We have a hard time leaving our loved ones in the care of others. Human nature. My father has had complications with extreme dementia that took away his ability to take care of himself. When living from home is not an option, Peakview Memory Care has been a breath of fresh air. Nikki, her team and the nursing staff on the memory care side have been phenomenal. Activities seem to be enjoyable and give my dad a place he feels safe. Nikki has been a true blessing for him, but also for me. Her warmth and kindness helps me know that my father is loved and that is more important than anything.

Lilia Rodriguez in the salon takes excellent care of my mother. She does her hair and nails weekly and even gave her a perm recently after my mom saw another resident that had one done by Lilia. She loves it! Lilia is warm and caring and has made friends with my mom. I live out of state and she keeps me updated on my mom. I told Lilia I was coming to town to surprise my mom and Lilia came in on her day off to do mom’s hair for the occasion and to see her reaction when I came in. She really goes above and beyond for the residents! She’s amazing!

Peakview has become one of the most disappointing places I’ve ever had to deal with, especially considering how much trust families put in them to care for their loved ones. The main problem starts with the coordinator, Remy, who seems to spend more time chatting behind closed doors than actually doing her job. Every time I visit, she’s either in her office sitting inside laughing with certain staff members instead of being out on the floor making sure residents are cared for. The caregivers and QMAPs often get held up in her office, talking about off-topic things that have nothing to do with their work, which delays the help that residents desperately need. Whenever I ask questions she’s always busy doing off topic chatting. My mom, who lives there, has had to wait far too long for assistance because no one is available when she calls. It’s heartbreaking and frustrating to see her go through that, knowing that it could easily be avoided if Remy took her responsibilities seriously. I’ve tried multiple times to have calm and respectful conversations with Remy about improving how things are managed, but nothing changes. It feels like she avoids accountability and pretending not to hear when people need her. Even when families like mine come looking for her, she’s nowhere to be found. This behavior gives the impression that she doesn’t care about the residents or the staff, and it affects everyone in the building. The environment she creates feels unorganized and unprofessional, which is especially disappointing in a place meant to provide care and comfort to older adults. The only bright spot at Peakview is Ryan, the Executive Director. He is genuinely caring, understanding, and reliable. Whenever I have a concern or question, Ryan listens carefully and does whatever he can to fix the issue. He treats residents and their families with respect and shows true compassion for their situations. Unlike Remy, he’s always visible, approachable, and active in making sure things run smoothly. His leadership brings a sense of hope to a place that would otherwise feel completely disorganized. Honestly, Ryan is the main reason I’ve chosen to keep my mom there — because I know that at least one person in charge truly cares. Without him, I don’t think Peakview would function properly at all. He’s the example of what good leadership looks like, and I hope the rest of the staff eventually learns from his attitude. Elise is also a really great person super helpful and caring.

My Mom has been at Peakview for 6 1/2 years now. Through this period of her life, I couldn't have chosen a better place or encountered more delightful Care Staff. My Mom lived on the AL side for 6 years and participated in many of the outings, the art projects and various entertainment that were offered. About six months ago, my Mom needed to be transferred to the MC section. To be honest, I was very worried about how she would handle it. The Care Staff rotate throughout the building so my Mom was familiar with them and it wasn't as traumatic as I had thought it might be. My mom is still very social. Peakview meets their residence where they are. I have never arrived to visit her where my mom was sitting in her room alone! She enjoys the group singing, trivia, crafts and their walks outside when the weather is nice. The Care Staff is loving and offers laughs and hugs when needed. All-in-all, I would choose Peakview all over again!

My father has lived at Peakview the last seven months, both in memory care and now assisted living. We couldn’t be more pleased with his care. The facility itself is very nice and comfortable with a very homey modern feel. There are also many in-house providers that do physical therapy, medical and salon services. All of the staff from the front desk concierge to the care team to the office staff have all been helpful and friendly. Upon walking in, the staff always knows how my dad has been that day. We have received prompt communication from the staff when any issues come up, and feel like they have done a great job accommodating to the needs that my dad has had.

My partner has been in assisted living at Peakview for almost six years. During this time, he has developed positive friendships with other assisted living residents and has experienced exceptional assistance and care from employees at the facility. The facility offers many, many opportunities for activities for engagement. Some examples are: arts and crafts, weekly live music, nightly movies, expert speakers on a great variety of topics, excursions to restaurants for lunch, shopping opportunities, outdoor activities during the warmer months, and much more. The staff is always welcoming and engaging and provides great support for both the residents and their families. There are monthly "Residence Council Meetings" for the residents to interact with the various department heads: residents can ask questions, state concerns, etc. The bottom line is that Peakview Assisted Living is a quality residence. If I had any doubts, my partner would not be living there. I recommend that you visit, ask questions and see what a quality facility Peakview Assisted Living truly is.

My 88-year-old father lived at Peakview for about one year. Prior to his move, we had toured about 5 other assisted living facilities and thought Peakview would be a good choice. From the beginning, we experienced issues where services and ADL care tasks were not being performed by Peakview staff. The tasks detailed in his care plan such as laundry, changing of bed linens, shower assistance, and grooming were simply not being completed. As family members, we were constantly following up to why these services were not being done. Every time we visited my father, we wondered what issue we would have to deal with. When we contacted Peakview management regarding these issues, we were always politely told that they would be addressed. Unfortunately, nothing ever changed. We also experienced issues with Peakview’s medical management process and medication chain-of-custody. At one point, we considered contacting the State of Colorado to file a complaint. During his residency, we experienced multiple occasions where medications were lost and/or incorrectly dosed. We also had issues where Peakview didn’t perform timely updates to their medication database. Lastly, we had times when my father was being incorrectly billed for medications what were never administered. At one of our final care meetings, I can still remember the Executive Director saying, ‘Let us (Peakview) handle the day-to-day activities of daily living, so you can enjoy quality time with your loved one.’ Our experience with Peakview was nothing like that. At the end of my father’s residency, we were paying close to $9000 a month and Peakview was still not consistently performing tasks documented in his care plan. After our 3rd formal care meeting, we decided it was hopeless and made the difficult decision to move my father. Peakview is a modern facility and some of the staff members are very nice. Don’t be fooled. If you want your loved one actually cared for, don’t choose Peakview.

DO NOT MOVE YOUR LOVED ONE HERE! My mom lived at Peakview for less than a year, and during that time we continually had issues with medication management (including forgotten medications and refills), oxygen monitoring (left with no oxygen for periods of time), meal delivery (including forgotten deliveries meaning mom didn’t eat) assistance with personal care and moving around the apartment. We were paying for care items that were not consistently provided, which caused unnecessary stress. Our concerns are either ignored, or treated as over-exaggeration. Management was terrible with communication and answering questions in a timely manner. We finally made the difficult decision to put our mom through a second move to a different assisted living facility, and the difference has been like night and day. We were drastically overcharged at Peakview for subpar service for our mom. Our mom is doing so much better after leaving Peakview. Please save yourself and your loved one from the nightmare that is Peakview and do not move them in here.

My parents have both been at Peakview Assisted Living for 6 months. The first entire month, my father did not receive his assisted showers. They have had a recent change in the Executive Director, the Nurse Managers, Director of Nursing, bookkeeping and caregivers. They are not able to provide the care that they promise, showers are often forgotten. When I contact the facility, they call back and promise they will be done, then nothing happens. I am very concerned about my parents staying there on a long-term basis. If they can't even give my dad a shower twice a week, what happens when they need more care?

The entire staff at Peakview made the process of selecting a care community for my mother so much easier and more pleasant than I could have imagined. I visited several communities and Peakview was far and away the top choice in all of the categories that were important to our family. The GENUINE care and interest in my mother’s wellbeing and comfort were evident from the moment we arrived. The Executive Director did a wonderful job of assessing my mother’s needs, answering all of our questions and assuaging my mother’s concerns about moving out of her home. Each time we walk in to visit, we are warmly greeted by name and usually with a quick comment about how mom’s day has been. Knowing that she is surrounded by a group of professionals who authentically care about her is the greatest peace of mind I could have asked for. The facility itself is beautiful! The common spaces are all beautifully appointed, comfortable and very inviting. The food is great. The programming and activities are great. A+++++++++ across the board! Not at all what I expected when we started looking. You will not find a better group of people. Thank you!!!!!

My dad was at Peakview for a little over a year. At the beginning, things kind of went as some past reviews stated: billing issues, short staffing, etc. Once the new management team started (about 7 or so months ago) everything got better. Billing issues were promptly taken care of, staff was always present and any minor issue that arose was addressed with great acumen. The facility is very clean and fresh and the food is really pretty darn good!! Unfortunately, my dad passed away recently, but the impact that both he made on the staff and they made on him was very evident. If you are thinking of moving your loved one to Peakview, do so. Things have changed there in a few short months and I was so very comfortable knowing my dad was cared for by the staff and his best interests were looked after. Thank you Peakview!

If you have your loved one here at least in AL keep an eye on your monthly statements for changes. Turn over from leadership down to the RA's is so bad. My mother had to constantly ask if she was going to get her shower on her assigned days. Thank goodness she still has her mind and was able to take her own medications. Yet they ordered her medications through their pharmacy, she never received them and to my surprise when I received a bill from the pharmacy. Director of Nursing said she would send it to corporate to get it taken care of. Never heard back and kept getting bills, called the pharmacy and told me what the Director needed to do to get the charges changed. She said she was on the phone with them as we spoke (typed). Come to find out she either quit or was fired that day. I always communicated via email just so I had everything in writing and I CC and BCC the Director of Assisted Living and the Executive Director so they all knew what was going on. The Director of Assisted Living either quit or was fired the same day. So my I contacted the Executive Director and she denied knowing any of this but if I would send her all the information she would look into it. She was very nasty about it. Never heard back and kept getting bills threatening to send my mom to collections, needless to say I paid the bill and got my mother the hell out of there. I truly believe the corporate people are greedy and don't pay the hourly employees very well and they are expecting the RA's to work 16 hour shifts. That's too long and can't be safe for anyone. I do not recommend this facility.

I would not recommend Peakview to anyone who cares about the care given to their loved one. In less than one year, there was at least three executive directors, at least three head nurses and countless other staffing changes. I realize Covid has placed staffing strains on assisted living facilities but with this much turnover, you cannot maintain consistent care of your loved one. In addition to these non-stop staffing changes, it is also nearly impossible to get through to anyone to discuss care. The most troubling part of my experience is that the most basic care needs were not consistently taken care of, including basic hygiene and trash removal. Meals and meds are provided and residents left to fend for themselves. No alerting to family that care needs need review/change. It saddens me to think how heartless - and frankly - illegal this is. Although a beautiful facility, do not be fooled.

When we found out my mother was no longer fit to care for herself we knew we needed to find a place that would give her the care and attention she needed along with the things she would love. When we arrived at Peakview the first thing we noticed was how well the outside of the build and lawn had been taken care of. So many places we looked at seemed like a jail with not very many windows or flowers, grass or trees. Peak place has trees and flowers and a wonderful sitting area. When we walked in we were greeted immediately!! Which was great. The manager, Jayna, (who I have come to know well from many phone calls)happened to be coming out of the dining room. She greeted us with a huge smile and welcome. She herself gave us a wonderful tour, spoke about her journey to Peakview and how her love for each resident stemmed from her own grandmother. My heart was more at ease at Peakview then any of the other places we looked at. I was amazed at the friendly staff and up beat atmosphere. We have not looked back. My mom is well taken care of and her only complaint is the static her socks create in the winter! Lol. In other words my gratitude for Peakview cannot be measured with words!!

I have spent several days a week in this facility for over a year now, providing direct therapy services to residents who have experienced a decline in function, and I've found that the care that they receive from the staff at Peakview is top notch. I travel throughout the Denver metro area, treating residents of various assisted living facilities, and Peakview's attentiveness and individualized care is unparalleled. From the caregivers to nursing staff, concierge, and director, every employee knows the name and preferences of each resident, and are quick to notice when residents are having difficulty or feeling ill. This assisted living is large enough to offer residents a wide range of activities (including outings to Top Golf, a favorite!), yet small enough to feel intimate and homey. The memory care staff is specially trained to handle all levels of cognitive decline while maintaining each resident's identity, dignity, and preferences. If my loved one was in need of assisted living, Peakview would be my top choice.

When my mom was in need of assisted living I learned of a new residence that was opening called Peakview. We went to the open house and learned everything Peakview had to offer and it was at that time I met the Director of Community Relations. She was extremely helpful, compassionate and met with me in confidence outside the bathroom facilities so I could put a down payment on a future move in date. She was understanding and supportive during that difficult day and continued to be patient, helpful, supportive, compassionate for the next six months until my mom moved into Peakview. She was my strength during those difficult months. Once my mom moved in we met other staff members and were greeted with friendliness, respect, and comfort. The staff provided an environment of safety, happiness, and a true caring attitude. They came and got mom for entertainment, activities, meals, and just being involved with other residents. They respected the entire building as her new home. It was an extremely difficult seven months for my mom with the numerous emotions she went through giving up her home and independence. It was less then 24 hours after mom moved into Peakview that she smiled and said to me I love it here it already it feels like home.
