After making the difficult decision to move my mother in law to an assisted living community, we toured several of them and asked a million questions. We knew immediately that Middlewoods of Newington was the place for her. The staff was warm and welcoming, the facility was clean and bright, and all the residents were happy. My mother in law has been there since November 2019 and we are thrilled with the level of love and care she receives from everyone there. From the director to the nurses and the entire staff, they all genuinely love and care for every single resident. The peace of mind our family has knowing my mother in law is in the best hands is priceless.

When we were looking for an assisted living facility for my elderly mother-in-law, we interviewed two respected communities closest to where we live. Middlewoods was one of those communities. Both facilities and staff were lovely, but Middlewoods felt more homey and down-to-earth, and less like a hotel to me than others I have seen. More than three years later, our family and my mother-in-law feel more strongly than ever that Middlewoods was the right choice! My mother-in-law and all the residents are treated with dignity, compassion, affection, and the best of care! The programming for residents and sometimes families is fun and lively (and is in the process of coming back after Covid!), and the residents choose to participate as much or as little as their heart desires. The staff is friendly and warm to families as well as the people living in the community, and are always attentive to the needs of residents and family members. I LOVE the warm, welcoming, and cheerful atmosphere at Middlewoods! I want to commend the staff for the outstanding job they have done caring for our loved ones during this pandemic. They have gone the extra mile in ensuring and enforcing safe practices, and have earned the distinction of having kept every member of the community and every staff person safe and well throughout this time. They have a perfect record, and I know they are working hard to keep it that way, while moving to relax restrictions when the time is right. We are SO thankful for how you all have been instrumental in keeping our loved ones well and contributing to the quality of their lives through this time. Our Mother lived happily at Middlewoods of Newington for over a year. While she there, Mom was treated with respect and kindness from the Director and from all the staff. Middlewoods was always welcoming, clean and compliant with all the COVID 19 regulations. Because Mom was in Hospice care at the end of her life, we were allowed to visit with her. This was so important to her family because Mom knew we were there for her and she would not die alone. We could tell her how much we loved her and were able to give Mom permission to transition. There are no words that can fully express our sincere gratitude to the staff at Middlewoods for the care and kindness shown to our Mom and our family.

The caring community found at Middlewoods of Newington is the result of the leadership team and staff who treat the residents as their own family. I am continually impressed by the open communication, the activities provided during challenging times and the quality of people working there. After a year and a half of my mother living at Middlewoods, I still count my blessings that she found such a positive environment.

Middlewoods offers a variety of activities to keep one busy as well as occcasional scenic drives. Of course lets not forget three delicious meals a day! If you are looking for an assisted living facility for your loved one cant stay by them selves at home but needs that little extra help then I strongly recommend Middlewoods of Newington as that place. They are reasonably priced (could be cheaper than staying home) and the staff is very professional and courteous. They know what needs to be done for elderly. My father has been there since March of 2020 and I cannot say enough good things about this facility. It is worth the initial consultation with Stacy for she is fabulous.

I cannot say enough wonderful things about Middlewoods of Newington. My 88 year old grandmother moved in at the end of June, in the middle of the pandemic, and it has been the best thing for her! They immediately made her feel welcome and at home. She left her home of over 55 years and was so nervous about starting anew, especially during COVID-19, but the transition was almost seamless. She had to quarantine in her apartment for 14 days, but it flew by quickly as the staff visited her multiple times during the day and kept her entertained with conversation, games and activities. The staff is also very communicative and accessible, and give updates on her frequently. She also loves the food, which is delivered to her room for safety reasons right now, and keeps saying shes getting fat from it! Her apartment is cleaned and her laundry is done weekly. The staff is also constantly cleaning and sanitizing any common areas to keep their residents safe. You can tell that their residents come first here. My grandmother just loves it here and said recently she wished she moved in sooner!.

We love the care my Dad receives at Middlewoods of Newington! The staff goes above and beyond to make the residents feel comfortable and happy. Laura the activities director is a very special person. She keeps the residents busy and is very creative especially during this time with Covid. Personally she has helped me stay in touch weekly with my Dad via Zoom.My siblings and I are very happy we chose Middlewoods...we can rest easy knowing he is happy and safe.

Just got my Dad settled in at Middlewoods. He is adjusting very well. The staff is very nice and helpful. We all felt very welcomed the minute we stepped in for our tour. Were very happy we dont have to worry about him being alone anymore.
