This is a wonderful facility. The culture of excellent service is obvious in all departments. Each and every staff member is genuinely welcoming & ready to go the extra mile for their residents visitors and vendors. They maintain a spectacular care team, kitchen crew, maintenance professionals as well as administrative personnel.

I'm happy to have Mom in the care of Novellus. They really do have her best interests at heart. I ate with Mom yesterday and my only comment about the food is that it could be a little hotter.

I can't say enough good things about Brookdale Clairemont. We moved my mother (102 years old) there two months ago after living on her own and it has been a fantastic experience in every way. All of the staff members are extraordinarily kind and helpful and go out of their way to take care of her. They are patient, responsive, and look after many details, including picking out a cute outfit for her to wear every day. The residents are very friendly and have made a point of saying hi to my mom and calling her by name even though she doesn't see or hear well. My mother is delighted to be there and keeps saying she is living in luxury. The dining staff is amazing, providing wonderful meals and special treats. The housekeeping and laundry services are excellent and do a beautiful job. I absolutely would recommend Brookdale Clairemont to anyone.

My father has lived here for six years, and they've been great. But I wanted to take the time to comment on the amazing newer Executive Director, Candi Laird. I haven't had this experience with a caring, communicative person before now. I genuinely feel like she has the best interests of the residents in mind, and I'm very happy to have my father there in the care of someone like this. He can be a handful lol and she's worked hard to make sure he's taken care of and happy. There are a lot of residents here, some of which need much more specialized care than he does. The fact that she's able to devote this much care to everyone there makes me very happy. My Father's three adult children all have full time work and lives of their own. We do our best, but having wonderful staff at a care facility is worth so much. Thank you for all you do, Candi.

My 84 yr old dad had a stroke during the Covid era, and is no longer self sufficient. He was in two different senior care facilities prior to Brookdale, and he was miserable in both! Now he has been in Brookdale for 18 months, and he really likes the facility, the food, and the staff! The staff is always caring to his needs, and keep me in the loop if something is off with him! I would strongly recommend lookin into Brookdale Clairemont if you need help for a loved one!

This Brookdale community is one of a kind here! The staff are all so welcoming and caring. Candie and Imelda are very involved and attentive with each and every resident! Would highly recommend this community for anyone looking for theirselves or a loved one!

OVERALL, IT'S A GOOD PLEASE TO LIVE, WITH ATTENTIVE AND FRIENDLY STUFF AND FANTASTIC MANAGEMENT STUFF. I RECOMMEND THIS FACILITY WITHOUT RESERVATION. YOU WON'T BE SORRY YOU MOVED HERE. IN THE END IT ALL STARTS WITH GREAT MANAGEMENT AND THAN IT TRICKLES DOWN FROM THERE. THE TWO LADIES IN MANAGEMENT I HAVE DEALT WITH, ARE SUPER FRIENDLY, EXTREMELY KNOWLEDGEABLE, VERY ACCOMMODATING, NEVER PUSHY. THEY ARE FANTASTIC. THEY ARE THE BEST MANAGERS, I HAVE EVER DEALT WITH, IN ANY FIELD.

My Grandfather is a resident here and I personally cant imagine a better place for him. Everyone is so nice and welcoming, what I love most is that every time I visit him hes always either excited for an upcoming outing or he raves about an activity he just did. Best part is hes treated like family at Brook dale, whether its on his outings or even by housekeeping. He named one specific young lady once and even made it a point to introduce me to her to say how lovely she is, I believe her name was Georgia. All in all I would recommend this place for anyones loved one.

I was helping my wife, looking for an assistant living place close to my home for my mother in law. After searching and looking at many places Brookdale Clairemont was prompt in calling me back, answering my questions and explaining all the amenities that would be available for her care. The staff was so friendly and was instrumental in making this move easy for us. My mother in law got settled in and really liked her place. Everyone is so attentive to her needs and those of the residents there. Brookdale and the staff and associates there really make it feel like family there and that was what we wanted for my mother in law as she made this change. Brookdale staff is always there for the residents needs. Thank you Brookdale Clairemont & staff for all that to do to keep my mother in law safe and comfortable in her new home.

When it became time to move my loved ones into a assisted living community it was a very scary thing as it was all new to us & Donelle the executive director put our minds at ease . This senior living center is the best I have known as I have other family experiences at senior care facilities.My family has been very lucky to have my father live at Brookdale in San Diego for the last two years. During his stay, Donelle Williams has been invaluable as a friend, councilor and has helped us to get services and advice for my fathers transition. Her patience, kindness, wisdom and problem solving was exactly what we needed in our vulnerable time when seeking help and comfort.I couldnt have my father leave Brookdale without acknowledging Donelles compassion and strength as a care giver and director.Thank you for making this delicate time so much better and happier for our family.I would recommend this home to anyone.Take Care,Kimberly

My 92 Mother in law had surgery, and after 10 days of post surgical care at an Acute Care Facility in Mission Hills, which was a continual nightmare of lack of care, we busted her out of there, literally, and took her to Brookdale Clairemont for 3 weeks of respite care. Rachel was our point of contact and couldnt have been more warm and caring for our anxiety of where Mom had been staying, post surgery. She moved mountains to ensure the room was ready at a moments notice, and we finally had some peace, knowing Mom was in a safe, attentive, and clean environment. The staff at Brookdale Clairemont are exceptional and were always right there is Mom needed assistance. The room was spacious and we were able to bring in a couple of armchairs for Mom and Dad, who is 90, to sit in when he came to visit her and watch football. They were as kind and accommodating to my Father in law, as they were to my Mom. It was quiet, dog and cat friendly, which is important for Mom who has a little dog that could visit, and had a lovely, comfortable, shady courtyard that was also remarkably peaceful. Mom loved the food and would tell us everyday what she had for her meals. Mom said it was delicious. Mom went home yesterday, and for many reasons we are sad about that, however respect Mom and Dads decision to stay as independent as possible for as long as they safely can. I can tell you, if we ever need assisted living for one or both of them, Brookdale Clairemont would be my first choice. Thank you to Christina and all the girls in the wellness center for being there every time Mom needed them and for putting up with me. Thanks to Delores and Pam for greeting us whenever we visited and for putting up with my phone calls, and to the ladies in the dining room for their kindness. A huge thank you to Rachel for your sensitivity and being available whenever I had a question. If I am able to be in such a place when I need assisted living, I will be very happy. This is a place with serious heart.

My mom is the newest resident. She was warmly welcomed by employees as well as other residents. While on a busy street, once inside, its a wonderful new home for Mom where we know she will be safe and happy.
