We cannot say enough good things about Brookdale University Park. It was our mother's home the final 2-1/2 years of her life, first in her beautiful independent living apartment, with its view of both the Rockies and downtown Denver, and later, following a decline in her heath and physical capabilities, in a lovely assisted living studio apartment. We did not know what to expect when we moved her to assisted living, but we soon came to realize our mom was in the place she was supposed to be. Overseen by Rosalie Corral, the Health and Wellness Director, and Ana Ramirez, Rosalie's right-hand person, the entire AL staff and the housekeeping staff, provided excellent, personalized care and kind attention that demonstrated to use every day that our mom was being care for by people who treated her as they would want their own family member to be care for. On the afternoon our mom passed away, when we pushed her call button for the final time, every member of the AL staff who was available came to Mom's bedside. Rosalie had a job to do, but everyone else just came in to say their final goodbyes and to be there for us. There were many hugs and tears. It meant so much to us to know that our mom was so loved. Thank you Brookdale University Park.

Brookdale has been a good fit for my dad for nearly nine years. He lived at the Tamarac facility until January 2025 at which time my family agreed that he needed a bit of supervision, and so we moved him to the assisted living section at University Park. University Park is a bright and cheery place and makes a good first impression. Dad is very comfortable in his studio apartment. There is a built-in desk area, a bathroom with walk-in shower, a refrigerator and two windows which overlook an outdoor sitting area. We were able to bring in a surprising amount of his furniture, including his double bed. He is just steps away from the dining room, and the food is more than ample. The staff are all cordial, and they treat Dad with respect. They come in daily to put on and take off his compression socks, and he gets weekly laundry service and a change of bedding. Dad takes part in a morning exercise program, and other activities are available. In nice weather, one staffer takes residents to an outdoor patio for a ball-toss game. Some residents enjoy watching television on a big screen TV in the lobby, and occasionally entertainment groups come to perform. The assisted living area”staff and residents”are very much a family. All work together for the common good. I frequently stop in and chat with the manager, who is always welcoming. Someone is available 24/7 in case emergency situations arise. All Dad needs to do is press the call button around his neck. In recent weeks, his health has declined, and so we decided to bring in hospice care, and Brookdale is fine with that. They work with several different hospice agencies here in Denver. Dad will be able to stay where he is, and hospice services will come to him. No relocation is necessary. We are all pleased that Dad is where he is. Thank you, Brookdale!

My mom moved to Brookdale in December 2022 after my dad passed away. We initially moved her into the independent living part of the building, and because of some cognitive issues have transitioned to her to assisted living earlier this year. These have been certainly difficult times, and difficult transitions, however, the care at Brookdale has been extraordinary. Many of these facilities have high turnover rates because of how difficult this job is; we’ve seen the same faces throughout our entire state in the independent side, and especially now through the assisted-living side of care. For the latter, the consistency is so important, particularly with memory care and issues of physical mobility. I’m amazed at how many of the staff know, not just my moms name, but that of our family when we come to see her. They’ve always been kind, and tend to her as if they were part of her family. Forbanybody who is looking for a great facility with great people for these difficult times, I would encourage you to consider Brookdale University Park.

I’m an assisted living resident at brookdale University Park Denver and I have to say I’m very happy the care that you receive here or that we receive I should say is excellent. The caregivers always have a smile and are willing to go above and beyond every day. The food is wonderful. We have a good maintenance team that if something goes wrong they’re here immediately to get it fixed I looked at a lot of facilities my daughter and I before I moved in, but we decided this was the best and if you’re deciding to make a move, you need assisted living or independent living. I recommend brookdale university park. It is the best if you’re trying to move your parents when they know no longer can make that decision you can be very assured that you’re making the best with Brookdale university Park. It is a blessing to have Mom so well cared for at the Assisted Living community here. Mom started in the Independent Community at Brookdale for three + years. As her needs changed, the transition was made so easy and we couldn't be more impressed by the staff and amenities. Mom seems years younger under their compassionate assistance. Thank you to Rosalie, Zee and the entire staff for all you do every day to make such a difference.

We chose Brookdale's catering facility for our organization's annual luncheon and I'm so glad we did! Everything was set up for us when we arrived, the food was delicious, and the staff went above and beyond to provide excellent service, even accommodating late arrivals and dietary restrictions. Comments from the attendees were universally positive, and hopefully we can hold next year's luncheon here as well. A big thank you to Zach and his crew!

My 96-year-old mother spent 12 years living at Brookdale University Park, first independently and then in assisted living (AL). The community was engaged and supportive, the staff helpful and caring. When mom arrived in AL she required extra help with mobility and extra attention to personal care. We never worried for a moment that her needs would be met, and always with a smile. This was especially true at the very end. Brookdale U.P. is a first-rate, well-run independent and assisted living community.

This is an Independent Living with Assisted Living apartment complex. We’ve been here ~8 months and there is a variety of activities so we’ve been making new friends. The staff is friendly, helpful and knowledgeable which is great as we’re new to Denver and Colorado. Food has been good and filling. 4 stars since something might get better.

My Mom is 87 and has been at Brookdale University Park for almost 3 years. I can't express how well she has been taken care of. Rosalie heads up the group and she is wonderful. Whenever I have a question or there ate any issues, she is always available to my brother and I. She responds immediately if I have questions, and also keeps us informed. Rosalie and her staff are amazing and always keeps up with our Mom. Rosalie is very straight foreword and always responds to any inquiries we may have. My brother and I feel very supported by Roslies and staff, and feel very comfortable that our Mom is being well taken care of. I can't express enough how that makes us feel. If you had ten stars, I would gladly rate Rosalie and her staff there. We love where our Mom is, and how well she is taken care of and supported.

My mother-in-law lived at Brookdale for four years before her passing. She was a resident of both the independent living and the assisted living facilities. She loved living there and the staff was the most warm, friendly, caring and professional of any that I have ever encountered. The staff of the assisted living facility went way beyond anything that I could have wished for with her care. She was cared for in an extremely professional and caring manner, always with respect and dignity. Rosalie and her staff were the most amazing care team I have ever had the pleasure of working with. There was absolutely nothing they wouldn't do for my mother-in-law, and my appreciation for what they did can't be expressed in a short review. I would highly recommend the Brookdale facility, their assisted living care staff and all their support staff to anyone who may be looking for a facility to care for their loved ones. My 80 yr old mom lives here and I go visit and have meals with her in the beautiful full service dining room! The security is tight and each apartment has a security alarm and slip and fall buttons that go directly to the front desk! I sleep well knowing she's at such a wonderful place! Absolutely no complaints!

Brookdale University Park is an excellent retirement community. The staff and residents are warm and friendly. The living situation is very good. The staff is very responsive and quick to help. Activities are varied and entertaining. Most of all, residents are kind and interesting. I highly recommend Brookdale University Park as a lovely place to live.

I have lived here since October and think it’s a great place to live. The residents are friendly, and the staff goes out of their way to be kind and helpful. I love my apartment with a gorgeous view of the mountains. It has a full kitchen, even including a dishwasher, and there are both a washer and a dryer in my bathroom. The food is good. There is a wide variety of activities.

This past two months I have been using Brookdale at Home to help with my husband who broke his shoulder. I couldn't have gotten through without their help. Alyssia has always satisfied my needs and requests. Those requests have ranged from changing times of day, to changing the days of the week and even changing the person I have coming to my apartment to help me out. It’s so great knowing that if I have any issue with Brookdale at Home, Alyssia’s right there to oblige me.

Love the apartment and most of the people. Reception staff, housekeeping and wait staff are excellent and pleasant. Food is hit and miss. Always running out of something. Vegetables are almost always overcooked. There’s a running theme of steamed squash and zucchini, which are usually mush. Soup is universally excellent. The desserts are usually good too. Main courses are wannabe gourmet. Some good, but mostly tasteless. Would like to see more normal food and a variety of vegetables. The dining room quite often gets ridiculously hot. We’ve set up a thermometer at various tables and it gets up to 80 degrees. Lately, I’ve given up eating the meal between the quality of it and the heat at dinner. Most of the activities are started and run by the residents. Those run by Brookdale are mostly entertainment. There needs to be more interactive ones. A variety of different exercise classes would be nice, especially at different times.

My FIL has been at Brookdale UP for about four months in the Assisted Living. I just can’t say enough about the head nurse in charge and her care team. He had been experiencing some pain and his afternoon, they knew something was off. Thank goodness for their instincts as an ER visit was warranted. My parents lived in Independent Living for 2.5 years and loved it. They enjoyed both the people and the activities. The staff was super and made sure my parents were especially well cared for during Covid. When their needs became greater they moved to Assisted Living. I just can't say enough about Rosalie and her amazing staff. I always had a peace of mind that my parents' needs were being met in a caring and timely manner. My mom was there for five months and became great friends with the staff that cared for her. I will always be grateful for my parents' time at Brookdale.

My mother has resided at Brookdale University Park for almost 10 years, first in Independent Living, and now in Assisted Living. During that time we have gotten to know some very caring people who have looked out for her, helped her, and gone above and beyond to adjust to her changing needs, and to help her have a good life at Brookdale. At times, staff turnover has been a problem, as with many businesses these days, but recently that seems to have improved. The current building renovations will do much to freshen up and brighten the public areas of the building for both residents and visitors. Overall, the staff at Brookdale University Park has provided a welcoming, safe, comfortable home for my mother for the last 10 years.

Caring and safety-concerned staff, in a great location. Good Brookdale van transport and excellent RTD bus at the door and nearby Light Rail with parking. Dining service was disrupted by pandemic safety measures and re-training and re-staffing is needed.
