The staff is always finding ways to make my mother enjoy her stay. Her favorite activity is Bingo and not a day goes by that she does not enjoy this community event. Knowing she is safe and is being cared for by people who care mean the world to my family.

My father and mother lived at the Bridge for 7 1, 2 years. The Bridge truly became their home. The staff at the Bridge loved my parents and were truly like family. My parents lives were full because they were able to eat with their friends in the dining room and participated in the scheduled activities. Mom loved going to the Beauty Shop to get her hair and nails done. All of my parents medications were skillfully taken care of. When I was unable to take them to a doctor appointment, the Bridge would get them to their appointments. When my parents lives were coming to an end, the Bridge staff along with Rain Home Health Care accommodated their every need going above and beyond to care for them. It was such a blessing for my parents to be able to pass away at their home the Bridge. My family and I will forever be grateful for the kindness, concern, and love that they provided my parents. I highly recommend the Bridge to all Seniors!

in October of 2020. I will always be grateful for the care they received at the Bridge. They loved living there and calling The Bridge home. During their time at The Bridge they enjoyed everthing that was offered from the activities to being able to eat in the dining room with the other residents on their floor. The Staff was always wonderful and treated them like family. When we would visit from Utah I would always make the remark that they were truly living in what was a 5* hotel. Everything was always clean and looked so wonderful. We loved being able to swim at the pool when we visited and have my parents watch my kids and grandkids do this. It brought them so much joy. At the end of my Moms life I was able to face time her almost everyday which I am forever grateful. I am so glad both parents were able to peacefully pass away at their home, The Bridge. Thank you for taking great care of both of my parents.

My mom was a resident at the Bridge during the last months of her life. The care she received was excellent! The staff accommodated her every need often going above and beyond to care for her. They were very polite, respectful, professional, flexible, resilient and exhibited high levels of patience during adverse times. The level of quality care and concern they provided was beyond my expectations and certainly better than I could have personally maintained. They not only cared for her but they became her friends. Many times, after seeing to her needs they would stay, visit and engage in numerous conversations which made her feel good. Mom often referred to them as her second family. When I would come to visit mom, I often entered the room to find her and staff members involved in conversation and laughter. I was confident she was in good hands during the times I could not be there. The night she became very ill and her passing was imminent I was 300 miles away when they called me. Upon arriving I learned that a number of staff members stayed with and comforted her for hours after their shift had ended and did so of their own volition. I will forever be grateful for their kindness, true concern and care they provided mom. I would definitely, highly recommend The Bridge to provide quality care for seniors.

This review is given by someone who has been here since The Bridge at Alamosa first opened. It is a view from the inside looking out.We are family. Residents and staff truly care about one another. God has blessed me to share my life with the people who live here. There is no greater honor than to be given the opportunity to make a difference in the lives of our residents.

My Mom was only at The Bridge at Alamosa for a short time. The Staff was wonderful to us. My Mom was mad that we moved her from her home in Tucson. But, once she got settled in her new apartment she really enjoyed it. Thank you to all Staff Members for your kindness and help. Beautiful place for your loved ones. My Mom will be missed by us all.

I am a former employee with the Bridge at Alamosa and from the residents to the staff members I have nothing but the best to say. Working at the Bridge has shaped my career in healthcare more than I can put into words and has left a lasting impression. I loved that we were anything institutional healthcare. We got to dress Semi-Professionally, we NEVER talked down to a resident; we showed them RESPECT and treated them with dignity and got down on their level. We were ENCOURAGED in interact and dine with our residents and we became one anothers family. During my employment I was a college student and I wasnt from the San Luis Valley. I had to work Thanksgiving and my RESIDENTS invited me to THIER thanksgiving lunch because they saw me as an extension of their family. The Bridge set the bar so high in Assisted Living when I moved and started working for another company I was disappointed that not all facilities were run in this fashion. They take time hiring QUALITY employees who are in the healthcare field for the right reasons. Working for a facility that employs people who dont have the residents best interest at heart you can see it in the residents eyes and feel it the moment you walk into the facility. And the food served was superb! Valerie would do Cooking Lessons with the residents in the home kitchens. If there was any kind of dietary restrictions she could accommodate and make AMAZING entrée for our residents. Including a BLENDED SOFT FOOD DIET! That is talent right there!!! If I hadnt had to move for educational purposes I would have NEVER left employment at the Bridge at Alamosa. It is rare to find a job that you enjoy, rarer to have a supervisor and co-workers that want help you to better your self. And most of all a family environment that enriches the quality of life for everyone involved.

My Mom is at the Bridge and we couldnt be more pleased. They have taken excellent care of her, very patient and caring. There are so many activities for the residents, movies, outings, ice cream socials, bingo, family nights, exercise classes for all levels. Even an indoor pool. The staff treats her with respect, patience, and kindness. Id give them more than 5 stars if I could.

If you live in the San Luis Valley you may view this facility as a blessing because there is no other facility within a hundred miles (in Colorado, anyway) that can compare with regard to comfort and cleanliness. The fact that there is no competition, however, is probably what accounts for the real shortcomings of this place. So think carefully if this is the best place for you, or for a family member. It is certainly the most expensive facility in the area—but its prices compare favorably with similar facilities in metropolitan areas (which Alamosa is most definitely not). The core expense is high, and the various add-ons, which are not always professionally administered, are also high. My mother lives here. I have two beefs, one small and particular, one large and general. The small one first. The diet is inexcusably substandard. The amount of sugar and highly processed foods that are shoveled down the throats of seniors here is appalling. The place must buy Cool Whip by the ton, judging by the number of revolting desserts it appears in. No one, and certainly not elderly people, should consume the amount of sugar and processed fats and carbs that are dished out in this place. You only have to observe the obesity of the people who cook and serve to see that there is a problem. My larger complaint is about overall management. In less than two years I have seen phenomenal staff turnover. Many excellent people have left, many less competent have stayed. It is so important for seniors to have some continuity in their care and they dont get it here, because the place is a revolving door for staff. I expect that the owners (who must surely make a vulgar profit from the place) pay very little for the hands-on care jobs, since these are usually done by young women who dont stick around long. Alamosa is a poor town to begin with, and it has an inferior labor force. Anyone with anything on the ball will get out of Dodge. This leaves only the dregs to pick the sorts of jobs that are available here. If the Bridge wanted to be a first-rate facility (and it could be one), it needs to invest in its own people: train them better, pay them better, and give them a reason to take pride in their jobs and keep working there.

My Mother lived at The Bridge at Alamosa for 2 years. She had advanced Alzheimers Disease and was confined to a wheel chair. The Bridge staff did a GREAT JOB with her!! As an AD patient my Mother needed a high level of care. The wonderful Bridge staff did a superb job of caring for my Mother providing quality care with gentleness, patience, kindness and compassion. We moved my Mother here from an Assisted Living Facility in Virginia - What a great move! Mom got better care, had more room in her apartment and the rate was lower!! I highly recommend The Bridge to families looking for a caring and lovely home for their family member.

interest in her well-being. The facility was very clean and the decor was exceptional. My Mother got great pleasure in The Bridges personalized services provided, that included exercise classes, music classes, and the beauty shop. My wife and I visited from Virginia many times and enjoyed staying at the Bridge. We were able to participate in many of the wonderful activities they provided, such as watching movies, family social night, and exercise class. The beautiful spa and pool are quite impressive as well. We enjoyed going to the dining room with my mother. The meals were well-balanced and tasty. The staff was excellent. I was grateful that my mother lived at the Bridge and I highly recommend it to anyone looking for independent or assisted living. Donn Descoteau

The facility is absolutely beautiful and very fitting for the setting. It is more like a upscale high mountain lodge. The staff is efficient and professional and treats the residents like family. I will always be grateful to them for all that they have done for my father and my family. I would never hesitate to recommend The Bridge!
