I have been working professionally with The Village at Mariners Point for about 6 years now. I have found this community to be wonderful to their residents. The staff is very professional and I would recommend anyone looking to reside in a senior community to look no further!!

I am a member of St. Pio Catholic Church In East Haven that provides religious support to the Village. Our parishioners bring Communion, share in reciting the rosary, lead the Stations of the Cross during Lent. The parish provided Mass once a month before Covid and we hope to continue again in the near future. I work closely with the staff to help provide the services that the residents desire. Always a pleasure to go to the Village. They are very community minded and are always reaching out to help in anyway possible.

I walked away after the tour feeling wonderful! Keith Fenton has a great attitude- caring, compassionate, friendly, helpful, open, and professional. The community is gorgeous, big(in a good way) and very clean. The setting has all the comforts of home and it is a place that family members will love to visit and always feel welcome! It was obvious that Keith is extremely genuine with his connections between the staff and residents. He takes extra time to fully understand the prospects challenges and priorities and provides them with the best solution. I feel so assured that my clients loved ones will be joining a beautiful, safe and happy community. Rosie Jacobs, Community Outreach Liaison

The Village at Mariners Point is heads above any community of its kind. Over the course of a year, my husband and I investigated over two dozen such places to find a home for Mom. We found the perfect spot overlooking the beautiful waters of Long Island Sound, with residents rooms that are spacious, up to date, and grounds that are well kept and inviting. But most importantly, Mariners has become a home for Mom. We cannot say enough about the staff and the care they provide. Whether its housekeeping, personal aides, nursing, food services and others, all have a caring smile and treat mom as if she were family. Mom looks forward to mealtime each day and enjoys choosing her meals from the healthy and varied menu. She tells us its like eating out everyday. Kim Kelly-Rubin the Director of Mariners continues to be a sheer joy to work with. From our first interview to date all our questions, concerns, and needs for Mom have been answered and addressed with a true concern for whats best for Mom. She makes the place tick and is always available to guide us through the sometimes confusing and complicated world of assisted living facilities. The Pandemics special challenges for all of us and for Mariners were met head on. They put special protocols in place and have updated operational changes as the viruss severity changed. We sleep at night knowing Mom is in the best of hands. Most importantly Mariners and the entire staff make Mom feel like shes home. Diane and George

I am the Community Services Librarian at the East Haven Public Library. I visit the Village at Mariners Point monthly to provide outreach to the residents, bringing them books and other library materials to enjoy. The Village is a beautiful facility and I thoroughly enjoy visiting there and collaborating with Village staff on behalf of the residents. The staff are all committed to serving their residents and are very helpful in partnering with me in my outreach efforts! I would highly recommend the Village at Mariners Point to any relative or friend looking for a senior living community for themselves or a loved one!

Both of my parents moved to VMP in 2011 mainly because my dad needed assistance. He died in 2015 and my mom continues to live there because of the options it allows her. There are many things she can do on her own, but VMP offers various levels of assistance as needed, such as medication dispensing, and laundry services. If and when more services are needed, they can be provided. The staff at VMP is outstanding; from management, to food and dining service, nursing services, housekeeping, and facilities and maintenance. When there are issues, they are responded to and resolved rapidly. The staff treat my mom with care and respect. Before the pandemic my mom was able to go on outings and partake in numerous activities within and outside the community. During the pandemic VMP has done a remarkable job to keep the residents safe, active, and cared for. The only reason for not giving a 5 star rating is there is always room for improvement! Keep up the good work.

Grandmother was living there and passed away during Covid quarantine. Once the family was allowed to remove her belongings, obviously all the silver and gold jewelry was missing-stolen but other than that she really enjoyed living there.

The Village is a beautiful spot because it overlooks Long Island Sound. It does not have lush gardens as advertised .The chefs hands are tied they cook what and how they are told. The result is adequate, the desserts are awful but who needs them anyway? For the most part the employees are great. The activities people make the place, however they have a revolving door and many of the core people become replaced with newer versions. The result is that there is no continuity. There used to be a family feeling with dedicated workers but when you keep replacing directors, nurses etc that disappears. Assisted living is the way to go if you can afford it, because you are not alone and have help The Village could be a great place if they valued their employees and residents more then their own pockets. I think they could find away to do both.
