My mother has been living at The Commons since October 2025. I cant say enough how thankful I am she is being so well cared for. All of the staff are so friendly and helpful to her and myself for anything needed. Andrew was very helpful and patient with helping my wife and I get my mom set up and moved in. My mom had been moving around from memory care facilities and rehab centers for months and Andrew always made time for us when we had questions or concerns with her move. She is now there in Assisted Care and thriving in the community and no longer needs memory care. My mom enjoys daily activities and socializing with her new friends. Since last May I have seen a lot when it comes to elderly care and I would rate The Commons and the staff a 10 out 10.

The Commons on Thornton is a community where the residents are truly the stars. The environment is consistently clean, and the staff are compassionate, warm, and welcoming. Residents remain actively engaged, and the community provides outstanding services. Their health team is exceptionally strong, and Jill, the Director of Health Services, demonstrates genuine care and dedication to the residents. Highly recommend!

My dear friend came to The Commons after a series of strokes last year. She had been hospitalized then in a Skilled Nursing facility. It made me cry to think that this was her future. When it came time to transfer to Assisted Living we looked at 8-10 places. The Commons made us both feel like family from day one! During our tour, as we passed staff in the hallways, they introduced themselves and welcomed us. My friend moved in days later and has made new friends and found an extended family. Other than making faces when she goes to exercise classes, she enjoys the local outings, live entertainment, movies and other events. Issues arise no matter where you go and the management makes great efforts to resolve them quickly. Committees are in place for larger issues that affect the whole community and they’ve made sure that residents are included on the committees. I would encourage everyone to make The Commons on Thornton the first AND LAST place they tour when looking at Senior and Assisted Living Communities!

The Commons on Thornton has been my grandmother's home since 2016. The staff are kind and courteous. The dining room and open areas within the facility are absolutely gorgeous. I always enjoy seeing how it is decorated for the various holidays throughout the year. A special shout out to Andrew Coronado who has taken my grandmother in as if it is his own grandma! Andrew has treated her with such compassion and kindness. He goes out of his way to make sure she is taken care of and if any issues arise he is there to offer guidance and support. My family and I truly appreciate Andrew. He is the best!

The community itself is clean, beautifully maintained, and thoughtfully designed for both comfort and safety. Whether it’s daily activities, meals, or just everyday interactions, everything is done with heart. It gives such peace of mind knowing residents and staff members is in such good hands. All in all The Commons on Thonton is wonderful. The best about the Commons is the staff. They are all wonderful people, so giving, just like family. What ever is asked they deliver and you usually don't have to ask. They are friendly, kind and make the residents feel like very special people. The Commons offers a wide variety of activities and the facility is very well kept. They are currently remodeling and the place shines, and is looking great. If I had to complain about something it may be the food. It use to be much better a couple of years ago, but I find lately the main course has a lot of sauce and very little meat.(protein) Last night there was one shrimp in the dinner. When they serve beef you are lucky to get 2 small bites. The side dishes are all good. Salads, soups and deserts are very tasty. My opinion might be bias because Im Italian and we like good tasty food. All the sauces make everything taste the same.Need to serve fresh fruit more often too.One other side note, the cleaning people clean well, but they never dust the furniture. All in all I am happy we put my sister into this facility. She often says she feels like a queen while at the Commons.

I’m new here in Stockton and was able to experience the hospitality and kindness of the Common Assited living and memory care. I am so impressed of how staff such as Jill,Katlyn , Gen, cheqiu and everyone cares about their residents. Even the front staff such as Denise and Andrew shows how important and welcoming atmosphere. I definitely recommend this place to many families.

My wife and I have been to this community a couple of times to visit our loved one and the the place is very warm and inviting. All the staff stop to say hello to us and make us feel welcome. We get to follow the happenings on social media, which makes us feel connected. Plus, we enjoy seeing the fun things that they are doing- they even had someone dress up as the Easter Bunny earlier this year. So much fun!

In 2023 I visited several assisted living facilities in Stockton as i was looking for a place for 2 family members. I found The Commons staff to be friendly and truly caring. The facility is very clean and well maintained. My aunt and uncle have been living there for a year now. In June my mom had a fall and was in need of a place to rehabilitate her injuries. To my surprise The Commons allowed short term renters. Our family has been very happy with the care she has received. If you are looking for a place for your loved one I would highly recommend checking this place out.

Our family recently moved our aging parents into The Commons on Thornton, and it couldn’t have gone smoother. Andrew Coronado led the whole process for us and he made it super simple. Andrew is a true professional, and is perfectly suited for his role (although I can’t imagine that he is not on a promotional fast-track for more responsibility). Andrew is extremely knowledgeable, a great listener, super patient, and a very good communicator. Andrew is also very text & phone accessible which was quite helpful in the barrage of questions and decisions that accompany such an undertaking. The rest of the Commons staff seems equally delightful, cooperative, and always friendly/helpful. The residents all seem very happy there too. Our parents moved in 6/26/2024 and already feel happily settled. Andrew and The Commons make for an easy 5-Star+ review!

When I first toured The Commons on Thornton, I knew this was where I wanted to be. It felt so homey with a jigsaw puzzle started in the library and the kindness of the couple i met as I was leaving. The day I moved in, all the staff and caregivers knew my name”it was Hi MOLLY with big smiles wherever I went. From that day on, I have been happy and well cared for. There are so many wonderful people here at The Commons on Thornton, this is my home!

The staff is very courteous and kind. They clearly care very much for the residents there, and they're very good with working with us and with Grandma to provide her with the best possible care. They communicate with us often regarding Grandma's needs and things that help her feel comfortable. The environment is clean and friendly, and everyone there is very kind and respectful to Grandma and to us.

All of the staff in the Memory Care section are outstanding. Maricor, Emily, Flor, Norma and Bernadette are the ones I've had the privilege of communicating with. They are very professional whenever I have to deal with them. My sister Leoda is very well taken care of. We couldn't ask for a better place for her care. Several times we went into her bathroom and she had no toilet paper. We had to ask for some and it was replaced immediately. Thanks to all who work in Memory Care.

Flo, Marcor, Emily, and Bernadette are terrific. My mother enter the Commons about two years ago and they treat her with kindness and respect. They are flexible with her when she is having trouble eating meals and/or taking medication. The theee of us daughters trust that she is being respected and cared for. We feel very secure knowing that she is safe and sound.

My 90 year old mother has been at the Commons on Thornton for 2 months now and we couldn't be happier. The food is delicious, the staff is extremely friendly and helpful and the grounds always clean and well kept. My mother is extremely introverted and I was worried that she would stay secluded in her apartment, but the staff is very good at getting her engaged and interested in participating in many of the various activities offered there. The staff, from top to bottom, all know my mother by name, which to me is very important. It is very heartwarming to know that my mother is being well taken care of. I would highly recommend the Commons on Thornton.

After the death of my dear husband of 68 years and my failing health, it was mutually agreed that I needed to go to a care facility. My dear granddaughter made all the arrangements. My first introduction to the Commons on Thornton was the day I moved into my beautiful apartment. All common rooms are beautifully appointed. All level of services are provided depending on residents needs. The staff is caring and very professional in providing for your needs. There is a full service beauty salon. Wonderful multicultural meals are served daily and served in a beautiful spacious dining room. Holidays are made special. Each morning guests are provided with a list of varied activities. I couldn't be more happy and plan to spend the rest of my days at this most welcoming and beautiful facilty.
