I’ve been a resident of Parkwood Estates since September 2023. I very much like the physical facility itself: the interior upgrades, my apartment, the way the building is laid out, the grounds. My reason for giving Parkwood 4 stars is dining services. And, remember, this is my opinion [emphasis on my’]. Meals are on a 5-week rotational basis. But during those 5 weeks, many of the meals, especially breakfast, are frequently repeated. Even though the menus are basically dictated by corporate, I wish that the chefs could use their imaginations more, even with the second option offered for lunch and supper. Our general manager is very much in tune with the needs of the residents. In fact, when she was appointed our GM, there was rejoicing and dancing in the streets’ [so to speak]. All staff members fulfill their functions as best they can each day. Remember, they’re all human.Do you have a perfect day every day? Speaking of staff, I’d like to give kudos to one of our housekeepers, Faith. From my own weekly experience, Faith does an excellent job at whatever she does, whether it be vacuuming, cleaning the bathroom, dusting, mopping the floor or changing and laundering the bed linens. There are also instances when the 2 housekeepers are called upon to help serve meals, due to a lack of servers. Bottom line, I like living at Parkwood.

I moved to Parkwood 3 years ago, my MS had got to the point where I was having trouble with things like making meals and cleaning but I definitely wasn’t ready for assisted living. My daughters went with me to look at the many different facilities in Fort Collins but when we got to Parkwood we could all tell we had found someplace special. From the moment we walked into the building it felt like home. The staff greeted us with warm caring smiles and made sure we felt welcome. After living here for 3 years I can say without hesitation that I’m glad I made the decision to move here. Parkwood offers so many wonderful things for someone in my situation. 3 good home cooked meals per day. Weekly house cleaning. Bus service from Parkwood to anywhere in the city Monday through Friday, special programs and presentations, and a caring encouraging atmosphere that motivates the residents to stay engaged in their lives and community.

Parkwood Estates in Fort Collins,is an independent living in Colorado. I moved 3 1/2years ago from Massachusetts. have been very happy here, the staff is wonderful and there are many activities to enjoy. I highly recommend trying out different activities, you'll make friends and have fun. You may find out you are an artist! I did! The grounds are lovely here with old growth trees and lovely blossoms in the spring. I love being out walking my dog in the beautiful Colorado weather. The building has been remodelled inside and out,and looks great.

Great place for retired people. Pleasant, friendly staff, responsive to suggestions, appreciate new ideas. Remember names and like/dislikes. Has a great assortment of activities and interests to appeal to everyones' tastes.

Recently toured Parkwood Estates to try and move my mom out of Rigden Farms. Staff were very knowledgeable and the woman who gave the tour was fantastic! Building looks a little old on the outside, but the interior, the rooms, and accommodations were amazing! Will be moving Mom as soon as we are able!

For the most part this has been a wonderful place to live and hasn't been the best of places during the covid crisis but nothing ever is perfect no matter where you live especially when you're dealing with a large group of people.I have now lived here for 5 years and suddenly they By telling us thatWe are no longer sanctioned for shelled eggs

I've been living at Parkwood for 5 weeks. The corporation, Atria, is the reason behind my 2-star rating. They obviously don't pay servers, kitchen help, or housekeepers a living wage because there are not enough of any of these staff. At meal times we can wait up to an hour and a half to get an entree. The rental agreement states a housekeeper will clean our room once a week, but since I have moved in no one has come to clean my room. Other residents have also complained about this. On the plus side, the food is good--made by chefs that care about the quality. And there is a shuttle bus 3 days a week to take us shopping, doctors appointments, etc.

I recently visited Parkwood. I was very impressed with how clean it is, and all that they have to offer their residents. It is clear to me how much Joe the GM genuinely cares about his residents. When I saw him interacting with his residents it was clear to me that Joe goes above and beyond to make sure his residents are happy.

This is a wonderful independent living community. I have but one complaint and that is that it is not wheelchair friendly. The showers are not wheelchair accessible. Other than that it is a wonderful community.

Family member had to wash dishes in bathtub for 3 weeks due to plugged sink they refused to call maintenance. Patio has an Inch of ice due to no gutter over patio

My mother had stayed here for three months before transferring to assisted living place. Four years ago. And I love this place. It was good for her...to mingle with other people. In the dining area. Library. TV room. I am thinking about moving here too!

Friendly staff and the residents are friendly and welcoming. We brought my mother in law to visit and decide her next chapter. Being widowed we thought this was going to be difficult but actually she was pleased to meet the residents and staff and I believe is looking forward to this next chapter for the first time in 7 months since her loss. Excited for her and this place is going to be great for her.

My grandma just got a nice little place here and it seems to be treating her well so far. She likes the activities, the offerings for transportation around town, and the people. Her little apartment is pretty neat and has everything she needs. The dining facilities are pretty nice too. Their chef does a pretty good job. The Christmas decorations have everything looking very festive and bright. Overall I think it offers senior folks a pretty great alternative to living on their own.
