We are so lucky to have found this place for my dad. It is by far, the gold standard of independent living. The entire place is spotless and beautifully decorated. It is clear they want residents out enjoying the many activities and amenities offered. There are plenty of choices at each meal and the food is delicious. The residents are friendly and welcomed him like a family member. But the staff are the true gems. I have never experienced more patient, compassionate, and competent people. There is literally nothing they will not help with and seem to always be available which seems impossible with all they are doing. They clearly have a passion for what they do. I could go on and on but thank you so much for welcoming him home. I sleep well at night now knowing he is in the safest of hands with your wonderful staff.

White oaks senior living has been wonderful to us throughout the entire process. Staff made us feel like family from day one. The facility was clean, inviting and affordable. My mother in law loves her apartment and as family we feel so welcomed.

Moved my Mom in about a month ago and am quite disappointed with the room and maintenance. The apartment was in poor shape when we moved in - they clearly missed that our lease was starting, and were scrambling to clean it and make repairs as we were moving in. The fridge did not work well (they replaced it that afternoon, though the hinge was on the wrong side, but luckily my sister's close friend is an appliance repairman), and also, the cable did not work at all. Fortunately they got the cable working within 2 days (in the front room). But there were several items that could not be repaired immediately like a missing blind right near the bed in Mom's bedroom, no cable in Mom's bedroom, missing doors on the bedroom closet, loose apartment handle lockset, missing bulbs, leaking shower, and wrong-sized front closet doors. And tonight I visited and we realized that the through-wall fan (intended to pull cool air from the air-conditioned family room into the non-air-conditioned bedroom) does not work. Of the "original" list of seven items nothing was done the first week, the bulbs were replaced week-2, cable was installed in her bedroom and the leak was fixed in week-3, and the blinds were attempted to be installed in week-4 - but the ones they got were about a foot too short - so that is still outstanding. So, a month in and a majority of the items are still unresolved. The people working there all seem friendly, but the inedptitude in getting maintenance items resolved in a timely manner is concerning. And the repeated assurances that things will be addressed right away have caused me to lose faith in the staff. I have no confidence that the through-wall fan will be repaired in a timelly manner and will probable end up doing that myself. At this point I could not recommend this facility to others. For now, my Mom's poor short-term memory is helping to keep her content, but this is disrespectful.

I have enjoyed the seven months I have been living here at White Oaks. The apartment is very comfortable. The meals are delicious. Activities are provided for our enjoyment. Not being able to drive I apprectate having transportation available for medical appointments and shopping.

This place is amazing!!! We are so grateful we found this place for our family members. The staff there goes above and beyond for both those transitioning to next chapter as well as their loved ones. You immediately feel the community and staff feels like family. We are so glad we found this place for my in-laws. My in-laws will also give 5 stars for the delicious meals there. The restaurant style dining makes you feel like you are living your best life!!!

We were looking for a facility for my 59 year old sister, who has early onset Alzheimer’s disease. White Oakes was the first facility that we looked at. The staff was awesome, informative, warm, and very thorough. We were able to get a tour of the facility when we stopped in, and my sister and I were beyond impressed! The facility is gorgeous, and there didn’t seem to be an end to the amenities that they offered. I would highly recommend this facility. In my sister’s circumstances, we realized that she would require a more assisted living based facility instead of independent living. It is only because of this that we opted to continue our search. Again, I would highly recommend White Oaks for those looking for a warm and wonderful independent living facility.

We are very impressed with White Oaks in Manchester Ct.! Christiana Pitts (Community Sales Manager) is such a pleasure! Christiana is outgoing, caring, compassionate, and dedicated to the residents. She gave us a thorough tour of White Oaks. She was careful to elaborate on all the options available and presented all the aspects in a knowledgeable and caring way. She is the total package of the type of person you would hope to meet when searching for a home for your loved one! White Oaks is immaculate, attractive, with a welcoming and joyful atmosphere! Everyone we met was outgoing, very friendly and happy, both residents and staff. The rooms are beautiful with so many options to choose from. We couldn't wait to discuss which room we would like for our family member! We highly recommend having a tour here and meeting Christiana, you will be so glad you did!

As a geriatric care manager, I advise families and seniors to talk to the current residents in the community before they move in. It's not just about the bells and whistles when it comes to finding a good place for your loved one; it's also about the heart and soul of the place. The first day I was there I had lunch with my client and a few residents. The residents spoke highly of the attentive staff and how well they were treated by everyone. When my client moved the executive director fix the shower door himself rather than waiting for maintenance to fix it later that day. They really go above and beyond what you would expect from other facilities! The only negative feedback I have is the community is undergoing renovations, but it is definitely something to overlook because remember- it's not about the bells and whistles this place clearly has the heart and soul for caring for residents.

My father in law loved it here. The facility was always clean and the staff is very kind. We were always pleased to hear about the activities my father in law did here. He liked his neighbors and enjoyed walking around outside. Maybe the decor is a bit dated and I can understand some of the comments about the food not being fantastic, but if you’re looking for quality staff and cleanliness it’s a great place to send your loved one.
