I am sharing our experience related to the billing/accounting. We had an issue where my mother no longer needed the room we reserved with a deposit. Sept 5th we requested a refund and was told it would arrive in 2-weeks. We are well into 4-weeks and we continue to get the run around. Finally today the check had arrived at their facility however, the check was not made out to the person who provide the deposit. [name removed] says, well just get the person to sign the check over!! Absurd! her narrow mindedness, did not considering the effort and traveling this would take. After we insisted for the check to be reissued, she tells us it "may" be another day or two. Why would a check be issue to someone other than who provided the thousands of dollars???

I had the opportunity to tour the facility in Whittier and was blown away by the quality and attention to detail of this property. It's craftsmanship beautifully done. I also liked the activities they had planned for the day. But a highlight for me was the wonderful singer performing old standards, with a bunch of residents in attendance and obviously having a great time. If you are considering this community for yourself or a loved one, I don't think you can go wrong here.

One of the best places to work and have a loved one stay. Beutiful facility. Worked here for two years as dishwasher and cook and did a few catering gigs also for staff.

Clean helpful and professional. Good for people needing assistance and support in the area. The company seems to have high turnover and thus lots of training for new staff. Lots of different decisions being made so a closer watch of the care of a loved one may be necessary. Our grandmother has been a client-tenant here for years and weve seen this in person. Recommend but use caution to make sure its a good fit for you and your loved ones.

New and beautiful facility. Seen from street and ample parking. If full park next door by yogurt and Fed Ex just NOT in for customers only designated parking spots. Across from mall and restaurants. Staff very friendly and very respectful to residents and guests. One public restroom in main lobby and another by kitchen. Alziemers sections is locked and has its own kitchen and public restroom for guests. waiting list for potential residents is long but worth it.

This seemed like a nice clean community when I visited. The people I met were nice. This community allows pets and they offer daily activities. This community was just a little out of our budget.

This is a beautiful community, I really enjoyed my tour of this facility. I would've moved my mother into this community, but they didn't have any room at this time. The staff was nice and very informative. It was a pleasant tour. Everything went very well.

We were looking for an assisted living environment for our 55 year old Downs Syndrome (high functioning) sister. After their interview and assessment, they allowed her to move in for a 30 day evaluation period. Our sister passed the 30 day period with flying colors and she happily became a resident of the Oakmont. It is a beautiful environment with a very caring staff, plus a wonderful dining room and state of the art movie theater. Their executive director and marketing director became personally involved overseeing our sister's care! We can't say enough nice things about the Oakmont of Whittier and their five-star staff!
