We visited Someren Glen as my parents are thinking about a senior living facility. The location is great, the people are very friendly, and it seems like a great senior living option! We love that it has continuing care options and is part of the Christian Living Communities.

Everyone at this facility has been more than accommodating to me to preform my job properly. The head chef is so gracious and kind very approachable without question. I cannot say anything negative about this particular facility. I would enjoy working here in the future if asked and offered a position ! Great job team !!

My father was a resident on the Aspen floor of the long term care part of Someren Glen. It was a gut wrenching decision to place my father in a nursing care facility. I have high expectations and can be overly critical. My mother and I visited my father 4 to 5 times a week for two plus hours and really got to know the facility. I can honestly say that the nursing staff, CNA's and folks who work in nutritional services are AMAZING, gifted, and passionate professionals. They give exceptional care to the residents and extend love and support to the family. From the bottom of my heart I offer an abundance of gratitude for the love and care my father received from the Aspen team. (If I could give 4 1/2 stars it would only be because there were times that our interactions and communication with the administrative team was difficult and the chaplain they have never once introduced himself. Every time I was in Someren Glen he was either not there, or in his office, with the door closed, on his computer.)

I was blessed to work at Suites at Someren Glen skilled nursing for close to 3 years. You will literally not find a more dedicated and spirit-filled group of people who truly strive to provide compassionate care to the elderly and in-need, both short and long term. I left only due to geography. My heart is still there. Place your loved one here - you will never be sorry

My grandparents moved into the independent living section of Someren about a month ago. Every time I visit, the staff and residents are so friendly! From what I can tell so far, the community really cares about each other - my grandparents have received invites to all sorts of group gatherings. Having people reach out when you're new to a place is so helpful 🙂

Elaine Romero is THE BEST nurse manager EVER!!!! My stepdad has been here for at least 2 weeks and I could not be happier with his care! Elaine has taken excellent care of him, kept me updated frequently and even caught a serious health issue he had and sent him to the hospital! Probably saved his life! I wasnt expecting too much when he first went there, since many rehab places turn out to be only fair. But, Someren Glen has turned out to be wonderful! My stepdad remarks how good they are to him and says the food is good too. Alena, the Social Worker, is very responsive and keeps in touch, always returning phone calls and following through! Tyler is really helping him with the physical therapy part and getting him strong again! They have not tried to push him out with an early discharge, but really care that he is back to health and strong again! Even the woman who answers the phone at the main number is very nice and goes above and beyond to explain about the place and help you find what you need. I dont know all the others names, but my stepdad says theyve given him nice showers and always check on him and help him quickly when he needs something. I chose this place for him and Im so glad I did. I have been a nurse for 20 years and am in grad school for nurse practitioner. I have a good grasp on what healthcare should be and this place has exceeded expectations! Thank you Elaine Romero, Alena, Tyler and everyone at Someren Glen!

Someren Glen is a first class community that offers care to all levels of need. My mother spent nearly 21 months in the long term care community and thrived there. The entire staff from administration to the health workers, life enrichment and housekeeping have truly caring hearts and are invested in the residents. I could not have chosen a better community for my mother and I would recommend Someren Glen to anyone seeking long term care.

I have a professional relationship with Someren Glen. I have great respect for the skilled nursing. The staff is very caring and really k ow their patients. My other favorite part is working with Alina Muresan, their social worker. She is a pleasure to work with and truly takes care of every detail.

Someren Glen is a very nice looking place and even has a grand piano I can play. They offer awesome drinks of water for the guests, which I really need. I was disappointed that there was no gluten-free food for me to eat, like there was at the hospital. I was extremely disappointed when I could not communicate with my husband. I left a message for him with the receptionist. She did not say when I left the message that it was not her job to deliver it. I believe she gave it to the nurse manager, who dropped the message. The nurse manager later told me I could use a different means of communication, which I have not tried yet, but I was not happy that an important message was lost. I left a message to let my husband know I would be there at 3:30 PM and thought it was delivered. I was so tired from all the stress I could not drive that day, but I took Lyft to get there on time. When I arrived, my husband was asleep and slept for two more hours, during which time I waited around. I felt like my money and efforts to get there on time were wasted. A message was dropped by the staff, who could have been more professional about it.I do not think the staff realizes how much stress and fatigue family members go through. Not being able to communicate multiplies that stress. This problem could be better addressed.I decided to edit this, and increase my rating from one to four stars, because the rehab center provided a way for me to communicate with my husband. However, they still need to take steps to prevent the problem from re-occurring.

Greg, the lead physical therapist, was great, as was the entire nursing staff. The food was also great. Due to their efforts, she is back at her assisted care facility and doing wonderfully. I cannot say enough good things about Somern Glen.

I am a nurse who has worked in assisted living facilities. This is one of the best facilities around. One challenge that all LTC facilities face is staffing. While many would say "just pay them more", the customers (me and you) don't want to pay more, and so your option would be to hire a full/part-time aide or nurse (expensive for us). My point is that there are options. I've seen other employees serving at dinner to help out when they are short - staffed , which is incredible. They really try and really care here, and that cannot be said for all facilities.

My mom was here for 20 days and we were impressed with the care and service she received, as well as the fabulous communication with the staff. She really seemed to thrive at Someren Glen. Then she fell and went to a different facility, and the level of care was night and day! I wish we had had Someren Glen as an option the second time around, as she is certainly not thriving where she is.Thanks bunches and a /hat tip to the folks at Someren Glen!
