On- site meals in a restaurant designed for getting to know other residents. Today, I had guests visit and enjoy lunch. Bianca, our server, gave us her full attention and enthusiasm. My friends and I had plenty of time to socialize and enjoy our meals. Feeling welcome is valued for guests and residents. This location is so beautiful! Every member of the staff that we interacted with was so friendly, professional and welcoming. There are tons of activities provided for the residents and their families, and beautiful spots around the property for relaxing outside of the individual residences. The food looked incredible, and is available at multiple locations on the property. I loved the fresh flowers at each table! I spoke at length with a lady that has lived here for 6 months, and she said she was so happy there and just loved it. We are not ready to make a decision yet of where we will land for the future, but this location is at the top of our list!

This is a very active community with a lot of activities and events going on, promoting socialization that is very vital to a senior's life. This community has Independent Living, Assisted Living and Memory Care. There are walking paths, a movie theatre, auditorium, outdoor patio area and a pool for the residents to use. They have swim classes, art classes, lectures, group exercises, and entertainment for the residents as well. All of the staff are very caring and supportive especially with the resident's changing needs. As an Occupational Therapist, I can say that this is a very good community to promote quality of life while aging in place.

My wife and I moved to The Watermark Senior Living at Almaden in September of 2024. My wife suffers from advanced Multiple Sclerosis and needs assistance with most daily activities. We have found the Watermark to be a superior facility for senior citizens whether or not they need assistance. This is truly a luxury facility with every amenity one might want. But the food services are the best part. Not just because the food is delicious and varied, but mostly due to the extremely helpful and friendly help staff. I would like to name a few of the most outstanding of the people who work here, although concerned that I might fail to name someone deserving of honorable mention. When one first comes in contact with The Watermark, the marketing team are the first people to help out. Our marketing person was Patty, who guided us through the decision-making process. Next, is Ally, the move in coordinator. She is an energetic diligent worker, who has answers to all your questions, and an extensive list of companies and agencies to assist in downsizing into a senior living facility. Ally is always available during one’s stay here to help with any issues. The front desk is manned by a team of helpful concierges, led by Gina and Matt. They help the residents with ordering food, retrieving packages, and answering questions. The team is friendly, and competent. As I mentioned, food services are a high note. The Bistro is particularly noteworthy. Aurora runs the Bistro keeping it stocked with beverages, sandwiches and snacks. She makes sandwiches to order and slushies. We have spent a lot of time at the Bistro grabbing ready-to-eat and specialty foods. The restaurant serves three excellent meals per day. The Servers are all very friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. I can’t name them all, but particularly deserving of mention are Barbara and the Juan brothers (Juan Carlo and Juan Pablo). They are always moving at a fast pace and making sure your order gets to you quickly, while seeming to have a fun time doing it. The dining room is supervised by Dianna, who makes sure that all the tables are covered and getting their orders. Debbie is the overall restaurant supervisor. Her’s is a huge job and very well done. I wish I could name all the other servers and the behind-the-scenes folks, who do the cooking and cleaning, but there is simply not enough time. The Maintenance chief, Wes, has another huge job. He is responsible for both building maintenance and housekeeping. He has two great teams under his supervision. The maintenance staff are very helpful with move in requirements, like picture hanging, as well as keeping the building in working order. The housekeepers are very industrious workers come once a week to clean the apartments thoroughly, and wash towels and sheets. Here, at the Watermark, there are many activities to help pass the time. There are card games, dominos, entertainers, exercise programs (not to mention a fantastic gym), and arts and crafts. Every Saturday evening, for example, Gena, the social director, hosts a blackjack game in the lounge. The lounge has a bartender who comes in for happy hour several days a week. The social director’s team keeps things fun with activities throughout the day. Last, but certainly not least, are the nurses and caregivers. We are here because we need assistance, and the care team provides all the assistance we require with good humor and proper techniques.

Watermark is the second Senior living facility I have been in. The first was not so good so after reviewing some other places the family moved my wife and I here. That was four years ago and I can only say good things about Watermark. I know a little about management and I am pleased with all interactions I have had. Just one example I is kitchen management and staff. A complaint to management or a server is acted on and resolved immediately. There is much more but I will end with saying I am completely satisfied with Watermark and happy to be living here.

My mom has lived at Watermark at Almaden for more than a year and we are quite happy. There have been some challenges but the team has always been responsive to working together to solve any problems. The facility is beautiful and there are many comfortable and inviting spaces, from the dining room and bistro to the game room and 4th floor lounge. There has been some staff change but the staff remaining is top notch and we are optimistic that the new hires will be as impressive. Thanks to Brenda for leading during all the transition, to Wes for handling all maintenance issues quickly and expertly, to Debbie for working hard to keep the food fresh and healthy and to Angel and Art for making my mom’s health a priority.
