I lived at Canterbury Gardens for two years and it was the worst two years of my life. The food is awful, bed bugs, cockroaches, and crazy people who should not be there. If you complain, they call the police. Now they have changed the name to Frontier Valley but lipstick on a pig is still a pig.

I wouldn't recommend, many issues with infestation of cockroaches in both kitchens and dinning rooms for the assisted living side and the independent living side. Cockroaches have been seen by staff (they will not say anything) on the prep tables where food is sitting, in the baseboards of the areas etc. In 2014 the state was called in due to this health issue.

Unfortunately the management sucks!!!! They are all about making money. The building is not in the best shape,, rooms need upgrading and maintenance needs to do more to create a more pleasurable environment. HOWEVER, the staff is amazing!!! They truly care about the residents. They are compationate, caring, helpful, and really love what they do. Nutrition is deplorable but that can be easily remedied with supplements. Overall my mom loves it there and I would recommend it.

I have found this place to be very decent. Caring kind staff, good food, clean (I have not encountered bed bugs nor fire hazards and I trained as an EMT and firefighter) love this place. Residents friendly as well.

I had recently had a tour of this community for my loved one and I was pleased with how things went. It ended up not being the right fit for my mother due to the fact that they do not except long term medicaid after her funds run out. They had a nice open floor plan and everything was very clean. The staff where also very kind and knowledgeable in everything they had to offer.

Visited the site and spoke with a couple of residents that were quite happy and positive. They were very helpful. However, upon visiting the site mom didnt like the thought of moving in there.

We liked this facility and it is a good financial choice. The staff and residents were very friendly but it did not seem to be an appropriate placement for our needs.

The Canterbury Gardens has been providing satisfying services for my father. The housekeeping is doing a good job maintaining his room and the whole community clean. One of the most important things is that he is safe. There is one service that could be better, and that would be the meals. The meals need more taste and the portions need to be a little bigger.
