Sunrise of Palos Verdes senior living is a top notch facility. The grounds are impeccable and well maintained and the staff is extremely knowledgeable and nice. I would highly recommend this facility if you are a considering a loved one.

I can’t say enough about the incredible staff and wonderful experience we’ve had so far at Sunrise Palos Verdes! A year ago our precious aunt could no longer safely live at her home she had lived in for 50+ years. We went on the search with her, found ourselves at Sunrise PV and she said “if I can’t live in my home - I could live here”- soon after she went into the hospital. Upon discharge, the process worked like a well oiled machine, were able to select and decorate her private room in memory care to be ready when she arrived. The staff welcomed her with open arms! They keep a productive schedule, have fun activities, the arts and entertainment, exercise classes and nutritional meals served with care in the open airy dining room. Her first night she immediately bonded with the care team and to this day they still reminisce with her about the first night”- with lots of giggles and even fresh baked cookies from “the cookie lady”. Sunrise has been wonderful helping drive her safely to appts, keeping the family involved with every appt if we cannot attend ourselves. Our Aunt has her own challenges and personal wants/needs, not always easy but the staff has met the mark every time!!! She loves it there!! Every care team member we have met in the community has been respectful, kind and patient. From the receptionist to the management team, the care team, the nurses, housekeeping, acct services, maintenance, med techs, chefs, drivers and more… go above and beyond to make residents feel like family. They are professional, keep safety a priority, and make everyone feel comfortable. (Debra, Memory Care Floor Manager- and the entire staff is amazing!!) The best review I can give is that we trust Sunrise with the matriarch of our family. We have built a great relationship and I am beyond grateful! Marni

We had been doing some research for an elderly relative with advanced Alzheimer’s and came across Sunrise Palos Verdes. We went to visit the facility and really were impressed by not only the physical facility but also the people and the service - they had one floor dedicated to individuals who require memory care. This fit perfectly and it has been four months and it has been nothing but fantastic. The entire staff care for the residents. We stop by randomly and often and every time we visit, they are happy to see us. Our family member is well looked after and the food and planned activities are exactly what makes this place special. Thank you Sunrise for taking such great care of our loved one. It was the right choice for us as a family.

I just moved my husband from another Senior Living to Terrace Club at Sunrise. The staff couldn't be better. Staff show that they care, with listening, follow through, smiles and engaging with the clients. I have been very pleased with Sunrise at Palos Verdes

My mother has been a resident for 3 years! The team cares so deeply for her and by extension our family. She is in assisted living. They help her with her daily activities without making her feel dependent. During Covid, they have worked so hard to keep the residents safe. Yes, it has been hard for our family not to be able to interact with Mom like we did. But, the residents have been safe! It gives me such peace of mind. During this difficult time they worked to keep the residents interacting through games that could be done distanced. I highly recommend this Sunrise. They care deeply and that warms my heart.

My mother has been at Sunrise for two years. I live only 15 minutes from her and spent much time there. The care she has received is highly professional and very personal and caring. This is consistent with the experience I had when my father was in Sunrise of Bonita in San Diego. The facilities are wonderful. I would recommend Sunrise in general, and the one at Palos Verdes in particular. I know my mother receives the best of care no matter what the circumstances.

After visiting several senior living facilities we decided on Sunrise of Palos Verdes where we were greeted by a friendly and knowledgeable staff. The facility is beautiful, immaculately maintained and spacious. There is a beautifully appointed dining room that offers a varied selection of meals and all day snacks. The outdoor garden is perfect for sitting, reading and visiting. The resident suites are spacious, cleaned regularly; with in room dining if requested. Residents are encouraged to be as independent as possible with care given to each individuals needs. Staff is quick to update us on our mothers activities and well-being, and always available to discuss any concerns we may have. We have peace of mind knowing our mother is cared for by a caring professional staff and that she is happy with her choice.

I have been extremely pleased with the staff at Sunrise Palos Verdes since we moved our Mom there in January 2020. They are friendly, attentive, courteous, and keeping residents and their family very well informed. The facility is well maintained and secure as well they take the well being and safety of the residents seriously. The management and staff took all appropriate precautions to ensure the safety and comfort of the residents as well as keeping them connected to their family and friends. Their attention to details is very much appreciated. I would like to express my thanks specifically to Debra Bein, the Terrace Club Coordinator and her staff for their efforts to make me rest assured that our Mom is well looked after, healthy, safe and not alone. I highly recommend this facility.

I have been a resident at Sunrise at Palos Verdes (SPV) for nearly three years in the Assisted Living community. I have enjoyed my stay here. I have found the staff to be patient, caring, and helpful. They have even accommodated me in my personal preferences at meal times. The food has been very good in both variety and taste. Previously, I had enjoyed the group trips outside the facility, and especially the joyful holiday celebrations. Now with COVID restrictions, the staff has taken on extra duties to keep the residents safe, and to keep them engaged with distanced activities. I feel safe at SPV. Overall, I am pleased staying here at SPV, and would recommend this facility to others.

Asking my brother to move from KS to CA, giving up his home and his friends was not an easy request to make. I knew his dementia demanded a high-quality memory care facility. After comparing many facility options, it was crystal clear that Sunrise was the very best choice. He receives the best possible medical care while emphasizing mental and emotional needs. They provide many activities that encourage communication and development of friendships with other residents. Because they are dedicated to dementia only, their understanding, experience and patience helps me make some sense of the ever-changing world of dementia. Little did I know that COVID would make life even more complicated. Sunrise has done an outstanding job providing my brother the safest place to live under the most challenging circumstances. Sunrise has done everything possible to help me maintain my close relationship with my brother despite quarantine orders. Allen is the healthiest he has been in years because of the close supervision of the experienced, kind and dedicated nursing staff. All of the Sunrise staff has become part of our family. I highly recommend Sunrise of PV, Torrance, CA.

Putting our father in assisted living was a huge decision and were so glad hes at Sunrise. Its like a family there and the caregivers are truly caring. From the food to the accommodations to the activities to the smiles on everyones faces, we have zero complaints and better yet, neither does he. Theyve been totally on the ball when it came to COVID policies and protections and thankfully have not had any residents with the virus. As his needs have increased, theyve been able to accommodate him and thats given us great peace of mind. Highly recommended.

Staff was kind and caring to the residents, sometimes putting residents needs above visitors requests. I felt a real sense of community among the residents. My mother felt it was like her old college dorm. Their one month respite program was a godsend. But it was expensive, and its location is not conducive to taking a stroll in the neighborhood. That intersection is deadly. PV drivers often act as if sirens and traffic signals are beneath their dignity. My mother did move away from Sunrise just to be closer to my residence near San Jose. She misses the Sunrise staff
