Reviews Ivy Park at Studio City
March 2026
I have only toured the facility (with Renee... highly recommended) and found it superlative. Great amenities and residents. Very welcoming and convivial atmosphere. I went to view it for my parents, but heck, I'd move in! The activities alone are worth moving in for!
August 2025
Mom’s lived on the Evergreen floor at Ivy for about a year now. Her care has been good, but through recent changes to caregiving staff and the creation of a manager dedicated to resident experience, her care and satisfaction has improved. The one thing that would make an even greater impact would be adding a fourth caregiver to the very hectic PM shift. But that being said, I really appreciate the warmth and attentiveness from the staff of Evergreen - especially from the OGs, Thomas, Kim, Ivon, and Rosario and the newer caregivers like Joy and Alina (who left but I hope will be back). This review by no means excludes those working the other shifts. I’ve just had the most interaction with the people mentioned.

Wonderful place with Ta'Lani being exceptional. The staff is friendly and the location is perfect, very central to everything.

My Father has been a resident for over a year now. Your Caretakers have always been attentive, caring and supportive. At first when he came, he needed quite a bit of care and help. After a few months I was able to ask for him to be re-rated since he was now eating on his own, able to transfer and using his walker. His care cost came down a little which has been a huge help. The experienced staff is a huge reason why he is comfortable at Ivy Park.
August 2024
When it became an Ivy Park the care level dropped dramatically. Perpetually understaffed, a basic feeling of not caring that came from the top. It was so sad to see the staff try to give the same level of care to the residents but not able to because there were too few of them. Do not bring your loved one to this place.
May 2024
My dad lived at Ivy Park Studio City for a little over 5 weeks and has since passed away. He was located on their memory care floor. Overall, our experience was very positive. The caretakers directly involved in my dad’s care were all very kind, capable, responsive and responsible. My dad really liked the staff as well. The private rooms and common areas were clean and the food seemed great. The whole facility is secure and the grounds are very well maintained.

My Mom lived here for 10 months, April 2023 to February 2024. I believe every senior living center will have the best of reviews and the worst. It's just the nature of this business. Some of the workers are pure angels, doing the work they love. And many hate their job and hate the tenants. All senior living centers roll out the red carpet and treat you like gold, especially on move-in day. Then reality hits. I highly recommend you install a camera without telling anyone. Again, some workers are angels and others just militant evil control freaks. They remind me of those evil baby-sitters. You just have to catch them on camera. The food is horrible, just the worst. No matter how many times they tell they are making improvements, it is not good. Maybe 1 or 2 meals out of the month will be good. My mom was not without her faults and required compassion and patients, but some workers forget that this the motto of Ivy Park; "to be compassionate and patient". No matter how many times we brought this to the attention of the management, even with eye-witnesses (that just couldn't believe how they to spoke to mom), nothing changed. I think everyone of these types of business' is just like the next...so Best of luck!

My father had to move into Sunrise Assisted living last July. We have been very impressed with how helpful and considerate the staff has been when we have needed help. I have been especially grateful for the assistance Lindsey (sp?) has given me when I needed help recently from the Wellness Office. She has really gone out of her way to help me get my father the medical aid etc that he needed and she always called me back when she said she would. She has even gone out of her way to obtain assistance on her own volition and that was really amazing. I have also been grateful for the help by Gabby, Clifton, Sean and anyone else who's name I do not recall. Thank you for caring, in a job that is not easy to do. It means a lot.
April 2023
we could not have been happier with the care our mom received here. The staff are all incredible.
April 2023
Sunrise became home to my mom. The love and care she received created a safe haven where "everyone knew her name". Management, care givers, dining room workers, facility caretakers... everyone knew and treated her as family. Mom developed friendships that became an integral part of her everyday living and sharing meals, participating in like-minded outings and activities kept her active, busy and part of a truly lovely community. We are filled with gratitude!

If you need assisted living I give the highest praise to this place. The staff and caregiving professional are knowledgeable, kind and responsive. We lived here for two months after my husband had a stroke and needed assistance for his daily existence. I felt so confident about Sunrise Assisted Living that I moved my mom here. She is happy here, likes the food, the exercise classes and has made friends. Appreciation and applause. This work is not easy and they do it well here. Thank you!

A friendly caring environment. Not right for the relative I am researching on behalf of, but personally I would be very happy there.
December 2022
My mom lives in Sunrise on the memory floor. The staff really care about their residents. They go out of their way to engage them and show affection. My mom is really well cared for. The staff is communicative and responsive. We have no complaints! Thank you Sunrise.
December 2022
My mom lived at Sunrise for the past 14 years until her passing a couple weeks ago. I want to thank all the Sunrise team for taking such good care of her during her life there and especially during this past year when it became increasingly difficult to do so. The Wellness office has been outstanding! Aprille, Clifton, Erica, Jinky, Rosario and all others whose names I have missed have been exceptional in communication and staying on top of her care as her needs changed. The caregivers, under the guidance of Paloma, have been kind and patient while administering to my mom's daily necessities. This is not an easy job and in my opinion, there is a need for a greater ratio of caregivers to residents at all assisted living facilities. Given this, the caregivers at Sunrise were wonderful with my mom and she was given the attention she needed with compassion. They knew she liked to have her lipstick on and her hair combed every time she went to the dining room or to an activity! Also a big thanks to Chef Roy. My mom always had a good appetite and would take a long time to finish all her meals because she really enjoyed them! Lastly thanks to the executive director Sean for helping me through some tough times and also to Vic, for staying on top of maintenance there. And to Eva, who kept my mom looking her best at Our Beauty Parlour. Throughout these past 14 years, I have seen many people come and go, both residents and team members. Sunrise has been like another family for me and for my mom. Keep up the good work!
August 2022
I want to share the wonderful experience my mother and I while she lived at Sunrise Studio City. The staff from GM Shawn, Care manager Clifton and his staff, Jinky, Erica, April and the rest, and the did an excellent job taking care of my mothers medical needs. They followed up with outside care givers and provided additional support when needed. I rarely had to ask for care for my mother, they had already addressed it. When I did it was taken care of right away. The daily care team led by Paloma was wonderful. They made sure my mother was comfortable and all her needs were met. As my mother needed more support in areas I would have been very uncomfortable with I could see that the amazing Sunrise staff just took care of it without me having to ask. The dining was excellent thanks to Chef Roy and service lead Sonia. The concierge staff was always on hand to answer any questions or address any needs. I want to thank all of the staff of Sunrise Studio City for the compassion and care you provided my mother. Thank you.

Staff and management provide a warm, nurturing and safe place to call home at a challenging time in one’s life. So grateful for the care, respect and love they gifted my mom and the peace of mind they provided for me
July 2021
The caregivers are warm, caring, and efficient. I am very happy with the care that my husband is getting here. It was very difficult to place my husband who has Alzheimer's into a facility, but I was so relieved when I did and I continue to be grateful he is safe and well cared for. Update: Dan was in Sunrise for 3 1/2 years until his death. I appreciate Sunrise because: 1) They kept Dan safe. 2) They treated Dan with respect, kindness and dignity. 3) They paid attention to Dan's personality and his unique wants and needs. 4) They were always looking for ways to improve. 5) The food was good to excellent. 6) They had excellent activities that I was able to enjoy with Dan (before the Pandemic and his Alzheimer's worsened), such as concerts and holiday celebrations. I was very happy with Sunrise.
November 2020
I am responding to Jan Neurauter review written on 10/20/2020. Jan is upset with Sunrise due to them following Company, family guidelines, and HIPPA laws. Without getting too far in the weeds Jan comments are incorrect. Unfortntly, people sometimes have a hard time separating their emotional feelings from reality. For that reason I will not go into all the details of this poster as it serves no positive end. I am writing this review today to give high phrase to Sunrise of Studio City. My Dad has been a resident of Sunrise for 4 years. In writing this review I reflect back to when I was looking for assisted living for my Dad. I want to first say the emotional process is the last thing you want for your love ones. From the very beginning my dad has had a wonderful experience at Sunrise. Like everyone in this environment there are good days and bad days. Some days he is just not interested in help. They (Sunrise) really understand my dad and give him great overall care. They encourage him and try and do things at the speed he feels comfortable with. Because I am fortunate enough to live around the corner I am at Sunrise a lot. I am an active part of the Sunrise community and visit with my Dad on a regular basis. The staff knows me and knows that my number one priority is my Dads care and well being. While visiting I review his progress and at times his regressions. My father is content and feels safe at Sunrise. He feels well taken care of. I agree with my dads assessment. My father in general was not a very trusting person by nature and has learned that he does need assistance in his daily life at age 89 and has learned to accept help when needed. This is 180 degrees from when my dad first started at Sunrise. In closing not only would I recommend Sunrise of Studio City I have at times mentioned with the staff to save me a room. Getting old and having dementia is not the fairy tale ending we all think about when we're younger. However, the reality is there is a huge need for our aging population. Sunrise has provided that need for our family and has done so in a graceful way.

Awful communication here. More work than the money spent. They only want your money. They do not do a good job getting people out and communicating with family.
March 2020
We received so much good information throughout the tour of the facility. Associate Director of Sales was professional, knowledgable and compassionate to my family and myself.

My dad just moved in and I’m so impressed with Sunrise. Very clean, friendly staff, especially Cam, who volunteers on Sundays. Thank you for the tour, Cam. I know my dad is in good hands. Allison C.

I have visited twice and only for a short time but I was impressed with the atmosphere. Both times I came were at different times in the afternoon, with no appointment, was just looking...they were having live music both times, encouraging individual residents to take the mic. There was s very nice juice bar as you came in, and the staff were ready to help at the desk.

Great staff ! Helpful , respectful and courteous to all the clients living there. We recently placed a family member here and it’s been wonderful and knowing she is in the best of care is a great comfort .
