Excellent choice for my mom as she struggles with delining memory and physical agility. Staff is super attentive and friendly. Everyone seems to know my mom's nam, even the front desk receptionist! Meals are tasty and varied with choices available if you don't like the meal. Recreation is creative in their approach to physical and cognitive stimulation with activities daily. I really can't think of another facility with all that Fairview has to offer - including their excellent view of the busy Thames River with the Coast Guard Academy sailing program, races and regattas, commercial traffic and always something of interest going on. I highly recommend Fairview.

I do private care here. The campus seems nice. The apartments I have seen are nicely done and privately owned, but Fairview offers a number of amenities, including maintenance, housekeeping, etc. There may be a cost, but it is convenient. If you need new appliances, ex, refrigerator, dishwasher, stove, microwave, it is replaced by Fairview.

Our mom was rehabbing here after she broke her hip. The staff was amazing! So very kind and attentive to all of us! Upon arrival, Our mom was very disoriented due to surgery, Parkinson’s and dementia. The staff was so kind to let myself or one of my 2 sisters stay with mom each night and all day long. Her room was clean and contained everything we needed for her 2 weeks stay. The food was awesome also ! I would highly recommend this facility to anyone for long or short term care. Well deserving of 5 stars!!!

We have had nothing but great care for our mother/Nana since she movies into Fairview they have always been very accommodating when we need to have her dressed up for a party we are taking her too. When we ask them to do her nails and dress ‘— her for a special occasion they really do there best for us and for (Elaine/Mom/Nana) she seems very happy at Fairview. Again anytime we need a special day or evening they always have her ready and dressed beautifully. Thank you again for all you do for our mother /Nana we are so thankful. A very safe and protective environment for your loved one. Staff is always helpful and friendly. Facility is clean and has more activities, pets (fish, birds), and puzzles/games than expected. The views of Coast Guard academy and the Thames River are an unexpectedly nice benefit. The reading room walls are painted with designs and the lights have a colorful cloud treatment.

Wonderful place! Did my CNA Clinical there and loved it. It's clean, residents are well cared for, the food is good, and the staff is so caring and attentive. I would work there once I'm licensed. It's just too far for me to drive regularly.

My mother was in another nursing home for rehab after hip surgery. They mismanaged her diabetes medication and almost killed her. I was fortunate enough to be able to transfer her to Fairview. I have been brought to tears by the care and attentiveness of the staff. They treat their patients with dignity. The facility is kept very clean. Someone is always mopping or cleaning. My mom will be at Fairview for long term care and I am so relieved that I found such a wonderful facility for her to spend this last chapter of her life.

I had the pleasure of being a patient at Fairview after having multiple hip replacement surgeries. My 2nd hip replacement at Hartford Hospital I ended up abscessed and septic so they had to remove my hip and put in whats called a spacer that was filled with antibiotics. Unfortunately, I had been to a home in New London first that was top rated on the radio but not so as a patient!!! At Fairview I have never in my life been treated so well by everyone i encountered! The nurses, the CNA's ( certified nurses aids) the housekeepers, the Dietary dept ( that even checks with you if you didnt eat much! Would you would like something else ? When in reality, i had eaten only1.5 hours earlier when my family had brought in food to have with me.) They go out of there way to make sure you are happy with each meal! Right down to maintenance! One day my pull chain to light broke maintenance in room and i dropped something. I did not even have to ask. As fast as i had dropped it he had swooped in picked it up handing it back to me!! With a smile.on his face when his job was done asking me if there was anything else he could do to help me?? Saying their PT and OT dept is great is an understatement!! They made sure you got medicated before their time with you so you could do your very best! They are top notch. Encouraging you and telling you what you can safely do and what whst not to do as well!!! They also have a restaurant inside Fairview where you can go with.guests to have coffee and a homemade dessert. Or a meal all homemade! Nice to have guests and.not be in your room. Like getting out but without all the inconvenience of leaving! The foid was Outstanding!!! The decor was that.of a wonderful restaurant with the option of eating out on tbe deck overlooking the water!! I cannot say enough about this wonder place that took such great care.of me!!! I am glad i was there when i was young enough to appreciate all of it (60) i would highly reccomend them to anyone looking for a nursing home!! Know you.have made the right choice your family member is in great hands!! I had told my faniky.if they ever put me in a nursing home i would come back and haunt them every day if their luves!! I ammended.it after my stsy to. I would gladly gi to Fairview.if they deemed it neccessary!!! No where else !!! To all that took such great care of me I Thsnk You All. You made an impossible situation much better for me!!!!
