We are very happy with the care and attention our sister receives at Atria. She commented today that everyone was "lovely". The staff calls her by name and greets her warmly. She enjoys the meals. We are very happy that PT is available on site and the in house pharmacy takes care of all her medicines. The staff plans special theme days which are enjoyable. Atria is a good fit for our family.

Atria San Juan Assisted Living/Memory Care is a very special place that has a warm atmosphere from the moment you walk into the lobby. Brenda, Diane and Mariel who man the front desk are friendly and helpful in midst of challenging multi-tasking, eg greeting visitors/guests, answering phones, in person requests, etc. The staff members (both seen & unseen) working for the Atria residents, i.e. nurses, aides, cleaning, kitchen/dining, maintenance, etc. are very hardworking and caring. The staff - at all levels - are THE BEST!!!

I occasionally help out my best friends' mom who has been staying here during a rehabilitation period. She has had a really positive experience! The staff is extremely friendly and accommodating. The food is very good (I've eaten a few meals myself) and they have amazing activities! It seems like there is always something fun going on for the residents, which creates a great community feel.

My aging mother in law moved in with us, and during the last year experienced a rapid decline with her Alzeimer's. When her condition started exceeding our capabilities, we began a thorough search of memory care facilities over a few month period We chose Atria and we are very thankful we did! All members of the care TEAM showed high scores in patient CARE, emotional intelligence, customer SERVICE, and cleanliness. Background/FYI I am a retired fire captain/paramedic with 32 yrs on the job.. I have run on a lot of patients in various memory care/assisted care facilities, over those thirty plus years. Atria impressed me. I know of several FD personnel who also have their loved ones in Atria SJC. In summary, I want to thank the ladies that tend to the patients during all hours of the day and night. We are VERY thankful all of you.

We recently moved our mother into the Memory Care facility at Atria San Juan. We visited about 8 places in all and this was the best fit for us. From the first visit when we met Community Sales Director, Christy Farris, she was a joy to work with! She was friendly, positive, and very helpful. I had many questions while visiting, and after, which Christy was more than able to answer, or research and get back to me with an answer. Once our decision was made for Atria, Christy was able to help us with move-in arrangements. Our mother is content and happy at Atria and Christy continues to be a friendly face and a source of information and encouragement! The Memory Care Director, Wally, is fantastic! She is very involved with the residents.

When my mother wanted more help but still wanted to live independently, we moved her from her home to Atria San Juan Capistrano. It is a lovely facility filled with friendly staff and lots of activities. The food is excellent. She has made a lot of friends. Plays cards, BINGO and many other daily activities. The staff keeps on eye on everyone and I think she is very safe. She recently had a heart attack and needs more care now and they have the staff to help her so she doesn’t have to move. I have had a lot of experience with senior living facilities since my father passed from Alzheimer’s 5 years ago. Atria San Juan gets a 10 out of 10 as far as I am concerned.

I found this place for my parents in February 2025 after reading positive reviews posted in 2024. The facility is very clean. The staff is very professional and friendly. I occasionally dine with them in the Atria dining room; the food is excellent. I just had to increase the level of care and make a room change for my parents. Atria made the transition very simple. I highly recommend Atria San Juan.

Atria has been great for my mom. Her diagnosis came on pretty quick and when she started wandering at night we knew we need to find her somewhere where she could get the care she needed! After viewing 5-6 senior living facilities in South Orange County for my 91 year old dad, I landed on Atria San Juan in San Juan Capistrano. It feels like a boutique hotel in a small European town with tons of Spanish/Mediterranean charm. What initially sold me on this pet-friendly property was the location, the setting, the restaurant/bistro menus and the daily activities for residents. It was also a great value compared to the other properties I visited. The staff at Atria is AMAZING friendly, caring and professional! This definitely confirmed I had made the right choice for my dad. If you’re looking for a senior living facility for yourself or a loved one, I highly recommend Atria San Juan!

I moved my parents here in January 2025 they were in ok health but declining, not eating well at home. Since living here they are thriving, they eat three healthy meals a day and getting a some walking in going to and from the dining room three times a day. Atria San Juan has been a haven for both of my parents. It all comes together here with caring and competent staff, a beautiful well-maintained accessible peaceful property, and an amazing interesting and supportive community of people that live there. I looked at many places from different angles, and then toured my parents through 8 assisted living communities. They chose Atria San Juan. This environment has proven true to their impression over and over. The staff in charge work effectively to keep this place a special high quality environment. For our Dad it has provided a place for conversation exchange and social interaction that he was missing in his home when our Mom was no longer able to drive. Transportation to Doctors appointments is available and consistent. To go to church on Sundays from Atria San Juan taking them there is a huge plus factor. The apartment itself is spacious, well-appointed, and gets beautiful light with an outdoor patio. Musical concerts are frequent, and all of us especially enjoyed the Christmas concert with visiting college superb musicians. The events coordinator has scheduled many beautiful and tasty outings as well as discussion provoking and life affirming speakers. The daily activities such as the walks and the exercise class there and the good meals and eating together with their community have brought them daily enjoyment. We were so lucky to hear about Atria San Juan by a great friend whose mother is there. Overall, very happy with Atria San Juan, thank you for providing a safe and caring community!

When it was time for my mom to go into assisted living, we did a lot of research as she was very hesitant to make the move. Atria has been wonderful in making this transition go much smoother then we ever thought possible. The facility is spotless, the amenities and programs excellent, but most importantly, the staff are incredible and personable. We are so happy we chose Atria and my mom is also slowly coming around to the change. I also know she is safe and getting the appropriate assistance she needs.

We LOVE Atria San Juan! My husband and I toured six facilities before making the decision to move my 98-year-old mom into this warm, inviting facility in March, and we are so happy that we did. Jim, the Executive Director, is the nicest man and is so approachable. Meeting with him helped to cinch the deal! My mom needs caregivers to come in throughout the day and night to help toilet her and to take her to and from the beautiful dining room. The caregivers and med techs are all fantastic and are great about communicating with us about what is best for Mom. Not only is there a wide variety of menu options, but the food is excellent! My husband and I eat there regularly and enjoy getting to know the residents, who all make sure to welcome and include all new people. With a wide assortment of books in the library, my mom is so happy since she loves to read novels. For residents who enjoy games, every day you will find residents, along with staff, playing card games or bingo. Helen, the Director of Activities is so warm and loving; she truly glows! She brings in all kinds of entertainment for the residents and holds a daily "Happy Hour." The enclosed outdoor patios allow for the residents to get out to enjoy the beautiful weather here in San Juan and to enjoy doing some laps to get in some exercise. You will even find in the grass area a bin holding various outdoor games. Occasionally, we bring our grandkids to enjoy that space with their Great Grandma. A large outdoor grill is found in one patio where you can have family members over for a BBQ. On Memorial Day, my mom loved that the community took the residents outside for grilled hot dogs and hamburgers. She was excited to indulge in a beer and said that it was such a good day! I clearly could write a book about Atria San Juan, but I just want to share my passion for this very special facility for our older loved ones. Kathy Martin

When you walk up the flower lined entrance and step into the lobby of Atria San Juan Capistrano, you often will hear music, and laughter. See residents relaxing in the library and they are smiling. Greeted by friends, Pat and Jack, or Nick, Phil and Betty. Michael and Melanie, Anna, David, Maria, Susan and Mary, Chef Kevin, all work with one purpose in mind, to enrich the lives of their residents. The residence is warm, and welcoming, and cozy nestled is quiet San Juan Capistrano. A close knit community of friends who care about each other, it is wonderful to witness. I am grateful for the friendship offered to my father. His life was enriched and we are grateful for his time at Atria San Juan Capistrano, Ca.

This is a wonderful location, with exceptional service. My mother has been staying here for the last 6 months now, and she loves the variety of foods offered. They have special events set up each weekend for the residents, as well as communal areas to enjoy the outdoors, or for sitting next to a fireplace playing games. It has given my mother a sense of independence, while still giving her, and I, the piece of mind that help is just a buzz away if needed. In addition, all of our interactions with management/staff have been responsive, professional, and polite.

Atria San Juan is a special place for your elderly loved one that requires assisted living. My mom has been living there for over 3 years now and the facility, workers, and residents are people of high standards and character. I visit regularly and witness the dedication of staff as they genuinely take excellent care of my mom’s needs. Food is excellent, rooms are clean, laundry is done with care, all staff take pride in caring for my mom, and there’s no better place for my mom to call home! Pricing is very reasonable with high-end service from loving employees...!

My mother and father moved in September of 2018 we chose the Artria because I use to be an administrator at a retirement facility for 11 years so I knew what to look for and they far surpassed my check box. Covid it in March and there has been no deaths due to The . The administrator is incredible he goes above and beyond keeping Atria safe for all and follow the strict guidelines they have to follow. Covid is debilitating for the best of us to say the least but at the Atria they have made sure that all residents know that they are loved and cared for by all the staff. My dad became ill at 98 and had to be on hospice. My mom is 97 in March and they were married 73 years so my mom was beside herself. They let my sister and I suit up PPE style and be with my mom and at my dying fathers bedside ... so I CANT say enough about the care and dedication the Atria provides. Happy elderly parents means a happy well run community. Right? What a relief! Atria San Juan is a first class community and the staff has been extraordinary. Sweet, caring, professional and very accommodating. Now let’s talk about the food. Happy elderly parents means an excellent culinary experience. Three excellent meals a day prepared by Chef Alexander Flores and his team at Atria has been amazing. I live nearby and have meals with my parents often. I am so impressed with the food.... honestly, so good,...excellent in fact. The kitchen is open from 7am to 7pm with no set schedule for meals. That flexibility and the food quality and creativity by Chef Alex has made all the difference in the world for my San Francisco native foodie parents. Thank you Atria! Keep up the good work. Happy parents means happy daughter!!

I'm writing this as a performer/volunteer, so I assure you my opinion is not biased. Out of all the senior citizen retirement communities I've performed, this is BY FAR the most modern, classy and life-enrichment oriented. There are some very colorful characters who call Atria San Juan their home - specifically those residents who are enthusiastic enough to come up and share their personal input while I'm performing! I always have a great time chatting with the residents after my performance or when assisting with a special project, and they have so many stories to tell.. and talk about 5-star dining. The food here is literally AS GOOD as the French fare available at the last fine-dining establishment at which I was performing. They must be employing master chefs or something.. try the Filet Mignon. This place is so nice it makes me want to apply for Social Security early! I always use that as an opener during my performances - hey, it works. Great place to volunteer or even just stop in and explore, spacious elegant and decorous. This is no rest home - it's ALIVE.

Having been my first experiance working with senior citizens I can say that Atria San juan is a very caring community. The staff is wonderful and give 100%.The engaged life program is a work of art, created by Gigi Mauter. Her assistant Denise Pedroza has the nickname of "Atrias Angel" I would have loved my own mother to have ben a resident here, she would have so enjoyed it, especially the entertainment on Saturdays at the wine and cheese social.
