Dear Christian, Ray, Michelle, Emily, Giovanni, Louisa, Ray, Aaysia, Samantha, Cindy, Sandy and Daisa, Thanks a bazillion to each of you and your entire team at M@O for so smoothly transitioning Mom age 101 & 10 months from her home of 76 years followed by 12 days in the hospital to your lovely facility. You are a blessing to Mom and our entire family. Your kindness, diligence, attentiveness to every detail and professionalism is without parallel. Over a 15 year period I took Mom for lunch at 12+ similar communities from Branford to Stamford CT and some on multiple occasions. None compare to the complete package of assisted living, 24/7 RN staffing coupled with The CT Hospice, Branford oversight on an outpatient basis which you deliver in tandem. God bless you all. Now Mom gets the very best care in a loving environment in a room with a southern exposure that Christian hand picked for her. Mom loves it and now we can visit Mom without the wear and tear on her and us as she aged in place at home. Bravissimo M@O!

We have found the staff at Maplewood Orange to be a great partner in caring for our mom. Their help with the original move-in was invaluable and reassuring for the family that this was the right place for our mother. When it became necessary to move her to another floor, the maintenance staff was terrific, working with mom to quickly get her new room set up so she could get herself settled with familiar belongings around her. If you ask her what she likes about Maplewood, she will always say the daily exercise classes, the flower arranging, and the programs offered, especially the musical ones. She also says frequently that the food is very good “ that she has never had a bad meal! The family is also grateful for the insight from all the staff on the best way to care for mom. Maplewood of Orange, was extremely clean airy and pleasant we were greeted upon arrival by the front associate, Cindy who made us feel welcome excited to be there. We had an appointment with Caroline the sales person, was so helpful and answered all of our questions, including the ones I had to after the tour on her cell, and she answered every time. The apartments reflected the same atmosphere and cleanliness of the entire establishment. I would recommend Maplewood of Orange to anyone who is looking for a relaxed, spotless and friendly environment!

Maplewood at Orange is an outstanding assisted living community. The accommodations, food, activities and resident care are of the finest quality. Maplewood was my mother's home for over four years including during the covid pandemic. As her care levels changed the management team worked with our family to provide optimal care and support while always being cognizant of our concerns and specific needs. Recently, I have had experience with two other assisted living communities in Connecticut for family members not under my direct care. Simply put, the difference between these organizations and Maplewood was night and day. Whereas, all facilities were modern, clean, and nicely appointed, the management focus was completely different. At Maplewood you are part of a family and there is a genuine compassion and concern for your loved one. Decisions are made in conjunction with the family and in all cases the welfare of the resident is of paramount concern. The other facilities' main focus were profitability of the organizations and resident needs were secondary. Constant up-charges and inflexible policies occurred frequently, requiring facility moves and ultimately, nursing home placement. At Maplewood the team and staff know every resident and family member by name; relationships are maintained long after your loved one's residency ends. In summary, if you are exploring assisted living communities, Maplewood has earned my highest endorsement. There are other facilities that may be newer, but you will not find the level of 24-hour care, compassion and sense of family that Maplewood at Orange provides. The difference is the people. At Maplewood your loved one is with family.

My siblings and I kept my mom home with 24 hour care for 5 years. When it came time to find a place for her we decided on Maplewoods at Orange. I cannot say enough about the facility and the entire staff. My mom is in the memory care unit and her room looks like a hotel room! The entire place looks like a hotel! When I visit her, it doesn’t look or smell like a nursing home. They have many activities for the residents but what impressed us the most is the staff. They honestly care about the residents and the families. After about one week of my mom being there- the staff knew me and my sister and there are a lot of residents there!! The staff is also aware of the slightest change in my mom and call me immediately. I have been a nurse for 38 years and I know a quality place and Maplewoods of Orange is the best. I HIGHLY recommend!

Our family is forever grateful to the Maplewood of Orange staff for all they did for our parents as residents. Department Heads especially (too many reasons to mention), Nursing/CNAs (caring and compassionate), Hospitality (kind and attentive), Facilities (attentive and kindhearted), Administrative (pleasant and welcoming). Each of you treated our parents and our extended like your own family for the last 3+ years. Thank you everyone for caring and making our parents live out their remaining years in a environment filled with compassion and great care.

One year ago my family and I were faced with a very difficult decision of finding a place for our 92 year old mom who was living alone and was in need of care and support. We looked at many Assisted Living Communities in the area to find the best place for her that would provide the care, interaction, and the support she needed. When we toured Maplewood at Orange we immediately felt a sense of family and community. Everyone from all aspects of the community - sales, recreation, nursing, aides, food and beverage, etc. provide a team approach in working with families and the residents to understand the individual needs and to ensure safety and success in living in a community. Everyone is ready to listen and to assist families in making first, the transition for their loved one to every step of getting them involved and keeping them engaged. We can now enjoy our time with mom having peace of mind knowing she is well cared for at Maplewood at Orange, CT

We have a large family of siblings and everyone of us feel the same way about the people at Maplewood at Orange. Maplewood staff are incredible. The staff and the facility are top class. I didn't know anything about assisted living communities, and having a short time to make a decision, thought that they would mostly all be the same. This is NOT true. I have learned that some places struggle with quality of staff, process, oversight, and even the physical accommodations. Maplewood at Orange is amazing! My family is consistently happy with the services. And, most importantly, my mother wakes up each day loving where she lives. That's priceless.

After two years, i am convinced this is the best Assisted Living/memory care unit in the US. Every nurse, all the Certified Nursing Assistants and House cleaning Staff are on a first name basis with the patients.Patients are cared for with love and attention to every detail. When I leave there I am comfortable that my love one is receiving the best.

My parents have been residents of Maplewood at Orange since last October. They're in the highest level of memory care because of their memory loss. The care they get is like loving family members are taking care of them. I could not have found a better place for them. They've made such nice friends there. They have their own living room and bedroom for their privacy. I bring one or more grandkids at least once a week and the grandkids love to go. It is like visiting them at home, only better. The staff and other residents love to see them, and the kids love all the attention. All the staff are wonderful. We are always greeted with a smile and kind word. It is so obvious the jobs they are doing is their calling. I can sleep at night knowing they are safe.

Review of Maplewoods, Orange, CT. The decision to move to a senior residency can be difficult. There are many things to consider when making that decision, but the most important consideration is staffing. Kind, knowledgeable and responsive staff are key to a successful experience. Maplewoods staff: housekeepers, maintenance, nurses, receptionists, aides, cooks, dining staff, care coordinators, and directors are skilled in making Maplewood residents feel comfortable and at home. There are many reasons for choosing Maplewoods of Orange for my mother, but the one that stands above the rest is the way she is treated. When I hear staff addressing my mom just as her grandchildren do, Hi Mama, I know Maplewoods is the place for her.

i was at cracker barrel in milford today around 230 we were sitting next to some seniors eating dinner with 2 women who were workers from maplewood. i have to say the 2 women were wonderful that was with them. it is so nice to see the elderly being treated so nicely. i would love one of their supervisors to know how great they were.
