Mom is safe! What a relief that she has a safe, bright, comfortable place to call home. The personalized care at Avita is comforting to both mom and family. They have activities and schedules that help Mom navigate her life with dementia. I especially love the caring staff and that the doctors come to Riverbend.

This facility is beautiful but the level of care is absolutely unacceptable and very very costly! The staff is continually changing so there is no continuity of care. Promises are made but not kept. At 91 my mother is too frail to endure another major move or I would find her another facility. It has now been three weeks since my previous review. Since then a change has been implemented to my mother's medication schedule that has been a great improvement. Nurse Milissa suggested the change which was approved by Dr. Judy Chiu. I appreciate the response I received from the corporate leaders regarding my review. Here's hoping the other changes promised will be implemented as efficiently as the medication issue.

The staff were not only friendly, but genuinely helpful and welcoming throughout my time there. As a traveling hospice nurse, I have the opportunity to visit many assisted living facilities and this one truly stands out above the rest. The environment is exceptional: modern, spacious, and impeccably clean. From the moment you walk in, you notice how fresh and well-maintained the space is, which speaks volumes about the level of care and attention to detail. What makes this facility even more impressive is the staff. Every team member I’ve encountered has been friendly, compassionate, and incredibly accommodating, not just to residents, but to visiting healthcare providers as well. It’s rare to find a facility that excels in both environment and culture, but this one does just that. Without hesitation, I can say this is a place I would feel confident recommending to families and even consider for myself in the future.

My parents moved into Riverbend in January, we chose it after touring several facilities in the area and just kept coming back to this one as the top choice. What a beautiful building, common areas and apartments are 5-star, and most importantly the staff is excellent. Communication with both administrators and nursing staff has been excellent, and I know they are in good hands 24/7. It's an active place where everyone can find their place and activities. We have another family member at a sister Northbridge facility in MA, and couldn't be more pleased with the way this company runs the ship!

What a pleasure it was for my friend and me to spend time at Riverbend at Farmington! It’s truly a lovely facility with beautiful, inviting grounds. The staff could not be friendlier or more helpful, and we met so many people who seemed genuinely happy to be there. We enjoyed a delicious lunch in the dining room, and saw several apartments, each of which was appealing and inviting. Each apartment has its own washer and dryer - what a luxury! Riverbend at Farmington offers a good variety of activities and programs, which I would love to try out! Thanks for a fabulous visit! !

A friend and I recently visited Riverbend. What a lovely facility! It is spacious, clean, and colorfully decorated. We had a delicious lunch in the dining room. The outside patio is large and a beautiful space for outdoor dining. All of the public spaces are very attractive. The apartments are quite nice with large windows and full kitchens. Each apartment has its own washing machine and dryer. There are also many activities for the residents. All of the staff that we met were warm and friendly. We were favorably impressed with Riverbend.

We had the incredible opportunity to tour this beautiful community last night. When we entered, the residents were enjoying a lovely happy hour accompanied by musicians and staff members dancing! It was an incredible sight. Moreover, I can’t say enough about the staff that we had the pleasure of meeting. The team of directors felt like a family that I’ve known forever. Their care for each other and the jobs that they do was quite evident in our short time together. If Riverbend wasn’t on your list before, I hope that you add it to your list going forward so that you, too, can experience the magic that we did.

We have found some very kind and caring people here from the dining servers, the person who cleans the apartment, the therapists, the receptionists as well as the administrators. They have been welcoming and helped us transition from home to community living. This is a very active community with something to appeal to most people. My mom has lived in the Memory Care unit for 2+ years. I would prefer to have her in my own home but since that is not possible this facility is a good alternative. A nurse is on site 24/7. Aids keep her clean and out of her apartment from breakfast until after dinner. The activities program is very good. Although my mom does not participate in everything, she is always with other people and residents. Staff are primarily professional and kind. My mom has a lovely apartment and the facility is clean. An ownership change occurred in 2025. Management and most aids appear focused on continuous improvement. Since 2023 there has been significant staff turnover and staff shortages at times. My understanding is that is not uncommon. The onsite hair dresser and physical/occupational/speech therapy services are convenient and well managed.

I just want to give a shout out to memory care unit at Riverbend at Farmington. They are all so caring and loving to all the residents. They put on a family dinner every month. Last night we had h'orvders, ribroast, baked stuffed shrimp. They had entertainment and even Santa. It was lovely dinner everyone enjoyed a great evening.

I along with my husband and our piano player perform once a month at Riverbend. The joy this brings to us and the residents is amazing. Alison Murphy is right there with the residents making sure everyone is settled and ready to enjoy our performance. Riverbend is such a warm, lovely place. I have spoken to many of the residents and they tell me how happy they are living at Riverbend. Thank you to the culinary staff and allowing our large family to gather in the pub on the third floor for various occasions honoring our father. Dad appreciates all of us coming to him which lessens his travel experience since his mobility is decreasing. When contacted at least two weeks prior to the event and working with the culinary staff, they will set up all the tables, linens, and place settings for our future family gathering. A menu is also offered however, we prefer bringing in our homemade Italian food for family celebrations. After the Gathering the culinary staff returns and does the majority of the cleanup. This definitely allows us time to enjoy our visit with our father.

I've read an extremely long negative review recently . Mine is quite the opposite. My husband moved into Anthology now Riverbend when they were transitioning ownership. Despite the obvious turmoil of staff turnover, operational changes, etc the change went smoothly and to Northridge's credit for the better. Riverbend is a well run residence. Memory Care is clean, well run and the residents are , most importantly, well cared for. Well done, Northridge. Keep up the good work!

I knew I’d found the right temporary memory care home for my uncle when we were greeted with a smile and a warm tone that said, Hello, you must be here to see. It was suppose to be a 2 month stay as I recovered from surgery but as fate would have it, it’s been a year. He’s actually feeling like he’s home and I’m starting to feel somewhat the same. He’s comfortable, well taken care of and looks forward to going back (home as he calls it) when I take him out for the day. Thank you Riverbend at Farmington Staff for going above and beyond in affording me the time I needed to recover and for providing a safe and caring community for my uncle.

Moving to Riverbend at Farmington has been an unexpected treat. The facility is lovely, bright, and cheery. I’m especially happy with my one bedroom apartment wich is bright and sunny. The staff are all very friendly and helpful. I fortunely don’t need the help of many aides, but those that come are wonderful. Life in a wheelchair was not on my wishlist, but neither was the amputation of my right leg. Everyone at Riverbend has made my life easier and pleasant! Thank you all!

R@F has been an experience unlike other ALF’s. Warm, welcoming- sure. But straight forward with all the administrative necessities and beautiful facilities made it stand out from first basic introduction. Food is very good and staff actually seem happy to care. My dad requires help to bathe and dress and remarks that the aids are powerfull, efficient and still gentle and attentive to detail. Stephanie Desquaine is the right person to start with as she is the outward face of R@F. We actually laughed through the whole process including when she coordinated the RN’s to assess my parents while still at the facility we left. You can always trust a girl from upstate NY Litmus test -as my dad, my wife, my son, d-in-law and I are all physicians and completely satisfied. We maintain high expectations. You reach a time when your best efforts in caring for your parents isn’t sufficient no matter how thin you stretch your love for them. At that point visit R@F.

My aunt has lived in memory care at Riverbend, formerly Anthology, for 2 years. The staff has always been so caring and patient, from Janna at the concierge desk to the CNAs who give hands-on care. Since It became Riverbend, the level of engagement has improved tremendously, exercises, games, and trips in the van. It is comforting to know that my aunt is well cared for. My aunt had her 90th birthday yesterday and Riverbend did a beautiful job decorating the room and setting up the table. I'm so pleased with every thing the new management is doing. This is where my Aunty Ruthie lives. It is very obvious that they take very good care of her. They go above and beyond to make sure she is happy and loved. The facility is beautiful and the staff are even more beautiful. We recently celebrated my aunt's 90th birthday and they set up a private room with happy birthday signs, balloons, table decorations, and everything we would need to have coffe and cake. I was very impressed! Rebecca Guerrara took special care to decorate, check on us, and wish Aunty Ruthie a happy birthday. You can tell she loves her job and is happy to work there. Shout out to my awesome nieghbor, Aimee Weems, who also works there! She even took the time to notice my name on the guest list and inquired about my relative, telling me she sat down with her to ask her about her happy birthday balloon tied to her chair earlier in the day. I would highly recommend any loved one to live there!

So much to say about Riverbend and the life changing life affirming gifts this place and the people there bring. In short from the very beginning I felt a level of love and care that surpassed every other option when it came to where my father should go after he suffered a stroke, blood infection and rhabdomyolysis. As a family we feared making the wrong choice. When I first spoke to Stephanie Deschaine and every conversation after she put all my doubts and fears at ease. This woman went above and beyond to get us all to a place of peace, hope and healing. Through every obstacle she never faltered. Her support and reassurance set the stage for my father’s complete turnaround to health, wellness and return to oneness with life. Thanks is not enough. We looked a few other places before moving my Dad from another facility (where he was going downhill fast). We settled on Anthology of Farmington and it has been the BEST move we could have made. Dad is eating again, he is well cared for and is thriving in his new memory care apartment. We cannot say enough about the staff, all of the staff. Dad is well cared for, well fed and is happy. Best decision we made.
