We cannot thank you enough for the love and care that you showed for our loved one and for us in the short time that she was a resident at your wonderful facility. Every single staff member went out of their way to help us in every way possible. Very well run facility!

I stopped in recently to learn more about the community, and I had a wonderful experience. Shawn and Gina took the time to show me around and were incredibly knowledgeable, warm, and inviting. They made a great impression and truly reflect the welcoming environment at Brookdale. Thank you again for such a positive visit! - Ambrosha from Homewatch Caregivers

They told me they would work with my mom’s diet restrictions , but that isn’t happening. The food is horrible. If my mom isn’t feeling well they just leave her in bed all day. They don’t even call me. My mom calls me & I go take care of her. I Make her soup , tea, toast etc. There are no activities for a person with Macular. They stopped a medication without my mom’s cardiologist input. Which put her in the hospital for 3 days. They often skip her medication because she doesn’t want it , but they don’t notify me so I can insist she take her meds. She ran out of Eliquis. They told me they ordered it Jan. 7. She took her last pill on the morning of Jan 14. They lied, they didn’t order her medicine until January 13 when I asked for a breakdown from Optum when they had ordered her medicine that had happened for quite a few months in a row. So there were times my mom wasn’t getting her Eliquis. I am getting overcharged for my mom’s medicine. They never do outings. The only thing my mom likes there is the weekly music & church service. The staff is not trained to handle onset dementia or difficult residents. I am not happy nor do I feel my mom is taken care of for $8,000 plus a month and the price went up $450 a month in January 2026. I am moving her January 16 because neither one of us Trust people working at Brookdale.

The facility it self is amazing and the patients our fabulous. However management has to be the worst I’ve seen in all 30 years of my career. These residents deserve better.

Brookdale has a fantastic Resident/Ambassador program, which ensures that each new resident is welcomed to the community. The Ambassadors take the time to meet the families and spend the time to make the new residents transition pleasant. Management, Staff and employees treat each resident with the utmost respect and radiate an atmosphere of love and being a part of a family.

We've have two residents, Mother in Law, and Uncle in Law, at Brookdale Brighton, since February 2019. The entire Staff is Awesome, and although turnover happens we continue to see quality staffers. The facility is very clean and presentable at any time. Four Star Rating just leaving room for tomorrow. But truly we couldn't have a beter place for our Loved ones.

They are short staffed more often than not and their bus is broken down more often than not. The staffing is a health department issue and the bus is supposed to be available to take residents to doctor's appointments; however, my father has lived there for almost 2 years and the bus has only been able to take him to his appointments once because the bus is in the shop so often. They have high turnover rates, the cleaning of the apartments is terrible, and there have been several instances of negligence to other residents, not mine, that have been noticed not only by myself but other residents as well. My Dad never seems to get all of his laundry back either; however, I have not confirmed this so it's strictly 3rd party hearsay right now. We were also lied to about several things upon move in; such as, the bus being able to take residents to appointments on Tuesdays and Thursdays, we were told they took credit cards for rent (my dad likes to earn rewards so he can travel) but they don't and they are not even looking at doing so in the future, we were also told that if a resident doesn't like what is being served for a meal they can order whatever they want and they will make it but this doesn't happen unless you want a p b & j sandwich instead of the main course or a hot dog, there has also been a rash of thefts over the past couple of years where things have been taken from residents' rooms, additionally there have been some seriously questionable people who have worked there (thankfully they no longer work there) but it makes one wonder how they hire people and what criteria they are looking for. Overall, I am not happy with this facility and if it wouldn't be so traumatic to my father, I would have moved him elsewhere at least 6 months ago. I do not recommend this facility. On a more positive note there are a few things that we do like such as, a CNA named Oomie (sp?) who is wonderful and takes terrific care of at least my dad, although I've seen her with other residents and she is definitely in the right field as she seems to enjoy her job. The food, according to my dad has gotten much better since they've hired the new cook. The food before apparently was bad which I can kind of corroborate as I'd eaten there several times until I decided that I couldn't do it anymore because the food was so bad. Maria, the activities lady is very sweet, helpful, kind, and from what I've seen likes what she is doing and attempts to do her best by the residents which is much appreciated. The last person is Leanne whom I don't know very well but from chatting with her a couple of times just briefly she also seems to be trying to do her best by the residents and treat them right! Her efforts are much appreciated, too. Despite the positive notes above I still do not recommend this facility.
