The community is staffed with loving care givers, professional nurses and accomplished administrators.The families become friends with one another and the residents are provided with entertaining stimuli that offers enrichment.The grounds are well maintained, private and full of walking spaces & garden’s. Pet friendly too!

My 98-year-old grandmother has made Sunrise her home for the last 2, going on 3, years, since she fell and broke her hip and did not want to live alone. During that time, she has consistently received excellent care, and she absolutely loves it there. She regularly tells me how happy she is there and that she is so glad that she is there. I find it to be a cheerful and welcoming environment with clean and well kept up common areas. During normal times, there is always a lot of activity, and the residents seem to be enjoying themselves. In the last year, I have been thoroughly impressed by how Sunrise handled the safety of the residents throughout the pandemic, communicated regularly to us to keep us informed, and adjusted on the fly to make accommodations to meet the rapidly evolving needs of its residents in the ever-changing climate and rules and regulations of the pandemic. When an issue comes up that we need help with, there is always someone I can ask about it, and questions and concerns are always thoroughly investigated and addressed. I know that the help and support I have received from Joanne and Laureen has been incredibly helpful in navigating these times with my grandmother. And my grandmother is especially appreciative of the kindness and compassionate care that she receives regularly from everyone. She is always singing the praises of Claude and Denroy for all they do to make her time at Sunrise great, and that makes me feel good about her living there. All in all, I cant imagine her being anywhere else, and I highly recommend Sunrise if you want your loved one to be safe, happy, and well cared for.

i have work at sunrise of stamford for over 10yrs, in our reminiscence community, sunrise always champion the lives of seniors. give excellent care to all resident, family oriented, excellent management team that will always hold everyone accountable.we have a few management and staff turnaround like any other community but changes are great, i would definetely recommend sunrise of stamford

My brother in law really likes it here. He is doing well, and I'am satisfied with all they have done for us. It was a big move for him, but he is in good hands here. The community looks great, they keep everything very nice and clean. The staff have been more than helpful. There are activities offered. He says the meals are decent. I know he is being cared for well here, they are always checking up on him. It has been a lovely experience, and I would recommend this community.

This is a wonderful community and everything is working out very well for my mother. I was surprised with how well she adjusted to the community. The community is very good looking. I had only one issue with the cleaning and they fixed the problem right away. The staff is great, they are completely open to your suggestions. We are very pleased with everyone here. It has a homey atmosphere with kind people. She is happy and safe, and that provides me with a peace of mind. They are caring for her very well and I would recommend this community.

Sunrise staff are open and friendly - very willing to help and / or answer questions. The physical atmosphere is like a small country inn. The individual apartments vary in size although even the largest is not really large - I feel that the thinking behind that is to encourage people to leave their rooms and mingle. There are a variety of activities available and they are posted daily. The dining room offers 3 good meals - with choices - each day. All that being said everyone at Sunrise does realize that not everyone is eager to move in and they do offer respite months so an individual can try it out. There are some there independent enough to have and drive their own car. Others need varying degrees of help (4 levels of care are offered). There is also a 'memory' section. The cost is not inexpensive but is considerably less then trying to maintain a private home yet needing to pay for 24/7 help. If you are on one of their 'care' levels then you are given a pendant which when pressed results in an aide arriving within minutes - then as my sister says 'they disappear' - that does make her happy!
