Each resident has his' or her's own one bedroom apartment that has a personal (handicap) bathroom, access to a hot plate, microwave & dorm-style refrigerator & mini kitchenette for making coffee or grabbing a cold drink from the fridge. They have a beautician on call here & meals are served early starting at 7:30AM, 11:30AM & 4:30PM for breakfast, lunch & dinner, consecutively. Staff seems friendly enough & the standard log in / log out & standard Covid-19 questionnaire & temperature testing are required upon entering when visiting friends or family. Cheers!

My 89 year old mother has lived at Middlewoods of Farmington for 6 months and our family is very thankful. The staff is caring and friendly. Fellow residents are wonderful. Moving there has been the BEST thing for my mother. She was living alone and benefits greatly from a safe, caring environment with socialization. Covid has been challenging everywhere, but Middlewoods has handled it exceptionally well. They have been creative with providing activities for residents. By the way, my mother really likes the food too. I spent a long time researching places for my mom, and Middlewoods is a home run! My mom and our family could not be more pleased with the choice.

When my mother in law moved to Middlewoods of Farmington in December of 2016, our family knew we had made the right choice for her. At the time , she needed some assistance, but was still able to live relatively independently. Our family was impressed with the upbeat atmosphere, wide variety of activities, and caring staff that make Middlewoods a very special place to live. My mother in law developed a strong bond with the activities director and forged wonderful friendships with many of the residents. Oh, and the delicious meals and wonderful wait staff under Loretta's direction are superb! This past winter my mother in law's health declined significantly. She took a couple of falls and spent several weeks in Rehab. Bianca, the executive director, could not have been more accommodating to our family as we considered what our next steps would be since she now needs 24 hour care. We wanted her to continue living at Middlewoods, but in order to accommodate a live in CNA, she would need a larger apartment. Bianca and Ginny quickly stepped up and arranged for the perfect two room, two bath suite for her! My husband and I live out of town so while we were visiting her daily in Rehab and waiting for her new apartment to be ready, Bianca even let my husband and me stay in her old room AND enjoy meals in the dining room! We were so grateful for this generous act of kindness. We would highly recommend Middlewoods to any families considering an assisted living residence for their elderly family members. In addition to providing a wonderful living environment, the entire staff of Middlewoods including the caring nurses, Mary Ellen, Linda, and Pat work with families to cater to the ongoing health and living needs of each resident to provide the best possible living situation as their health needs change. From top to bottom, the caring and competent staff at Middlewoods takes exceptional care of residents, offering varied activities, nursing care, entertainment, good food, and cultural excursions. Middlewoods provides an outstanding family-community home atmosphere for the seniors who live there, and fine support for children who now can have peace of mind knowing folks are safe and thriving, to the fullest extent possible. The love extended to residents and families is a vibe you feel as you walk in the door - in contrast to many for-profit assisted living businesses. This was definitely the right choice for my folks!

My folks have moved to Middlewoods and we are so happy with all the help we have received getting them settled. They have a lovely room and are thrilled with the caring staff. My Mom stays busy with all the activities and both parents attend the wonderful entertainment that is offered frequently. This has been a wonderful solution for my sister and I since I live in Colorado. We couldn't be happier with Middlewoods and highly recommend both the facility and the staff.

I have such peace of mind knowing that I dont have to worry about my dad during a large snowstorm that brought about a foot of snow to CT. If was still living at home, Id be worrying if hed lost power, heat and running water. All of those worries are gone because I know he is safe and sound at Middlewoods of Farmington.

Mom goes there while me and my wife go on vacation. She always has a good time. Nice rooms, great food and very friendly staff. The residents seem very happy. Mom says there is pleanty of activities and is busy. Awesome people.??

Our Dad has been there for about a year and a half. He is well cared for which was a huge relief to us. He still has many of his local friends come to visit, but it is clear that he has his Middlewoods friends as well and overall is truly happy and content.

Im a baby boomer, and the youngest resident here, but hope to live long enough to be the oldest resident. My husband and I love it here! This community is small enough for the staff, and most of the residents, to know everyone. The staff is so caring; everyone goes out of his-her way to ensure residents needs are met and continually ask for suggestions about how to make things better. All levels of staff are well-trained and cheerful. Middlewoods is truly a full service residency: the food is prepared by an excellent chef and is comparable to good home cooking or some of my favorite restaurants; housekeeping (including laundry and changing of linens) is provided weekly; transportation to shops and banks is offered; exercise and activities are so diverse and plentiful they make my head spin; TV is available for an unbelievably low rate, but I have yet to hook mine up since I use their free wi-fi with my iPad-computer for entertainment (besides, large screen televisions are located in several of the many common rooms and are almost always available). I could go on and on — the in-house medical services, the library, the beautiful grounds — I have yet to find anything lacking. Moreover, maintenance has customized my apartment so my husband and I can live a full and comfortable life. They even are modifying the grounds so my husband can plant a serious vegetable garden. Best of all, I feel confident that I can live safely and fully, even if I am on my own...I have secondary progressive MS and have serious physical challenges; my husband is signicantly older but in great shape and hopes to visit some friends in Europe before its too late. Long story short, I couldnt feel happier about selecting Middlewoods as the place to spend the rest of my life.

My mother recently decided to do a 60 day trial. It took a full year for her to make that decision and 2 days in to her trial she doesnt want to go back home!! The entire staff, and I truly mean everyone, have gone above and beyond to make the transition pleasant and easy. Middlewoods is a safe, clean and caring facility and I would highly recommend it to anyone.

I am so pleased with the care and attention my mother receives at Cambridge. Residents are given opportunities to engage in interaction with others. I love the way family and friends are always welcomed. My questions/concerns are always promptly addressed. There is such a positive attitude on every level at Cambridge. The residence is always clean ! Cambridge offers a support group once a month that I find quite helpful.
