We are so happy at Crossroads where my mother in law is so well cared for. With memory issues it can be hard on everyone and they treat her kindly and she’s always clean, safe, fed, medically cared for and has all the desserts she loves with every meal! I can’t thank everyone enough !

My father has been at Crossroads now for a couple months, after being with my wife and I for 7 years. He is doing so well there and they genuinely care about him. There are activities 7 days a week usually and he participates to the level he is able that day. I get to be his son again, not the person telling him what to do all the time. That has been such a blessing.

My wife has been living here for over 18 months and I live a 90 minute drive away so on days I am not able to be here the staff keeps me informed as to any changes. Everyone of the staff is so caring and willing to do what ever it takes to keep Margaret comfortable and safe. Everytime someone walks by they address the resident by name, that is so important to me, personal care. Laurie, Audrey, Jamie, and Mike are the main leaders, their attitude is projected through the whole staff. I feel so fortunate Margaret is being cared for by the crew. They are all angels to provide this kind of service. Attitude is big and it is really good in this place. I love them all. Dale

When my wife needed memory care, we visited some facilities in Lakewood that were a reasonable distance from our home. The last place we toured was Crossroads Memory Care. The contrast was palpable. I realized how sterile and commercial the other places were. Sure they were new and fancy, but Crossroads is also beautiful and less than nine years old. My gut said that Crossroads was warm and caring, and I couldn’t have been more right about that. The staff are amazing. They genuinely care about every resident and treat them with respect and kindness. They are never too busy to talk with a resident no matter how illucid that person may be, and they make them laugh. The caregivers go out of their way to make sure everyone is happy and comfortable, and they know the name of every resident. Crossroads provides lots of fun activities and serves delicious meals. The place is very clean and nice-smelling. It’s also telling that the Executive Director’s office is in the same area as the residents and that she keeps her door open for residents to drop in anytime. I feel so lucky to have my beloved wife in their excellent care.

Unprofessional administration! Resident medication is not priority concern charts are not read correctly and medications are crushed even with a NO Crush order causing extreme doses of a time released heart medication in our Moms case. We were alerted to this by State Board employee after she observed Qmap crushing medication. Sadly the good Caregivers were overworked and not appreciated by management, Also there was not a Nurse on staff as orginally stated. And some staff members were not qualified for with no medical backround or knowledge of Alzehiemers or Dementia, In all it was a very sad situation on so many levels, and hopefully things will change

My in-laws (95 & 97) were living in their home of the last 40 years, with the help of a 3-day per week part time help. Over the last year it became apparent that they would both benefit living in a memory care facility. (We live in another state, but my wife visits them monthly.) We toured five different facilities and felt that Crossroads Lakewood was the best fit based upon seeing the staff interacting with residents, cost (monthly & community fees) and the facility itself. My wife's parents have been at Crossroads for a little over a month now and are doing very well. They have a two room apartment with a southern exposure so it's nice and bright. Her dad raves about the staff and the food. We no longer have to worry about whether they're taking their meds and eating regularly.

My 101 year old mom has been living here in a shared 2 BR apt since last April 2023. The management and staff truly care about their residents and make them feel welcome. Very nice, well-maintained facility for the cost compared to other memory care places and we looked at many before making the decision to place our mom at Crossroads.

We had to move my father in quickly and we had no idea what we were doing. Everyone was so helpful and caring. The facility is clean, his room was spacious, and everyone was great. Almost felt like family after a while.

I am Joan Beesley of Beesley Realty Senior Services and I recently had the pleasure of touring Crossroads Senior Living with Alan Davis, Marketing and Admissions Director. My company works with seniors who want to list their homes and move into retirement communities. As part of our listing package we project manage pre-list activities such as downsizing, moving, cleaning, etc. for seniors and their families. I must say that out of the many senior communities we work with, Crossroads Senior Living is top-notch. The lovely new craftsmanship d©cor has the warm ambiance of a staying at a resort. Its beautiful restaurant accommodates both vegetarian and special dietary needs. Crossroads provides ancillary services such as audiology, podiatry and ophthalmology and rounding physicians including Kaiser. Physical, occupational and speech therapies are available. Most importantly, Crossroads provides a safe and structured support environment for a loved one needing memory care with a wide selection of weekly activities. Crossroads is above and beyond one of the best options around for Memory Care. Their sales manager Alan is phenomenal. They really have a great team in place there.

I put my brother in Crossroads of Lakewood at the change of ownership and beginning of COVID. He had Alzheimer’s and I chose Crossroads because it was memory care. He was comfortable there with a nice room, caring workers and good food. He did not know why he was in a fancy hotel and he tried to leave when he discovered how to open the outside door. I was told by the new management that he had to stop going outside or they would make him move out of the facility. They insisted that the doors must be able to open due to fire code. I called the Lakewood fire department and was told that they could instead install a quick release button. I brought this up with management and was angrily declined any consideration of that idea! My brother was able to keep getting the door open even though it was camouflaged. So we were forced to move him to another facility. This all took place during COVID and of course we could not visit him. After moving to another place, which was again unfamiliar to him, he gave up and died within 3 weeks. I was devastated and truly feel the move killed him. Crossroads is a nice facility but if your loved one likes to roam, DO NOT PLACE them here, please!!

My father has been here for almost 2 months and I have never seen such good care given. The place is exceptionally clean and the staff very attentive. Kudos to all the staff! I honestly don't know why the overall review is not higher - they deserve a 5 star.

Excellent staff who really cares about the residents and their families. The wellness nurse and assistant are very involved with the residents so health needs are met quickly. The facility is beautiful and well maintained with many room option choices. I would definitely recommend this facility

Very nice facility with a great care team. There are a few room options that are all very nice, great size, and have private bathrooms. The caregivers are attentive and compassionate, and the wellness nurse is extremely involved in the residents health and ensuring they get the medical care they need quickly

This review is only based off a tour of it. Location is nice - not too busy of a street. Nice central court yard. Very nice interior and common spaces nicely decorated. My biggest concern was how the building itself was designed and how the rooms are laid out. If your loved one ends up in a room facing south - they are the furthest resident away from the main core/hub of the community. So it's a good 100' (if not more) down a hallway and around a corner for a resident to walk to get assistance if care givers are not in that particular area. My loved one is beyond knowing to pull the emergency call cord - so it would be a big concern here.

My father has been living at Lakewood Memory Care for 3 months. The caregivers (Leelee, Annie, Shawdee, Jasmine, Alexis, Roxanne) and activity director (Kristina) are great! They honestly love him and it's great to see him surrounded by compassionate people who are excited to see him and want to care for him. The meals are great, my father has had plenty to eat. The facility is nice, much bigger than the one he was in before, and it's clean. His private room is perfect for him. He loved the activities with Kristina. It's a good facility overall, but there are problems as in all facilities. Things go missing, his sheets and clothes aren't always returned to him, and there's not enough staff for them to care for him and check on him hourly like they promise to do for $500 a month. The management responds quickly when we alert them to our concerns, but there's simply not enough staff, training and experience to correct the deficiencies. Good facility, but there's room for improvement.
