I can't say enough good things about Stonebrook Village. Not only is the facility beautiful and very clean, but the residents and staff are absolutely wonderful. My Mom was treated like a family member by all staff. In addition, the nursing care was very thorough, proactive and extremely warm. I highly recommend Stonebrook Village.

Seems all these 5 star reviews are left by employees or something because that’s absolutely wrong. There are never enough workers. Always short staffed. Last weekend there was one cna in the whole building. Unacceptable. If I could go elsewhere, I would. Just thankful for the few people on the building who actually care about me!

We moved our mom out of the memory unit 1 1/2 years ago because she was not stimulated and she was unsafe. Falls will happen anywhere your loved one lives. Unfortunately, some falls are unpreventable and at this point in their life you have to expect this. Our mom fell and hit her head on the floor in the Common area. The staff called to say it was an Unwitnessed fall, but they thought she was fine. We came and got her with the intention of bringing her to Urgent care just to make sure. Mom had a large rug burn on her forehead so obviously she had hit her head. We instead took her to the hospital where she stayed for a few days and then rehab for 2 weeks on oxygen. She had pneumonia and a UTI. Her oxygen levels were in the 80s and every time she stood she passed out. No one at Stonebrook had checked her vitals. Our opinion is, any unwitnessed fall is and should be an automatic trip to the hospital , unless the resident is on Hospice. And at that point, Hospice should be called in to assess. This was just one of the many complaints we had about the lack of care, communication and stimulation she had received. It is imperative that those residents who can not advocate for themselves, will have staff that are intelligent, as well as comforting, to care for them. I pray that over the past 1 1/2 years Stonebrook Village has improved their staff and their care.

Approximately a month ago, I surprised my mother with a late visit in Egis, the Memory Care Unit at Stonebrook. It was a last minute appt. I made 20 minutes before arriving on site and before anybody had a chance to tell her or the staff I was coming! Upon entering Egis, I heard laughing and talking coming from her room! I surprised Mom, as well as two staff members, Nanipo and Johnnay having a sweet time together. My heart was SO THANKFUL to see Mom in her home relaxed and being loved on by the staff. My heart was SO THANKFUL to see these 2 staff members truly enjoying my mom! My heart was SO THANKFUL knowing my mother is happy and in good hands at Stonebrook Village.

Residents that moved in in the early days of construction were told that their rents would be “grandfathered” and increased on average 3% yearly. Spin the clock forward to September of 2019 and management now states that banks are calling in their loans and the “grandfather” clause is no longer available. They have increased most grandfathered rents $700.00 a month with a graduated increase up to 1200.00 a month increase. Ownership of this facility has been sketchy from the beginning. I use the term management loosely because what they actually are are just puppets with strings being manipulated by uncaring owners. These are people who moved in, many after the loss of a loved one, thinking this would be their forever home. Shame on them.

I would recommend Stonebrook Village for both their Assisted Living and Memory Care facilities. We moved my mother into a beautiful apartment with a private deck two years ago and transitioned her into the memory care unit last year. No place is perfect especially being a relatively new facility but any concern or request that I brought to their attention has been addressed with concern and respect. The Director of Activities in the Memory care unit is wonderful and treats every resident with such respect. We toured several other Senior Living facilities before Stonebrook and it was hands down the top of our list.

Stonebrook Village has been a great place for my dad. The staff is very friendly and accommodating. They treat the residents with respect and warmth. As a family member I always feel welcome. The place is clean, the apartments are nice, plenty of activities if you want them and the other residents are friendly. I would definitely recommend it to anyone looking for an assisted living facility in the Windsor/Windsor Locks area.

My husband and I go once a week to have breakfast with my mom. The wait staff is nice remembers our names and food is good. We are very happy with Stonebrook.

I can’t say enough about this facility, the staff are wonderful, the building is nearly brand new and it’s in such a great location. The people who work here are dedicated and passionate - they truly care about the residents. I’ve attended many events there and always feel so welcomed, like a part of the family. If you’re looking for senior living, I suggest taking a tour of Stonebrook Village.

I began working at Stonebrook Village in August as the Admissions Director and absolutely love every minute of it. It is a great company to work for and the residents are kindhearted, caring individuals who treat others with such respect. I feel like I inherited 100 grandparents! The building's Executive Director has been a nurse for over 30 years and brings a high level of nursing oversight to the residents and staff. Great staff, great residents, great food and great activities!
