Most of what I want to say has already been said by other reviewers. To keep it simple, we placed my 90 old aunt in Atria 4 years ago. From the sales meeting forward, everyone was friendly, knowledgeable and professional. We felt the staff from the janitorial staff, thru the nursing staff, kept our aunt safe, healthy, and as happy as a 90+ year old can be. This facility should be on your short search list for assisted living in the Stamford area.

The Atria in Stamford is a fantastic place. The Everybody knows your name for all makes every resident feel welcome and included. Our relative has been cared for first on assisted living and then needed to transition to the memory care unit. The transition was seamless and all staff are attentive annd friendly Feedback is always available, and programs of care can be readjusted . Concerns are always addressed with the utmost care for safety, patients welfare, and dignity. I have enjoyed working with Denese Brooks executor director , Frank Mastrone program director then sales , and Allison Judge finance to address any and all program or financial issues and they have been receptive. I recently needed to move my father from a facility in Shelton to a situation closer to me. I chose Atria after visiting a number of places in the area. The entire administrative staff and all members of the community have made the move seamless and as easy as possible. From the professionalism of their 'wellness' staff to the welcome of their office personnel, the transition has meant that I have greater peace of mind than I have had for years. Communication is easy. Response times are insanely quick. Help is available when needed. Everyone seems to care about the residents in the building. The shared spaces are clean and flooded with light. The apartments are lovely and spacious. The quality of their care is vastly superior to what I had witnessed in my father's prior location ” and while they cannot reverse aging or fix Alzheimer's, they certainly know how to treat human beings with the dignity and respect they deserve. I am pleased to give them 5 stars and would offer more if they were available.

I can’t say enough good things about Atria Stamford and its Staff. My Uncle, who has no family of his own aside from a few nieces and nephews, was living alone in a condo for many years. But as we know, with age comes its challenges. We finally convinced him to visit a few senior communities in Stamford. In today’s world, transitioning a loved one to an assisted living community is a difficult decision to make. I recently experienced everyday life at the Atria in Stamford, CT, and I am convinced it is the best place for your loved ones to spend their golden years. The facility is beautifully furnished, impeccably clean and their exceptional staff are the nicest people you will EVER meet! I wanted to share a particular heartwarming experience. Our loved one passed away in October. The comfort of care and support that he received from the day when he arrived at the Atria to his end-of-life care was outstanding. What impressed me most prompting me to write this review was the action of a gentleman, Ron, who provides transportation services at the Atria. Ron transported a group of elderly residents from the assisted living community to a funeral mass and burial to pay their respects to their friend. Ron made sure that each person in his care was given his personal attention while being escorted on and off the bus and during each step of the ceremony.and he did it with love, not because it was his job, He treated each individual as if he/she was his own family member. The level of care that he provided was unsurpassed. I personally had to hold back tears. We feel blessed to have found such a loving place and are rest assured that our beloved spent his end-of- life with the dignity and respect that he deserved surrounded by wonderful people.

Atria Stamford is an exceptional place with its warm welcoming environment! This is Mom’s third assisted living facility in 2+ years and second to none. She has been a resident here since July 2022 and it is the best by far. Every employee is compassionate, knowledgeable, respectful, helpful, friendly and happy. It’s obvious they love what they do. My mom’s apartment is clean, spacious, well-lit, and very well maintained. Each meal offers many choices on an ever-changing menu with alternative standard choices available at all times. My Mom has made many friends with the other residents and the staff, and there are numerous activities to participate in when she wishes to do so. She is active and enjoys being a part of the community. She maintains her independence with respect to many aspects of her daily life without intrusion which makes her very happy. Most importantly, our family sleeps better knowing Mom is safe and well taken care of. Atria Stamford offers a comfortable home for Mom when living alone was no longer an option. I would give Atria Stamford more than five stars if it was possible!

This is an update to my review of a year ago: 4/1/2023- I am so very glad we chose Atria Stamford for my dad. The people are so wonderful and the facility is outstanding. My first impressions remain: an excellent place for my dad because the professional staff are deeply dedicated to serving seniors and their families. He is happy and I am happy. What more can you possibly ask for? My father has been at this outstanding facility for the last 2 plus months. Foremost, what makes this an outstanding facility are the people. From sales, administration, nursing, aides, facilities/maintenance, front desk to the dining staff, every person we have encountered is a dedicated and friendly professional who all work together as a team. Additionally, there are so many different types of activities being offered every day. You won't find a meal as an activity on their daily schedule! Real activities throughout the day and a Happy Hour! My dad is very happy with the diverse offering in the dining room and the option for the cafe. The building was updated about 2 years ago and is well cared for. His apartment is a good size and the kitchenette is perfect for his needs. He has a huge walk-in closet and a nice size living room. I am so happy we chose Atria Stamford. It's such a relief to my family to know he is in a really great building and is well cared for by people who really do care. Thank you for your dedication to caring for older people with dignity and respect.

In the beginning of 2018 we brought Mom, then age 87, to Stamford Atria from Florida so she would be close to family. Mom started in Assisted Living where we were very happy with the compassion and enthusiasm of the senior management and staff, the number and quality of activities and the choice and quality of the food. Unfortunately, Mom developed dementia and needed to be moved to Memory Care. However, it was easy to do at Stamford Atria since it offers Independent, Assisted and Memory Care living. Senior management worked closely with the family to find the right solution for Mom. Mom moved to Memory Care where she has a nice sized bedroom and bathroom that is fully maintained by Atria Staff, including cleaning and laundry. There is also a community kitchen and dining room for meals and cooking activities, a large craft table for art, bingo and other activities geared to the needs of dementia residents and a living room for TV and other community activities. Memory Care residents are also taken on weekly outings that caters to their pace. Mom is very comfortable at her Atria home and we, the family, are very happy we found Atria Stamford.

my mom moved into the Stamford Atria in June, after a bit of a health scare. She was not thrilled with idea of leaving her home after 50+ years. (she is 98!) BUT, with the kindness (beginning with Sharon) and continuing with Rob, Dwayne, Lucinda, Susanne, Joel, Mario, Joy and Jackie (and all the people i have not met yet) she has been a much more vibrant and happier version of herself. we are so thankful of all they do for her/us. she likes the food, enjoys the classes, checks out both movies daily, loves getting her apartment cleaned, loves her sunset views, loves having free laundry right outside her door, enjoys strolls around the outdoor space, and the idea that Joel is always willing to help take her places, has made this an awesome choice for our family. I came to pick up my mom to take her to a graduation party for her grand-nephew. I was rushing to get down to the lobby with Mom and accidentally threw two graduations cards with money in them in the trash. I didn’t realize this until about an hour later. I called Ebony, the receptionist on duty and she alerted Ronald, the Life Guidance Director. Ronald called me back almost immediately. Ronald had Delroy from housekeeping find the garbage bag and retrieve the cards. I cannot tell you how relieved I was! A HUGE thank you to your amazing staff!!! Thank you Ebony, Ronald and Delroy! this was emailed to myself, regarding Atria Stamford. A resident's daughter. During a few days last week- over the Passover /Easter weekend, my mother, Suzanne , was sent to Stamford Hospital for tests. Being deaf and almost 96, she didn’t quite understand what was happening to her. If it wasn’t for the great responsiveness of your team at Atria she could have had a very scary time. But working alongside me to assure her that she was safe and taken care of- your staff behaved in the most professional and compassionate manner. I would like to shine a light first on WELLNESS- Prudence, Renaude and Mila That team always works so hard to make Sue happy and they listen to her on a daily basis. The FRONT DESK team - Joy, Tanya and Jackie are always happy to assist me. This past weekend especially - they were essential in the successful transition from Atria to the hospital and back again. I couldn’t have done this without them. DWAYNE from day one, has been amazing. His understanding of how things work within the system is amazing. He is also the only one able to fix my mom’s Captel phone even though she works hard to break it! As the DIRECTOR of the Atria ,you have always communicated well with the residents and their families and you have always answered my questions and concerns with very prompt responses. Our father was in Memory Care at Atria on the 4th floor. The experience for him and for our family was above expectations. The staff were attentive to his ever changing needs and always optimistic and cheerful. They were tireless in their efforts to engage him in activities. I visited weekly, often for the whole day, and I can attest to the continuity of the compassionate care he received. In addition, the RNs and Administrative staff were responsive and conscientious in addressing any issue that came up. We moved our mother in Feb 2022 after she transferred from another Atria location. The Atria experience there was wonderful at first, but they could no longer meet her specific needs, and they recommended the Atria Stamford. This particular Atria did not have 24 hour front desk staff which was also important to us, for safety. From our first visits to Stamford Atria, we felt great hope - the physical environment is beautiful and sunlit, complete with a sunset viewing room - and Mom loves to watch the sunsets! Equally important was the warm, inviting staff, who have kept their promise of honoring Mom's dignity, keeping her active with engaging and fun activities, and making her feel at home in a warm, friendly, and safe environment. In addition to the loving, helpful, "think out of the box" staff and culture, there are safety protocols in place, including 24-hour door monitoring by a front desk associate. Also, the food is wonderful, and they have lots of fun parties! The transition has been great so far!

My Dad has been a resident of the Stamford Atria since the end of February, 2021. He suffers from dementia, and lives on the Memory Care/Assisted Living floor. I visit him at least once a week, and the rest of his family (wife, sister, children, grandchildren, nieces and nephews) also visit him often. We cannot stop talking about how amazing the Atria is. Since my dad has been there, he's thriving. Of course the building is beautiful”it looks like a luxury hotel”it's also spotlessly clean. My dad's room is always immaculate. But that's not what makes the Stamford Atria so amazing. What makes it amazing is the staff”Rob the Executive Director, Ronald the Life Guidance director, Calla the Nurse, Jane the Activities Director and every single person on their teams”is incredible. The staff, basically angels wearing red shirts, take such great care of my dad it's hard to describe my gratitude. They're kind and compassionate and patient and funny. My siblings, mom and I receive many pics and videos to a group text, showing my dad playing cards, exercising, painting, singing, smiling. Last week they all went on a bus for a sightseeing tour, complete with sing-alongs! Can't ask for more than that. My dad loves the amazing food (breakfast, lunch, and dinner) and everyone who works there. Choosing the Atria in Stamford was the best decision for my dad, because we know he's safe, happy, and incredibly well cared for. From the first conversations right through complicated moving-in logistics and settling him in to his new home, it's clear that when they said, "Welcome to the family," they meant it.

Two years ago we began a search with my mother for a senior living community in the Stamford area. We toured all the local communities and after much research she selected Atria Stamford. With their assistance, we moved her in shortly thereafter and set up her new home. She was warmly welcomed by the staff and the residents and quickly became very active in the community. We soon recognized she made the right choice and was in a loving, caring and socially dynamic community. However it was the COVID pandemic that made us truly appreciate her decision to move to Atria. From our perspective they did an incredible job of protecting the residents and keeping them engaged during these difficult times. They quickly implemented all the necessary safety protocols to keep the virus out of the building. Their transparency and communication was outstanding and kept us well informed and comforted throughout this ordeal. They found many creative ways to keep the residents active and healthy during the difficult days of isolation. Like many families we were concerned about my mothers safety when the virus first arrived, but over time we realized Atria Stamford was the best place for her to be. Our special thanks go out to Calla (head nurse), Prudence (wellness) and Joy (our go to support person) for all they have done to support my mother and our family during these trying times. We are looking forward to many more years of happiness and great care for my mother at Atria Stamford.

This letter is to extend my gratitude on behalf of my aunt to the Atria of Stamford for its committed dedication to excellence in Senior Living in creating a caring senior living community where residents are able to live comfortably in a positive safe secure and engaging environment where their daily needs are met. I moved my aunt in the week prior to the onset of the pandemic and The Atria of Stamford has brought peace of mind knowing she is receiving the best care meeting her needs and providing activities to encourage social engagement. Furthermore, I receive regular assessments every 90 days with a phone call from a nurse to review it in detail with me as well as regular conversations with LG Staff reflecting that they genuinely care for her. On occasion, my aunt has shared that the staff is very nice to her and she enjoys the meals. The Atria of Stamford has been working to maintain the health and well-being throughout this pandemic through testing, strict protocols and now providing the vaccine. Furthermore, they have been at the forefront of providing transparency to me from the get go of the pandemic which has certainly given me a level of comfort knowing that the management of safety has been a top concern. All of this is indicative of your commitment to excellence! I would also like to commend the work and performance of Ronald Jean Pierre of Life Guidance. As the core member of the Life Guidance Team, on behalf of my aunt, I would like to extend my heartfelt thanks and appreciation for his dedicated enthusiastic commitment to his position of Director of Life Guidance. The frenzied hours of hard work and skill in working with a memory care residents, most especially during this past unprecedented year of so many new protocols of care management and procedures have only added to Ronald stepping up to the plate applying positive strategies to be sure my aunt is comfortable, safe, and well cared for, as well as keeping me apprised of anything I need to know. Ronald goes above and beyond to meet any concerns. He is reliable, honest, positive, dedicated and most understanding. What impresses me most about The Atria of Stamford is the attention to the challenging needs of aging, the immediate attention and planning of phases of safety for residents from the start of the pandemic and the open line of communication between the staff and me (keeping me in the know)!

I am so thrilled to have found Atria Stamford for my mom. We moved her here from Florida after she took one too many falls while living alone. To say she is happy would be an understatement - you can find her every evening at Happy Hour chatting up a storm while snacking and often listening to beautiful music. The residents there are just great - when do you ever see that (all happy faces) in a managed home??? My mom is in Independent Living and has a beautiful apartment that even allowed her to bring her cat up from South Florida. I get to see her all the time now, which is wonderful - and having piece of mind that she is OK or I am a phone call away, really added to all of our quality of life. The dining there is top notch and she enjoys just about every meal...and guess what...if she doesn't - she surely lets them know and the staff is so attentive and responsive. They frequently hold Town Hall meetings with the residents and ACTUALLY LISTEN!!! PS - Joy at the front desk is a dream...and if you go visit, try to get one of their delicious fresh baked pies as a parting gift.

Peggy Litwak comes in throughout the night to help my mother get to the bathroom. Peggy is always so encouraging, polite and positive. If my mother says she doesn't want to bother Peggy, Peggy simply says, "This is my job, I am glad to be here for you." She makes chatty conversation, which makes my mother feel comfortable to receive help, which is not easy for her because she is very independent and wants to be able to be as dignified as possible. And Peggy makes light conversation that allows my mother to laugh -- expressions like "Not even the chickens are up yet." Peggy even puts a bed jacket around my mother's shoulders so she can be more comfortable when she has to get up. These personal touches beyond "the job" make Peggy Litwak stand out among many other aids. Mattie, Winsome and others are also doing an excellent job. Each one truly cares about my mother and we appreciate what everyone at Atria is doing for her to provide care and a good life for my mother. I would also like to commend Joy and Smeralda at the front desk. They are always cheerful, friendly, asking about the wellbeing of our family members, and sharing about theirs. Finally, Georgia Waite is a wonderful "sargent" and runs the dining room with order and a flair.

I moved to the Atria 3 1/2 years ago.. I was living with my children and they were very happy to have me. I mostly watched TV, read the newspaper and worked on my computer. When I came to visit some of my friends I fell in love with the Atria. The people were friendly and the staff was extra friendly. I knew this was where I need to live. When I walk in the lobby there is always a friendly smile to greet us by name. Joy and Smeralda have become part of my extended family. They know my immediate family members by name. and I love when they say, "Good morning Papa!" The chef is very helpful with any special dietetic restrictions. Kim and The entertainment staff always encourages us to participate in activities. Dwayne and so many others (too many to list) are always willing to do anything to make your stay at the Atria special. I am 96 now, and living at the Atria I know I will make it to 100 (at least).

I feel that the Atria has helped put years on my father's life. He is active, he sits on a variety of committees, he goes to dance class, bowling, bingo and a variety of other activities. But to top it all off, he is 96 years young!!!!! As you walk into the Atria you can always expect a friendly, warm and caring smile from Joy or Smeralda. They make you feel like you are coming to their home for a visit. They know the names of all the residents as well as family members. When I walk to the front desk ,whichever one is on duty might say, "Oh, I just saw Papa go into the Happy Hour." So I didn't even have to look for him. When he had an emergency and pushed his help button, someone from the wellness center was in his room within a matter of minutes. We are so happy Dad is living at the Atria Stamford and we thank all those who make the community so special.
