We had a wonderful Thanksgiving dinner with our Mom at River Ridge - Thank you to the staff and chef that made a special meal for us! The staff has been wonderful and very attentive to all my Mom's needs.

This was a difficult move for us as our mom needed more help then we could provide over the last couple of years and we had to convince her she now needed to leave her home of 51 years. We were happy to learn that some other friends had parents at River Ridge and had a positive experience. It was nearby which meant we could visit often. We were so grateful for Michael meeting with us right away to show us around and the constant communication there after in responding to our needs and getting her settled. While it was no small feat, we were able to move her from a rehab facility in less than a week to a cozy studio. She faces the courtyard and has everything she needs and is enjoying her meals, birdwatching and the new neighbors she is meeting. We really want to thank Michael, Roxy, Anna, Bill and the entire stafff who we are still getting to know who have been so attentive to our mother and to us as we adjust to this major life transition. Thank you!!!!

Very welcoming community. First impression of staff was very positive and it continues to be the same as weeks go by. My Mom feels more confident knowing she can get help when she needs it. Mom enjoys the dining room and the family has enjoyed it at times when visiting. Thanks to Omar and the wait staff. Bill and Carol have been helpful and courteous at every visit. Michael, can’t say enough about you. Your expertise was so important during the decision making process.

I came to Michael seeking information, to assist me in making some decisions about my mother’s care. Michael has been in the business for quite some time, and I find him to be extremely knowledgeable and very caring. He is willing to give 200% to help the customer in any way he can. I am deeply in debt to Michael for all his help.

My mother-in-law moved into this facility today. She is thrilled with her new apartment; it is so bright and welcoming! Our family joined her for dinner tonight, and the food was absolutely delicious! Omar, the Dining Room Manager, was super pleasant and very accommodating! Bill, their maintenance man, was also cheerful and very efficient, by even hanging my mother-in-law’s curtains and pictures today! The facility is very clean and a pleasure to walk through; it is in tip top shape. It looks like a large home with beautiful porches and court yards. Cannot wait to see it decorated at Christmas time!

Our familys experience at River Ridge of Avon has spanned 3 years. During that time, our loved one has lived in both the traditional and Memory Care sections. Our overall experience has been very positive with our needs addressed in a timely and professional fashion. The staff in the Harbor Mind and Memory unit should receive special commendation. Our loved one is treated with respect and kindness every day. The staff truly cares about each resident. During the pandemic, the staff went through extraordinary measures to ensure the safety and wellbeing of the residents. We are very pleased.

My Mother has lived at the assisted living facility in a single bedroom apartment for several years . Her experience at River Ridge has far exceeded our initial expectations . There are of course all the wonderful activities arranged for the residents and as you might expect from any high quality facility the physical plant and layout is beautiful . By far however the greatest and most wonderful asset River Ridge has is their employees and caregivers . Somehow theyve figured out how to hire people who are genuinely kind, caring and compassionate. Ive seen examples first hand dozens of times when ‘no one was watching. My mother has always been somewhat of an introvert and has not adapted well to change , that is until now . To my amazement she has developed friendships with staff and residents and appears genuinely happy; something I could only have dreamed of . The level of communication is also excellent . There has not been a day Ive had to guess about whats been happening particularly during this time of the pandemic . The distribution of the vaccine was handled wonderfully . Its with great pleasure that I can strongly recommend River Ridge without hesitation.

River Ridge at Avon has exceeded our expectations. Everyone at River Ridge is kind, caring and thoughtful. The nursing staff responds quickly to phone calls and e-mails and has excellent follow-through. A Care Plan is developed specific to each residents needs. They have varied activities to keep the residents busy and engaged. Even during Covid19, the Activities Director and her staff developed out-of-the-box activities! Dad likes the food and says that there is always a good selection. All management is available to talk with at any time and their communication with family members through Covid19 has been invaluable. The Executive Director, holds monthly zoom meetings for the families of residents to keep us up to date on all that is happening in the community and answer any questions. Most important is the care, kindness and respect that every person on staff shows to the residents; they are truly amazing.

My mother is a current resident of River Ridge. Anyone who knows me will tell you that I am extremely hard to please but I can genuinely say that I am extremely pleased with our experiences thus far at River Ridge. The staff is amazing, thoughtful and caring. My mother is gluten-free and on her move in day she was greeted with a Welcome Basket full of gluten-free treats that I know the Executive Director went out and bought herself. My mother moved in to River Ridge during Covid so it is hard to say what the activities will be like once Covid is a thing of the past, but Ive got to tell you that the daily ice cream delivery to my moms apartment is a great treat. I strongly recommend River Ridge....trust me if its good enough for my mom (and my high standards) it will be great for your loved one!!!

Our mother has been living at River Ridge for a year and a half and we have been very pleased with her experience. She had only been there 9 months before covid restrictions were put into place. River Ridge has done an amazing job putting safety measures in place for the residents and staff. As frustrating it is not to be able to see mom when they are in lockdown, the knowledge that they are keeping her safe outweighs the frustration. The staff is very attentive which is so appreciated. Our mothers medications have always been brought to her in a timely manner. The staff works diligently to try to make things interesting for the residents in this strange time. Mom says the food is good and varied. The building is very well kept. The rooms are very nice and the weekly cleaning is a very nice plus!(as well as laundry!!) Its easier to reflect on pre-covid as there were many more activities available for the residents, trips to restaurants or museums, the Bistro in the lobby, daily ice cream socials and happy hour, movies etc. Hopefully this will be back sooner rather than later but in the meantime they are doing a great job and working their hardest to make River Ridge a great place to live! They are succeeding!

I want to take this time to thank the Management Team and Staff at River Ridge at Avon. This pandemic has been hard on all of us, especially the elderly that do not understand what is going on. RR has done an amazing job caring for my mother who has been there for the past 5 years. They are providing my mother the loving care that I cannot due to Covid19 restriction. They provided facetime when I could not go into the building so I feel comfortable seeing my mother. RR is providing as many interactive activities as possible with the residents but staying within the strict guidelines they are required to keep our loved ones safe, healthy and happy. River Ridge has provided great communication throughout the past 9 months, with calls, emails and Benchmark virtual town hall calls, in regards to the health and safety of both residents and staff. I have the utmost confidence that my mother is in the best place and is getting the best possible care. Thank you River Ridge at Avon for being so caring and loving to my mother. . Sandi

I had a difficult time placing my mom in memory care, but I could not have made a better choice. EVERY staff member from sign in to sign out is professional, helpful and genuinely cares about the residents. They keep residents busy all day and there is tremendous interaction. The meals are very good. I have not one doubt that was where she should be.

I have a family member at RRA and couldnt be happier with our selection. Very caring, family oriented atmosphere. The building and grounds are impeccably maintained. The selection and quality of meals is phenomenal. The associates are very attentive and willing to do the little things to make the residents extra comfortable. The attention to health and safety during the pandemic has been extraordinary. The family culture has truly come out during these past very trying months. Senior management and staff have been phenomenal in their creativity and willingness to deal with ‘unusual events and circumstances. I would highly recommend the RRA community to anyone looking for a 5-star facility for a loved one
