My brother was admitted due to complications from his diabetes. They are very attentive to his needs. We are able to contact the nursing staff with any questions. The physical therapy is top notch. My brother loves it there!

Very professional I am spoiled. They answer the bell. They get my medications on time. I learned to have a lighter dinner so I feel better. There are lots of young people here which is a good starting point for them. I feel that the workers are proficient and professional

DO NOT BELIEVE THE BROCHURE!!! They show nice open comfortable rooms, when, in fact, every room has three patients crammed in. Their beds do not have safety rails. The food served was terrible, bland, and odd. They also could not seem to understand my wife's diabetic nutritional needs. Lots of starches for every meal. There are alot of good, caring people working there, but especially at night and weekends, they seem to be understaffed. Physical therapy, which is what my wife was there for, was excellent!!! The place is an example of the state of current elder care. They do have lots of activities every day for the patients. Kaiser has an office there which does oversee your treatment if you are a Kaiser patient. Your Kaiser doctor or nurse may stop by once a week.

My dad suffered from a stroke and had therapy at Sunnyside Nursing Center. My dad/our family had no complaints. The Nurses, nurses assistants,therapy, Dree, the social worker and staff as a whole were all AMAZING! During our visit we were able to be a witness to the effort that was put into caring for my dad, the protection for the residents against covd19 so each guest was tested prior to visiting, the staff we interacted with was very polite, helpful and professional. My Godmother was at the home and did not meet our standards. The staff was nice but the facility was not as upgraded and cleaned as we would have liked.

How do you explain learning to re-stand & re-walk after being off your feet for several months? When your immediate life threatening challenges have been addressed, you're advised to utilize rehabilitation. Thankfully I have a wonderful supportive family who insisted on Sunnyside Post Acute Nursing Facility in Torrance, CA. I was not receptive to any facility, however my sister was insistent. I'm so happy, now, that she was!!! Not only was I NPO & lethargic when I initially arrived, I was so depressed at the different surroundings. But the doctors & nursing staff were so caring, friendly & patient with me, I couldn't be depressed for long.

My stay as been absolutely excellent everyone here was very attentive kind and supportive of my needs, I would recommend this facility for your family member who may be in need. A special thanks to my social worker (Dree Williams) my CNA ,(Preciosa Abada) And my charge nurse Jeffery, absolutely top of the line professionals.

Was released/discharged September 2022. Food was better than I expected. Nurses & Dr.Mona Sultan were kind and were able to provide the medicines I needed That weren't on my chart, and worked w/ my insurance to allow my discharge as soon as I could improve in physical therapy without severe pain.

This review is for Dree and her social services team at Sunnyside Nursing. Dree did a great job urgently looking at different options for my father when he was being discharged after we received a NOMNC. Basically, we had 2 days before being discharged and were scrambling to understand his coverage and his options. In the jungle that is insurance benefits, Dree helped us track down and figure out what might work and what might not. Although not medically urgent, given his injury was non-weight bearing on both legs and his advanced age, we opted to keep him at Sunnyside longer on our own dime because of the good care he received. I can think of no higher praise than that. Thanks for all your help, Dree!

Sunnyside is a great facility to have your love one. My grandmother is a resident there and she is well taken care of. The nurse's are caring and compassion. My family is alway Grateful for the excellent care that my grandmother has been receiving at Sunnyside It takes compassion, discipline and a village and the Administrator and his team has delivered all three consistently for the last 2 years my grandmother has been there.Thank you Sunnyside!

Too much noise. Sometimes shutting doors hard. Beeping in hallway every ten seconds night and day to summons help. Waxing of hallway preventing nurse from coming. Could happen in emergency. Physical therapy room door to outside has two large holes to allow mice and venemous spiders to enter.

The hospital is very clean, the nursing and CNA are very nice. The only problem I had was the call light, the night shift take forever to answer them. I was in the bathroom and I had to wait for a while. The food is nasty and there is a lot more I can said.

Speaking for myself, my personal experience at this facility has been excellent during month long stay recovering from a major foot infection. From the top...Administrator Max...to my primary care physician Dr. Young...to the great nursing staff...to social services...therapist staff...maintenance crew..I have been greatly surprised at how well things are run here. Yes... there are negative reviews from other patients and their families, but my experience here has been the opposite. My observations are that this facility is kept clean and great care is taken to keep it that way...particularly because of concerns related to COVID and other threats to patients and staff. I give this facility 5 stars!

I had a job interview at 1030 am with assistant administrator Chris and Max, the administrator. They were both kind pleasant and caring. I can tell they truly care about custumer service and patient care. Upon entering into the facility, I noticed cleanliness of the patient care areas and no "odd" smell. I would never hesitate to put my family member in this facility. Either I get a job or not, I would give this facility a solid perfect score of 5!
