The Life Care Center is a well maintained beautiful facility. The staff are universally friendly and helpful. They were friendly to me when my sister, a patient there, introduced me to them. It wasn’t just a perfunctory hello. They engaged in conversation. I do have questions: Do the patients have access to computers? Do they have the capability of teaching residents the basics? My sister shares a room. The tv of her roommate had the tv on high volume. Can’t each patient get a pair of Bluetooth headphones? Can they give patients access to video telephone calls?

I have found LCCA to be very considerate and caring for my husband. He was first on the second floor and Fatima was always checking on him. He is now on the 1st floor and all the caregivers there have been great. I would recommend this facility for your loved one.

I was admitted at around 5 pm. The nurse woke me at 11:30 pm to do the intake physical examination. The Center offered half an hour of PT and half an hour of OT a day. All of the therapists were excellent however that left 23 hours with no activity no rehabilitation activities. I was not informed about routines or expectations. The activities person did not meet with me until the Wednesday and my choices were Church on Sunday Bible study one day a week and bingo evert day. My discharge was rudimentary to say the least. The Nurse practitioner never met with me even thought I had medical issues the Dr met with me on the Wednesday evening when I was ready fro discharge. The experience was one I hope never to repeat.

Although Life Care Center of Aurora looks ok from the lobby, it becomes obvious that the rest of the center is lacking. From the weird smell, the stripped down depressing bedrooms and the lack of a qualified nursing staff, this center is terrible. My mom was checked in on a Saturday afternoon and didn't see a nurse until late Sunday or a doctor until Wednesday. Nobody came to orient her to the center or let her know how the center worked. The PT Charlotte was fantastic but mom only saw her and OT, 30 mins/day and was left by herself the rest of the time. Very disappointing.

Staff was busy talking to patients, all staff was helpful and pleasant. The person I was visiting was totally immobile” she could only move her head a bit, , could speak but it took effort. CNA was in room when I arrived. She was putting more gauze on patient’s leg. Was efficient and sweet. I would have liked someone to check on my friend more often, she was unable to use the call button as she had no use of her hands, arms or legs. Her voice was very weak so would be difficult to summon help if she needed water or just to be repositioned in her wheelchair.

My mother, who is 97 was placed at Life Care Ctr a couple of weeks ago and her care has been marvelous up until she contacted RSV and is again in isolation, however the staff and her care has not decreased in the slightest for which I am very grateful. She is usually lonesome and likes to have visitors and loves to talk about any number of things. She loves sewing crocheting and unfortunately has not been able to do those sorts of things for a long time. The staff has helped her once again remember how she loves those things. I’m very happy that she is cared for and appreciate the help. Thank you all.

My 97-year-old aunt has been at LifeCare Center of Aurora for nearly 2 years. The staff continues to do a superb job taking care of her. I feel that they know her very well and understand her particular needs. They attempt to keep her engaged and involved through the activity programs. The nurses are extremely conscientious, the CNA’s are hard-working and all of the support personnel make a big difference in her life.

We just moved my husband into a Life Care center of Aurora and they were great in responding to us and attempting to make my husband comfortable. All the staff have been great, especially head nurse the majority of the time we were there, Esther! But we have nothing but compliments on how my husband was treated, how he grew through through pt/ot and not only was his food good as well. Everything has been awesome

I would like to say that our Executive Director Jennifer Lee is doing and continues to do a great job. She explains everything about the job she’s very intelligent very down to earth always there to answer your questions that you have. Another person that needs congratulations is the DON director of nursing Dawit. He makes continuous stops checking on residents to see how they are doing he is kind considerate easy to talk to as well. Our scheduler Stephanie deserves a very big round of applause for everything she does as well as what she is constantly busy setting up appointments for everyone here residents mainly. Well...My sister and I had the unenviable task of having to seek help going forward with our dad as we are unable to care for him or allow him to be on his own. Life Care Center of Aurora was reccomended, and because of its proximity to my sisters house, we decided this was the best option for us. Since his arrival, the staff has been very helpful and also patient with us (dad). Dad had trouble adjusting to a new room but after listening to our concerns, we were able to have him moved. I cannot be more appreciative for the help and response we received. Also kudos to the staff for arranging a nice Christmas dinner complete with a choir!. Also, Karina couldn't be more appreciated!

On the most part we are happy with the help my husband has been receiving. However I have witnessed his roommate being ignored when he needed to be dresses so he can get to his PT. Today my husband was refusing to ring the nurse when he needs to use the bathroom because no one bothers to show up. Then he needs his clothes changed because of the mess. I ended up helping him in the bathroom while waiting for someone to show up after he did ring for them.

amazing place. I am surprisingly impressed with the facility (which is a renovated Marriott hotel) and quality of healthcare they provide to their patients. also thankful for how accepting this place is, compared to so many others that are difficult to get into and have limited access. this place has been a life-saver for my mom and I couldn't be more relieved and at ease knowing she's in their care. she loves it there too. 5 stars from me
