My grandmother lives in the memory care unit, and I cannot say enough wonderful things about the care she receives. It gives our family so much peace of mind knowing she is surrounded by people who truly care about her well-being and treat her with kindness, dignity, and compassion every day. I especially want to recognize Sonya. She is absolutely amazing and goes above and beyond for my grandmother. She is patient, caring, attentive, and always makes sure my grandma is comfortable and well cared for. You can tell this is more than just a job to her”she genuinely loves what she does, and it shows in the way she treats the residents. The entire memory care staff has been wonderful, but Sonya deserves special recognition for the exceptional care she provides. Our family is incredibly grateful for everything she does. Thank you for treating my grandmother like family. I highly recommend this memory care community to anyone looking for a safe, loving, and compassionate place for their loved one.

I moved my dad in and was very nervous at first. Not having experienced this before. But upon moving in and meeting the staff more and more every day, I felt very relaxed, comfortable, and assured that everything was taken care of. Every single staff member I had a positive experience with. No negative attitude, no walking away, everyone very well experienced friendly, and willing to help no matter what asked of them. I want to personally thank Michelle The supervising nurse as her staff went above and beyond the Call of Duty. They took care of my dad and I was comfortable and reassured. They notified me of anything that changed. They treated my dad as if he was their family member. I recommend this place to anyone that has a doubt in their mind. The place is clean, safe, secure. The building is very Well kept and the food that is served there is better than restaurant quality. If you have any doubts, feel free to visit and they will reassure you and take care of any questions you have. I thank God that I chose this place For my dad. There is many other options, but this is by far the best.

I moved my 87-year-old mother into Wildwood Canyon Villas a year ago and am very pleased with the quality of her care. All the employees- from the administrative support, through to the talented cooks, caregivers and medical staff consistently provide professional, friendly and empathetic care. The nurses remain in close contact with her doctor to ensure that changes in my mom’s condition are communicated clearly and in a timely fashion so that her doctor can adjust her medications accordingly. She pays a flat rate, with no additional fees for bus rides to medical appointments. The facility is always clean, with plenty of light and the chickens and rabbits in the courtyard provide a lively outing. We gather for a family dinner regularly in a private area off the main dining room and we attest to the delicious food!

I highly recommend Wildwood Canyon Villa Assisted Living and Memory Care. While my loved one resided in memory care, I walked the entire property multiple times and spoke with assisted living residents on a number of occasions. I was impressed with the cleanliness and upkeep of the common interior areas and landscaped exterior. The residents I conversed with seemed happy and made sure I knew all about their pet chickens that live in their exterior courtyard. I watched them engage in all kinds of activities and enjoy their meals in the main restaurant. The memory care unit was safe and secure and felt like an extension of the assisted living areas. My father was experiencing late stage Lewy Body dementia when I relocated him from my home to Wildwood Canyon. I selected his room, was encouraged to decorate his space with his own items from home and the staff were exceptional at helping dad make the adjustment. Dad seemed very pleased with his new place as he felt a sense of ownership. The team provided dad with his meals and general care. There was always a sense of flexibility as menu items and shower times could be adjusted per his request. Prescriptions were transferred from Loma Linda to Wildwood Canyon’s partnered pharmacy and dad’s medications were administered on site. I appreciated being able to view his medication administration records without hesitation. Communication between the staff and myself was excellent. They kept me updated anytime there was a concern and called and/or sent text messages when there were emergencies requiring trips to the ER. When the time came for hospice, the transition was as seemless as possible. Both Wildwood Canyon’s staff as well as their partnered hospice organization Prestigious, were communicative and compassionate. My dad succumbed to his illness after six weeks and during that time I felt he was in good hands with a team of professionals that allowed him to live his remaining days with dignity. I am grateful for the level of support I received as dad’s caregiver for the past five years and his only remaining relative. I never received a strange look or negative comment in describing to this staff the mix of emotions of love, frustration, worry and exhaustion I felt prior to relocating dad to Wildwood Canyon. They genuinely care about their residents and the families. While my heart breaks at losing my dad, the team at Wildwood Canyon gave us six weeks to be father and daughter instead of Lewy Body patient and his caregiver.

After seven years of being a Memory Care resident at Wildwood, our Mother recently passed away and I wanted to share an overview of our experiences. Starting with the end, we were all very touched with how they all reacted with the passing of our Mother. They couldn’t have been any more caring or emotional which was a testament to how much they loved our Mother. Looking back over the years we might not have noticed then, but it’s evident how much they care for the residents. Over the years our Mother truly enjoyed all the activities, snack cart and most of all singing with Ken! This might not sound significant to some, but we were able to take away several memories through the arts & crafts that Wildwood provided. We always felt like they always went above and beyond to make sure our Mother was taken care of. While the cost of a memory care facility can be substantial, we feel our Mother received great value. We highly recommend Wildwood!

I have been to Wildwood for a couple of business events. Both events were amongst the community (yes, this was BC - before covid). However, I’ve always said if I needed a place near Yucaipa, THIS is where I’d check into first. The place was spotless, the workers were friendly, and the feel of the place was good. :)) Also, as far as the Community Relations Director, Angelina Chasman, she truly cares about all of her seniors and cares about their quality of life. She’s an asset to the organization. I’ve been to a number of assisted living and memory care places (unfortunately) and Wildwood stands out as one of the best out there I have seen.

I can’t say enough good things about the facility and staff at wildwood canyon villa in Yucaipa. We transitioned our dad there a few months ago, and they have worked so hard with us to make it as smooth as possible. They entire staff is attentive and helpful and have always worked with us to address any concerns we have along the way. It never smells bad, the food always looks good and they do whatever they can with extra details to make our dad feel at home and cared for. They are communicative with us as family, making us still feel like an important part of his care team. We are so grateful to have this place so close to our home and are able to relax knowing he is in good hands.

Both my parents now live here-. One is in memory care because of Alzheimer’s and the other is in assisted living. I can now sleep because I know they are both safe and getting their medication they need. They also have been more social and having fun. I have not seen my dad really smile in months, and I have seen him smile so much more since he has moved in. Even though the timing is tough because of Covid- we are able to do window and FaceTime visits, so we are able to stay connected. The staff is amazing, kind and loving. I am so grateful for this place!

Admitting you or your parents need more help than can be provided at home is hard. Finding the right assisted living is even harder. My mom needed full memory care, and my dad just needed assistance with everyday tasks. After 70 years of marriage, my dad wanted to continue living with his beloved wife. A Place for Mom helped us find Wildwood Canyon Villas”where they could still live together and have both their needs met. They moved in about 6 weeks before the COVID-19 lockdown. As they settled in, my dad commented, This is just like living on a cruise ship. He enjoyed the meals, the staff, the activities, and the other residents. He was especially happy because the staff was taking such good care of my mom. No one could have ever predicted that a pandemic would strike and all our lives would change. At times, the lockdown was frustrating, but all the WCV staff”from the administrator and caregivers, to the cooks, activity directors, and maintenance”all put their hearts and 100% efforts into making life as enjoyable and stress free as possible for all residents. They have worked diligently behind the scenes and throughout the facility to keep it clean, safe, and healthy. During the past months, the staff also kept the residents’ families informed through weekly email newsletters, extra emails as needed, and social media of all the daily activities and their approach to keeping residents and staff healthy. Individual phone calls were made too. If you are looking for a home”a community”for yourself or a loved one, I highly encourage you to visit WCV to see how they can provide the loving care, family atmosphere, and enjoyable lifestyle you seek. (Note: when the pandemic hit and the lockdown started, I felt as though I had moved my parents in and then abandoned them. But, that couldn’t have been farther from reality. I love Wildwood and all the staff. They are always on top of the residents wants and needs. I love their Friday lunch bunch and all the fun activities. I'm a personal caregiver for a resident at Wildwood. When I first started caring for her, she was a shut in. Now she is 95 and a has been at WWCV for almost 2 years and she joins in on most activities. The activity directors are always asking the residents for their input on activities that they enjoy. The memory care there is fantastic and they keep the memory care residents just as busy. I would 100% recommend Wildwood. Call and and ask for a tour and see for yourself.

My family and I needed assistance with my grandmother, and we were made aware of this facility by a family friend who gave it high reviews. The administration staff and all the caregivers were very welcoming and extremely caring towards my grandmother and also any needs my family had. The facility is very warm and inviting and was always super clean and up kept. The manager of the property is an extremely kind individual, and was always making sure everything was kept in order and everyone was promptly taken care of. I Would highly recommend to any family in need of elder care!
