I usually do not take the time to write reviews, but this is a situation where I just have to. I moved my mother from another assisted living facility to Vista a couple of months ago, and we could not be happier with the care provided. One thing that stands out is the staff retention. Our elderly family members get attached to the staff and establish their daily routines with them, making it crucial that there isn't a high turnover rate. The previous facility my mother was at experienced changes in caregivers, which was disruptive. Another significant advantage of Vista is the cost. The care my mother receives here is substantially less expensive than at the previous facility, given the level of care she needs now, which is a huge relief for us. Additionally, Carla, the director of the facility, regularly visits my mother to check on her well-being. This level of personal attention was rare at the previous facility. Carla consistently goes above and beyond what you would expect from a director of an assisted living facility. Every single caregiver involved in my mother's care is wonderful. They are compassionate, attentive, and truly dedicated to her well-being. Their kindness and professionalism provide us with peace of mind, knowing that my mother is in capable and caring hands. Vista has exceeded our expectations in every way, and I highly recommend it to anyone looking for exceptional care for their loved ones.

Finding the right assisted living home for my mom was a very stressful task, after visiting several facilities I came across Vista. The staff was very open and transparent with their facility and reasonable in their prices compared to others facilities I visited. The 24hr monitoring and care exceeded my expectations. The facility is smaller than the larger chain corporate assisted living facilities. As such it's easy to get to know the staff. They are very responsive to requests or to your inquiries. My mom seems very happy in this environment and has been flourishing. I can't say enough about the staff and Carla the Community Relations Director who helped us through out this transition

I moved my 82-year-old Mother into Vista Assited Living back in March of this year. The facility is very clean, spacious, and well maintained, providing a homely atmosphere that encourages social interaction and sense of community. When looking for a place to care for a family member, there is nothing more important than finding a place that has staff that truly demonstrates a genuine sense of compassion and care for its residents. Since the application process and moving my mother into Vista at Simi Valley, I've been very impressed and pleased with the Staff, Administration and Nursing Staff and there attention to my mother's care. I continuously see them go above and beyond to make my family and mother feel confident in our decision to move here. From constantly observing simple , friendly and authentic caring interaction with ALL the residents, to going above and beyond to deal with unique situations as they arise, my family and I are very pleased to know our mother is in good hands with good supervision. We debated between a "board and care" type place and Vista at Simi Valley. We are very glad we moved our mother here as there is much more activities, special events, upbeat staff and overall care than we saw while touring the board and care places. We'd like to thank Carla and all the staff for making this place so welcoming for my mother and our family.

I can't say enough about Vista, and they certainly deserve more than five stars. I have two family members there, my mother in Assisted Living, and my aunt (/Godmother) in Memory Care. They had been roommates for decades, but after lockdown and contracting the virus, they were left unable to care for themselves. Oh what a nightmare; months of unpaid bills to discover, neglected home repairs became major problems, all sorts of lapsed coverage, it has been pure chaos, and right away we knew they needed permanent help. Simi Valley has quite a few choices and we looked at several places, honestly they all seemed like great options, but Vista really felt right. I didn't get a pitch, they listened and offered understanding and experienced advice. They didn't pull any punches, and even dared to show me the MC unit, which can be very unsettling, but it went a long way in establishing trust, and I need trust more than anything else. Mom is very happy there and has always been impressed by both the staff and facility. My aunt isn't aware of much, but she is very well taken care of -- and her siblings agree, because several of my aunts and uncles have visited to make sure their sisters were taken care of. But I owe the praises I received to Vista, or more specifically, the staff. And that's the bottom line - the people and the relationships. They know every name and then some, heck they remember my aunts and uncles who visited. They don't hesitate to call when they need something or see a need, they keep me posted of their experiences, progresses, lapses, you name it. My family cannot do this alone, and when I'm lost, overwhelmed, and in need of some guidance, the staff at Vista has been there. Oh great, I'm sniffling and tearing up, but if you have read this far and are scheduling tours make sure Vista is on your list.

After touring 3 other assisted living communities in Simi Valley looking for the perfect home for my dad, we decided upon Vista. The community is smaller which we liked and the staff is WONDERFUL. From the receptionists that greet you, Deon, Mary F. and Mary W., to the "cruise" director, Tiffany, to the lady with all the answers that is ALWAYS there for you, Carla, to the nurses, Precious and Brimen, the care staff that take care of my dad and the people in the kitchen that that keep my dad's belly full and happy, EVERYONE has a genuine concern and love for my dad. As a family, we could not be happier with the care my dad is getting at Vista!!!

My wife and I are at a loss for words when it comes to describing the compassion, empathy, and care provided by every single employee and staff member at Vista. From Carol Ann (the Executive Director) to Carla, Kim, Brimen, Isaac, Heather, Debbie, Precious, and all the others, they all set the bar for other facilities to strive for. All efforts and attention start and end from within their hearts. My mother fell and was hospitalized, and it was then that we realized professional help was necessary. Carol Ann took us in as though we were her own family. From the moment we walked in, the coordination was effortless and seamless, and the care was bar none. Paperwork was well organized and easy to complete. Food was specially prepared since it was after dinner hours. And did I mention that they insisted on picking her up at the hospital at no charge? Again, other facilities will be challenged to even meet their standard of care, let alone exceed it. Thank you Vista! What a pleasure!

We moved my mother from another Assisted Living in Simi Valley where she was being horribly taken care of to The Vista at Simi Valley. I cannot tell you what a difference we can see in my mom in just a few short months. The staff and caregivers are so amazing and treat the residents like family. You can see the love they have for everyone right when you walk through the door. I could not be happier with our choice. If you are looking for a wonderful home for your loved ones where they will be well taken care of I highly recommend The Vista at Simi Valley.

Carol Ann and her entire staff made us feel so comfortable about leaving our dad in their care. Six weeks of respite care went by so fast. The facility is kept clean and the staff is like family, warm and caring. Thank you for making a hard time so easy. We will definitely use this facility again if the need arises.

My Mom has settled down perfectly in the warm, caring and loving atmosphere of Vista at Simi. I cannot say enough about Vista and the peace of mind and trust I have with them. They are taking excellent care of my Mom. She is so happy there. They go with the flow of the individual resident and it shows in every way. Carla, Briman, Carol Ann, Debbie and Heather are always welcoming us when we visit. I have never experienced the personal touch they provide in their community for their residents and the residents family. I am so lucky my Mom is there.
