November 2023
My husband recently died of Parkinson's disease. For the last 5 years he lived at a board and care home. His home, originally called L'Chaim House and now under new management and named Gentle Home Care at 463 Nova Albion Way, was such a remarkable find. My husband couldn't have had better care and because he had frequent falls the staff watched him like a hawk to keep him safe. They always made great food and the house was always spotless ...his bedding and clothes were always clean. I can't recommend this board and care enough. It is a difficult decision to place a loved one in such a home but they gave my husband the best care possible. This home was the best by far of all the board and care homes we looked at when we knew we could no longer keep him safe at home.
