Extended Family, or as my Dad referred to his caregivers, his Angels, were a part of our family for over eight years. Our parents began with care a few hours a day for assistance with bathing, meal preparation, and light housekeeping. Care expanded to twenty-four hours a day as Dad's health declined and Mom stopped driving. Services offered by Extended Family (EF to us) went far beyond standard elderly caregiving. Over the years, our Angels escorted my parents to family weddings, holiday dinners, doctor appointments, and mountain excursions. Caregivers genuinely cared for my parents and treated them as i they were the caregiver's own family members. Brittany and Leah strove to ensure "good fits" for our parents' personalities and needs. When there were issues, management addressed problems head-on. During the pandemic, protocols were implemented to allow our family to remain in close contact and visit regularly. Extended Family enabled our parents to live and die in their own home. Dad, Mom, and family members were treated with respect and dignity. We continue to recommend Extended Family to friends.
