We here at Greystone believe these reviews were posted by a disgruntled former employee. We believe the names of these reviewers are fictitious, as we have never interacted with anyone named Joy Fazzino or Jessica Dominick who had a relative who was a resident here at Greystone. We hope that no one who could benefit from being a resident at Greystone will be dissuaded from considering us due to these reviews and we will address the issues that "Joy Fazzino" and "Jessica Dominick" raised. We will also be looking into these fictitious reviewers further. First, please understand that it is uncommon for any of our employees to be unhappy or disgruntled, as shown by how long many of our employees have worked with us: Head of Kitchen - nearly 40 years Head of Housekeeping - 40 years Admissions and Resource Director - 22 years Administrator - 16 years, 35 years total Head of Maintenance - 15 yearsHead of Nursing - 12 yearsOne kitchen staff member retired after 40 years of working for Greystone and chose to become a resident.Second, the quality of Greystone has been recognized by national groups. We were rated as the Best Residential Care Home in the nation by the National Committee of Residential Care Homes in Washington, D.C. , a certification that can only be maintained by meeting strict standards for care of our residents. Third, we would like to respond to specific issues "Joy Fazzino" raised:We offer varied activities to our residents. For instance, on the day "Joy Fazzino's " review was posted we offered the following activities: a birthday party with cake and ice cream, punch, decorations and live entertainment. Very festive! With regard to the food served to our residents we offered the following on the day the review was posted: for our main luncheon meal we had butter herbed pork chops, sweet corn and mashed potatoes. We did have a brief transition of a couple of weeks when our beloved chef of nearly 40 years died unexpectedly, where some of the meal arrangements were more informal that is our practice. We have a new chef providing first-rate food service. We do have a varied resident population, of different ages and impairments. We believe the diversity makes for a better community, as the younger residents help keep the older residents young. Please know we only take residents consistent with our licensing, and only if we are able to serve them without compromising care of any resident. As the owners and managers of Greystone, we are constantly at the facility, as it is our only facility, and our only business. It is not a corporate facility, run by an out-of-state corporation. It is our life and our commitment, a commitment we have maintained through nearly 65 years of family ownership. We would simply ask; If we are supposedly never here, how can we treat anyone poorly? It doesn't make sense. In conclusion, we hope that anyone who is considering Greystone for themselves or a loved one will make an appointment for a private tour, and see everything we have to offer as a safe, loving, high-quality facility for those you love. Thank you.

My Grandmother has resided at Greystone Retirement home for the last 9 years. Greystone is a facility that goes above and beyond to care for its residents. The environment is one that is warm and inviting, clean and bright. The staff is always smiling and helpful, the grounds are impeccably maintained and the residents always appear contented and cheerful. Because of these reasons, I happily and wholeheartedly give Greystone a five-star rating! My Grandmother feels as if everyone at Greystone is part of her family. The staff treat her with compassion and kindness. She enjoys the company of her fellow residents. She always looks forward to the multitude of recreational activities that are provided for the residents, and she loves to get her hair done. My Grandmother was a great cook in her day and gushes about the meals at Greystone, and looks forward to the Summer Picnic and the Holiday Party at Christmastime. She appreciates the services that are provided, that she can no longer do for herself - especially cleaning and laundry. She feels safe and well looked after, things that are very important to her at this point in her life. My family did a lot of research when looking for a place for my Grandmother to live when that became necessary. There were a lot of choices presented to us. We did not take this responsibility lightly. For nine years we have been very happy with the choice of Greystone Retirement Home and have not regretted that choice at all.

My brother will be celebrating his five year anniversary this June as a resident at Greystone. We were fortunate to have another residents family recommend the facility to us. The environment is all that one would want for their family member. Warm , friendly, attentive, supportive and immaculate. My brother has diabetes which requires him to receive insulin injections several times a day. His blood sugar is monitored very closely and when there is a concern, I am notified of the appropriate medical action that has been taken. Whenever he needs to have outside medical appointments, arrangements are made for him to make those appointments. His living quarters are neat, clean and provide him with comfort. Each time I visit my brother I am greeted with a smile from the staff members and residents. The administrative management is very helpful in answering and providing resolutions to any questions I may have concerning care for my brother. I am so thankful for all that Greystone offers each resident including Tom. I would highly recommend Greystone to anyone seeking assisted living for a friend or family member.

I have known Luel Swanson, the owner of Greystone, professionally for over 20 years. In that time, I have experienced her amazing love for and dedication to Greystone. She has tended to every aspect of Greystone, the residents, staff, grounds, environment, with deep sense of ethical and moral dignity. In my experience, she views Greystone as a part of the community and legacy to it and her Family...

My mother has been in the care of Greystone for almost 2 years. The entire facility is warm and welcoming. The staff is always friendly and helpful. The Administrator is genuinely kind, easy to talk to, and is always available when I have a question. The other residents at Greystone are equally as kind and caring and my mother has made wonderful friends. It is always very stressful leaving your loved ones in the care of others. I have never had to worry about my mom while being in the care to this professionally run facility. I would highly recommend this facility to anyone looking for a quiet, clean and caring environment for their loved one.

My sister has been a resident at Greystone Residential Care for 18+ years. She has always been treated by the staff with compassion and caring. The facility is immaculate (never a bad odor). Their meals are excellent. My sister enjoys Pasta Day (Wednesdays) and yesterday evening she had a delicious tuna sandwich (maybe 2) for supper. I interact with staff members frequently and they are always receptive to my sisters needs. My sister, living at Greystone for 18+ years, is indicative of what a wonderful place it is.

When my mom and I realized my grandfather was having a hard time and could no longer live on his own we decided to research our options. We looked at many places and thought Greystone Retirement Home was a great fit for him since he is a social and independent man.He reluctantly moved out of his apartment and we were hopeful we were doing the right thing. Luckily in a short time he was happy to be surrounded by other people and making lots of new friends. We were relieved because we always felt guilty leaving him alone at his apartment...now he has lots of activities to do and people to socialize with. He can be a handful sometimes but the staff joke around with him and make him laugh. It is obvious they have experience working with people in a kind and loving way. We are happy we picked this place and feel he is in good hands. I recommend checking it out for yourself.

It is sad that an imposter would post false reviews on this site. Doing so recklessly attempts to harm the reputation of a caring facility, and preys on the fears of caring families searching for a safe place for their loved ones. Let me tell you about my experience. Over ten years ago I learned that my aunt, who was living alone at the time, was not taking good care of herself. She was developing dementia, was in financial distress and had dangerously neglected herself nutritionally. Luckily, she trusted me to become her court appointed conservator and find a nurturing place for her to live. I found Greystone. I am not exaggerating when I say that transferring her to Greystone saved her life. My aunt loves it there. And this is no small achievement. Although she is a strong willed person and resistant to change, virtually every time I visit her she thanks me for finding this wonderful place. She is not an easy person to please, but has raved about the food for the last ten years. And the importance of this cannot be overstated. If she did not love the food there, she would not eat it. And as my brilliant personal physician has explained to me, good nutrition is critical to the care and treatment of a dementia patient. There is no way she would have lived another year, much less to her current age of 90, if Greystone hadnt taken such good care of her. I love my aunt and take my conservator responsibilities very seriously. The caring professionals at Greystone have been wonderful partners for me.

Since writing my original review, I have thought long and hard about all the positives of Greystone. It is simply a Top Notch retirement home. So, I have changed my rating to 5 stars! My brother has resided at Graystone Retirement Home for over 15 years. Our family has always appreciated the excellent care and compassion from the staff who treat my brother like family. My brother is very happy in this home and often raves about the wonderful people who work and live there. He enjoys the delicious noon hot meals and the extraordinary holiday meals. Whenever I visit my brother at Graystone, I am impressed with the warmth and the help of the staff, the cleanliness of the facility, and the beautiful grounds nearby.

Each time we visit my uncle who has been residing at the Greystone Retirement Home, everyone there has been so friendly and helpful. It seems every staff treats him with respect and dignity he deserves. They also all seem to know his routine pretty well. Even the landscaper outside was so friendly to my uncle and my family. I am very glad he is staying at such a warm and safe place.

My mother spent the last year of her life living in Greystone Retirement Home. We were very grateful for the staff there that were so helpful and considerate during her stay. The whole Greystone environment felt like family in a quiet park-like setting. We would recommend this place to anyone. Ross Wathne
