Worst facility ever. My husband was there almost a month, and he fell 4 times. Each time it was always an excuse. They have horrible nursing staff that take forever to come in the room when my husband needed them. The night nursing was mean to him. I feel they had a part in my husband's death because we trusted them to take care of him. This plays really bad, smells like they don't dust I beg you if you're looking for a facility DO NOT put your loved one here!!!!!!

I'm a resident here at the The Villas at Sunny Acres and welcome John Stewart. We have already felt a change in the atmosphere. He has "moved in with us", literally made his office more accessible near the front hall. We see him everywhere, and he sees and hears us. Thank you, John! My husband and I have lived here almost two years. We are so thankful for the caring community and our Sunday morning congregation at The Villas at Sunny Acres. We've made a lot of friends. The renovation of the HVAC system that allows us to adjust the climate in our own apartment is welcome! The meals in the dining room recently have improved. My husband and I have lived at the Villas at Sunny Acres for almost 2 years now. One of the most important things about living here is the caring community. We love our Sunday morning Congregation and the many friends we have made. The recent renovations to the HVAC system are a vast improvement so we can adjust the climate in our own apartment. My dad was here a few months ago; he was in the rehabilitation ward. The staff was very attentive. My dad kept mentioning the food; he was delighted with the breakfast and his lunch. Thank you to everyone at Villas for everything.

I can’t say enough about the care my dad received at Villas at Sunny Acres during his long-term rehab stay. Yadira D. was absolutely exceptional. Her compassion, consistency, and genuine care made a huge impact on my dad’s experience. She made him feel comfortable, respected, and truly supported every single day. You could see how much she cared, and that meant everything to our family. Jeremy was just as impactful. He was always there when we needed him”helpful, responsive, and fully invested in making sure my dad had what he needed. His support helped create a smooth and positive experience throughout the stay. Mike and the rest of the physical therapy team were outstanding. They brought energy, expertise, and the right level of encouragement to every session. They pushed my dad in all the right ways while building his confidence, and the progress he made is a direct result of their work. Because of the experience he had with this team, my dad is already asking us to line up Villas at Sunny Acres again for his next rehab stay after his upcoming procedure. That says everything. We’re incredibly grateful for the entire team and all they did to get him back on his feet. - Only one downside was the make sure if you check in on a Saturday, staff is not stout, and just need to make sure you ask more questions to get them checked. I have had a great experience here with both therapy and the nursing staff. Therapy really help my papa (grandfather) get back on his feet again after numerous falls and hospitalizations. Mind you this man is as stubborn as a bull, staff was patient and kind. They communicated with me and my mother about his condition. They made discharge seamless and made sure he was safe to discharge and did proper educations with us to make sure he didnt fall or got to the hospital again. Its been a few months and hes thriving

Great and clean facility with very helpful staff. The physical therapy is top notch. All the staff are very nice. A special shout out to CNAs Stephanie and Alba who always kept the patients first and were always going out of their way to help residents with a big smile! Nurses Marcela and Eric were super nice and helpful in so many ways! Highly recommend!

The advanced entry program works well. Today I had to reverify my phone number which was different than normal. I like that there is on screen button option for answering yes/no to several questions. That allows me to speed up the entry. Thanks for raising the stand so I don't have to bend over to look into the camera.

Villas at Sunny Acres facility located in Thorton, Colorado is a city Healthcare Facility located with a unique backyard outdoor mountain range view. Many different care needs are available (Skilled Rehab, Longterm Care, Memory Care Center, Assisted Living, Independent Living etc) Real caring nursing clinical staff ( that go above and beyond) and continue to meet all kinds of a well rounded individual care need. I really enjoy the friendly atmosphere with the staff and residents.

The nursing staff is pretty great including CNA's and activities. It was a good place overall but they are very short staffed and at times need more supervision for the residents especially in the memory care unit. The admin is why I gave 2 stars, we had a meeting about my dad's care and was told we needed to find a place that could accommodate him better. Weeks went by with no response on the issue. My dad and another resident was put at risk when a situation arose which could have been avoided. If someone is out they need to find another person to step in and continue to help run things. The ball was majorly dropped. I hope they can get staffed up and help the people who are truly trying to care for the residents!!!

I've been working with VASA in a professional capacity for several years and they are truly amazing partners! We've had many of our patients receive care here and had good experiences. I've also noticed much less nursing/CNA turnover than other SNF's. There is a lot of resident collaboration and a strong sense of community across their campus.

My aunt was recently admitted to Sunny Acres after being discharged from the hospital. The staff has been very welcoming and extremely helpful. I was so pleased with how easy they made the transition for her and for us. Every time I visit she is always complimenting the staff who take care of her and she hasn’t had a bad thing to say at all. I would recommend this place should you ever need this type of service in the future.

Unfortunately, my mom came to a point in her life where she needed Assisted Living accommodations. When I was informed that there was an opening at Sunny Acres, the Assistant Administrator (Stepheni) immediately reached out to me to see if I wanted a tour. I met with Stepheni and my first impressions were very positive. She/staff were very friendly in greeting me and showing me rooms and the entire facility. And very detailed in telling me about everything and let it be known to ask any questions if I had any. I felt so comfortable with Sunny Acres and felt that this would be a good next move for my mom, we moved her in during the month of July. The staff there has been wonderful and has helped my mom adapt very well. Her needs are easily being met and no doubt has helped her adapt faster than I thought she would. Thank you to Stepheni, Katie, and all of the staff who has helped make this very challenging time in my mom's life be less stressful than I thought it would be.

My sister has been at The Villas at Sunny Acres for rehab for the last 3 weeks. Staff has been wonderful in meeting her needs. I would like to recognize three people that have made a real difference in her care. Leslie Barrows, Assistant Director of Nursing has addressed our questions and been able to provide feedback and assistance as needed. Shannon Frank has been able to help with dietary challenges. And her CNA Jeremy has been very good at hearing her voice and listening and coming up with ways to make her more comfortable.

The Memory Care activities team is the best team I've ever seen! They have appropriate activities and special events and are often doing something fun! They spend a lot of time outside when the weather is good. I love this for my uncle! Great job!

I was brought to the Villas at Sunny Acres after falling with a broken leg. I also tested positive for the flu and so had to be isolated for the first week there. The nursing staff was very professional and efficient in caring for me, especially Stephanie, Mars, Darcia, April Eddie, Victor, James and Carolina. The dining room staff was equally helpful especially Annette. I have nothing but respect for all of these professional men and women. I also want to give 5 stars to the OT and PT staff whose names I can't remember all of, but Mason of the OT staff was very helpful all through my stay at the Villas as well as Morgan.

My Mother went there after being in ICU for many days. First the people who came in on her first full day were very caring and my heart went out to them. Second, her room was incredibly hot for December. Third, she had to share a room with another lady in a room that really should have been for one person. The fact that my Mom was rehabilitating to get up and down and work on independence just shocked me that they had to share a bathroom. Her head was at the curtain separating the room and her feet were at the wall. She had a fan pointed at her that was on a wheelchair. Both of their TVs were in competition. How any administrator think this would ever be rehabilitating is incredible. There really should be change because no one is getting out of here alive. Three stars for just the people working there.

My mother had a nice independent living apartment there for 11 months, but when she died May 27th, they stole the June rent they charged her! The one time she had to use the non-existant nursing rehab was aweful!! She had bruises on her face, legs and arms which I got Adams County Adult Protective Services involved because they could not tell me how it happened and had NO documentation! Her rehab was refused. They claimed she owed $900 co-pay, they bilked medicare for services she did not even get! Her June rent was never refunded and when I asked for an ending itemized billing I did not get anything, calls were not returned by the billing office, and no refund of June rent was given back to pay her final bills and costs of cremation and death expenses. Would I recommend Sunny Acres? ABSOLUTELY NOT!!
