My parents considered other senior communities before deciding on Oakmont over a year ago. The care/med staff helped my parents (and myself!) transition into their new lifestyle and went out of their way to encourage them to meet other residents (my mom now has some new friends who conveniently live in the same building.) I go to Oakmont each week - they care about the work they do and the directors have always been easy to find and talk to.

One of the things I have come to appreciate most about Oakmont is how they keep my father mentally and physically active all day. When he first arrived, he just wanted to be in bed all day. They eased him out of his comfort zone, placing him in group activities that kept him from being inactive and depressed. My father's physical therapist also noticed his health and credited Oakmont with a good program for keeping residents healthy. We love what you do for our Dad, Oakmont. Please keep up the good work!

My aunt has lived here for 13 months and my mother lived here for 7 months before she passed away. The staff and management have always been kind, supportive and available. Even on their days off. Aldi and Paula have always gone above and beyond to reply to texts and emails very quickly. And always willing to talk to me when I'm onsite in person. Mona the activities director is full of energy and love for the residents. The residents themselves were welcoming of my family members and always have a kind word to share. It is truly a blessing to have found Oakmont for the older ladies in our lives!

Oakmont has been a very good place for our mom. She was in Assisted Living for a year and has now transitioned to their memory care. We have found the staff in both areas to be genuinely caring and compassionate.

The Front-line workers (care givers, dining room servers, med techs, house keepers, concierge) who make this place run really care about their residents and treat them like family. The activity director Mona is amazing, and so dedicated and creative. The new Executive Director Paula and new Maintenance Director Travis are new at their jobs, but are doing an excellent job. My mother has been in assisted living and overall it has worked out for her better than I could have imagined.

I have been at Oakmont for about a year. It is an amazing community. We have some awesome employees working here that really care about our residents and their families. The residents are warm and welcoming to new residents coming into the community and the staff will do everything in their power to make you feel welcome and at home.

Oakmont of San Jose is a senior community that will care for your loved one like a family! The staff are very accommodating , always a smile to welcome you and the community as a whole is nice and clean. They also make sure that they maintain the quality of living of their residents through daily activities and different events. My company have had the opportunity to care for some of their residents.
