura. I have been visiting them for about 6 years and I have had a lot of nice moments with my senior friends at Stirling. I always find them happy through a variety of happy hours and I know that Mr Daniel, the excellent man on charge of activities, is always working to achieve their guests enjoyment having them a lot of kindness and quality time. He does do it from heart. I remember Mr. Daniel learned Spanish for talking to The Stirling Latino people. Always a smile at the front desk and great food whit a lot of nice people and nursing ladies.

I have been entertaining at the sterling for several years. I am a musician and I perform at a tremendous amount of assisted and independent living facilities in Dade Broward and palm Beach County. I just want to say that the activities director Daniel Dhanaram is a huge asset to this establishment. I deal with hundreds of activity directors but I've never seen a more caring and concientous individual as Dan. He goes out of the way for all his residents and staff and the word no is not part of his vocabulary. I highly recommend The Sterling and highly commend their staff especially Dan

If you are looking for an ALF where they take care of your loved one like they are family, this is the place. My mother is in memory care. At The Sterling, that means the CNA's know where she is at all times of the day and are attentive to her needs. I have happily observed them sitting at the dining table with residents, helping and coaxing them to eat, even ordering an alternative meal if needed. I can't say enough about the support and yes, love both mom and I receive from Daniel. He is technically the activities director but he takes on a much bigger role of making certain all of the residents are the best they can be. Unsolicited, Daniel has taken my mother on strolls and when I was out of town, something I could not have done before she was at The Sterling, he even encouraged me to send him family photos to share with mom. Mark is technically responsible for marketing, but time and again he has been there to help me through this huge transition with tons of resources, connections, support, and anything I need. I must also mention Edlyne the exceptional Director of Health . She helped me through a difficult transition from the hospital and is a supportive, knowledgeable resource. The Sterling simply has a great team.

II have been going the the Sterling for at least 12 years. Edlynn Jeudy is a wonderful addition to their team. As their RN she follows up on my patients' problems with the doctors. She gives the residents feedback and makes sure the pt gets to the dr. She stays on top of her staff to make sure they follow up on problems and are there for the residents. I'm so glad Mark is back. Flavian is so sweet. I like her approach LH with the residents.

My wife and I and my family have been so happy with the care my mom now has at the Sterling in Aventura. I think the management team is such a "tightly knit" team of professionals who really care about all the seniors in the facility. The nursing staff too is terrific. I need to call out Mark who was key in getting my mom enrolled in The Sterling and just a great person to Daniel who manages the activities and who is terrific with everyone he comes in contact with there. The food is really great and the head chef Ahmet is such a friendly person—The front desk staff is great and so are all the nurses and caretakers. I can say that after my mom's first experience in a facility that I won't mention, this has been a great experience for my mom overall and we, as a family are very happy we decided to move her to the Sterling in Aventura. If you are looking for home for a loved one seriously consider The Sterling. After horrible experiences with another assited living facility I was on a mission to find a good place for Mom here in SoFlo. The Sterling checks all the boxes and more. All the staff and management are dedicated and seriously concerned about the care and well-being of its residents. Not only that staff from management to caretakers are also very kind and cheerful! There are a lot of activities to keep Mom busy and engaged and they actively encourage participation. Huge plus is the food is amazing they have an actual Chef managing the kitchen! Moving Mom in went seamlessly and with ease. Any concerns were addressed and taken care of promptly. I could go on and on but just go and take a tour of The Sterling and you'll see the QUALITY! Plus my Mom is always looking to make new friends so your loved one would be greatly welcomed 🙂

The Sterling team is absolutely superb. Our mother had a debilitating stroke and we needed to transition her from her home where she lived alone to a place with the proper level of care. We researched many places. I came across Mark. From the first phone call I knew I had found the right place. He reassured me everything would be ok. He took care of every detail. Once we arrived we met the leadership team and my mother's transition has been smooth and better than I could have expected. My mother was at the Sterling for about 3 years and I was very pleased with her care while she was there. It was a trying period during Covid and I could not visit but the staff kept me informed and were always available for questions. Daniel Dhanaram was the Memory Care director and I could tell how much he cared about the residents. He was especially helpful planning my mother's 100th birthday party, making it very special for her and our family who travelled to Florida to help her celebrate. EXCELLENT SERVICE & STAFF OVER THE PAST SERVERAL MONTHS SINCE THE NEW MANAGEMENT TEAM HAS TAKEN OVER. My mom has lived here for the past two years, she also lived at two other well known ALFs in Miami and we experienced the fair overall service at those locations as well. We learned and understand that 5 Star Service and Staff is not going to happen 24/7 .....however since the new management team and the additional staff have been added we are extremely happy and its better than we expected. Daniel one of the managers is AMAZINING he's always looking out for my mom and going the extra yard to help her out, we cannot say enough positive adjectives to describe Daniel. If you read some of the other comments that are posted you'll see one listed from a person that we hired to assist my mom. Unfortunately she had a fender bender in the parking lot that was apparently the result of an individual working for a private painting company. She unfortunately blames The Sterling directly for an incident that happened outside of the property with a person from another company. When an accident happens its unfortunate and never pleasant however coming into an ALF to try and demand compensation for something out of their control and in addition come back and second day and camp out in the lobby is not the way to handle the situation her issue should be with the painters company and their insurance.....the negative post against the Sterling should be in no way relevant to the way they run the ALF and should be taken with a grain of salt.
