This is a top notch facility. Mom had a two month stay, and she was treated like family. Incredible people with a compassion for elderly dementia. Sarah, Susan, Barb, Angela, Gilbert, Shania, ladies at the front desk and many more are truly amazing. The center was always clean, the knew each person by name. Private rooms were spacious. This facility is well worth a five star rating.

As a hospice nurse that frequently visits WSMC, I can say without a doubt, all the staff there truly care for their residents and are always kind to visitors and families!

This is a wonderful memory care facility in GJ. My brother is there for almost 1 year he is very happy and safe there. The sales office Susan she was extremely nice helpful with us for an urgent transfer. The staff has been welcoming and friendly to our family members facility is clean food is good. I would highly recommend them for memory care needs we are grateful for their help and services.

Western Slope Memory goes above & beyond for their residents! Anyone who has had a loved one affected by dementia, Alzheimer's etc knows just how extremely difficult it can be to care for them. Their staff are always kind, compassionate, attentive & patient! I have a lot of experience with assisted living facilities & Western Slope Memory is the best, bar none.

I only have great things to say about WSMC. The extra level care they display at all times was evident from my very first phone call with the Executive Director, Sarah, when trying to find immediate and unanticipated placement for my mom. My mom had an especially hard time adjusting to needing care, but after only a few weeks, WSMC had her settled and they make every effort to keep her comfortable and busy. A very special thank-you to Lucretia at the front desk, who goes above and beyond to keep my high-functioning mom busy and feeling appreciated. I feel like I've found family at WSMC, which is a major sense of comfort and relief when I'm unable to provide the level of care and attention she needs.

Western Slope Memory care is a wonderful place my mom has been there for 2 years and they have taken such good care of her the activities room and staff are the best part they do such a great job of coming up with activities for every resident to participate in the staff is kind and compationate. They treat my mom like family. They have been with me through the many changes my sweet mom has been through I think of them as part of my family. The whole facility is wonderful compationate. We are. We are blessed to have my mom their. I also love the kitchen staff they are so wonderful they take such good care of each residents needs and know their needs. They are kind and friendl. The nurses are very sweet and kind and the administration are so helpful and compationate. Great communication. The ladies at the front are so wonderful and welcoming.

I have found the staff at Western Slope to be extremely concerned about the elderly population they serve. They have a great activities program and are willing to create new opportunities when requested. They really listen when there are concerns. I would recommended this facility highly.

Susan went above and beyond to expedite Dad's placement and we are extremely grateful. Barbara who did the assessment was absolutely wonderful and Angela involved Dad in activities upon his arrival making him a part of the facility. Thank you so very much

We are so thankful and relieved that we moved Dad to Western Slope Memory Care (WSMC). The staff work tirelessly to ensure that his needs are met, and we have appreciated the open communication with staff and leadership. I love hearing from them about how my father has been doing, what sorts of mischief he has gotten into, hearing stories about his day-to-day routine, etc. I will note that several times I have visited and his hygiene was a little lacking. This is likely because he does at times refuse assistance for perhaps no other reason than to maintain a sense of agency, and it is probably because of that. I will also note that a family member of one of the other residents has displayed open hostility towards my father. That has been very frustrating for our family as there is not much really that can be done in this case. A facility like this cannot simply kick out a resident because of an ornery family member. I personally have felt very supported by staff through this situation, and understand that they are doing what they can to ensure the mental, emotional, and physical safety of my father. They care about him, and that is apparent. Although I don't have extensive experience with other memory care facilities in the area, I have understood through numerous conversations with folks external to WSMC that it is among the best homes in the area. While other homes in the area have been known to struggle with monitoring their residents to ensure safety, WSMC does not appear to have that issue by any stretch. Staff are very well acquainted with the individual needs of each resident and keep a close eye on them to ensure their physical safety. I highly recommend Western Slope Memory Care.

My family loves this place. They are taking the best care I could ever ask for for my dad..- When my dad first got there he was struggling and they worked with them and helped him and now he's enjoying his days even more than before. The nurses and care team take such good care of my dad And make sure that he is safe and make sure that he is taking care of and all his needs are met.. I would highly highly recommend this place to anybody that is considering any kind of memory care facility.

If you are considering this facility, please do an extensive review. There is no monitoring system here as advertised on their website. Even after meeting with a person from a CA location, he had no idea what the facility actually had. If your loved one requires medication in a timely manner, this is not your location. Your loved ones clothes may or may not be returned to them. Often times clothes came up missing with no attempt to return. Other tenants laundry was given to your loved one.There are some really nice people working there, but the management is just not up to par to handle situations.

My mother is receiving the best care, from the caring staff. Because of her dementia she has good days and bad. The staff knows how to work with the special needs of dementia patients. My mother always enjoys the numerous daily activities. I am so thankful she has 24/7 supervision.

My wife and I have been visiting the Western Slope Memory Care Center a couple times a month for the last two years to play music for the residents. We travel to several facilities around Grand Junction and from what we have observed WSMC is one of the top providers. Angela, Mary, Susan and the rest of the staff are watchful and vigilant treating the residents with patience and tenderness. It is apparent they strive to provide all their residents with the best life possible.
