I remember well the heartache of Mom's move-in day to Oakmont of East Sac Traditions (Memory Care). But we could not be more pleased and grateful for the Oakmont staff - they have become like extended family to all of us. We are grateful for their professionalism and commitment to attentive care. But we are most grateful for their compassion and kindness - their respect and dignity and honor purposed to be given to all residents, and the joy they desire to pass on. From the top, they lead by example, and take this calling very seriously. They have taught us and walk us through many circumstances. We are partners in this journey. Activities are thoughtfully planned. Mom especially likes the live music by visiting musicians who come regularly, animal visits, and root-beer float Wednesdays. She enjoys the special events that occur with each season. But apart from this there are thoughtful activities desirous of building a sense of community amongst the residents and caregivers, and fullness to their days. Much intention is given to each day. Avenues of communication are strong – they listen and are always trying to find ways to improve. They truly seek to be attentive to identify and resolve any needs or challenges. The Oakmont building is quite lovely – spacious and inviting on the Assisted Living side, and smaller and cozy on the Traditions side for the comfort of those walking through dementia. Both have a lovely patio. I feel free to take Mom for visits on the AL side as a change of scenery. We sit by one of the fireplaces and enjoy the warmth. People welcome us. Cleaning is constant, which is evident both visually and by smell. But the surroundings are also lovely. During pleasant weather, I take Mom for wheelchair walks in a neighborhood that cannot be replicated. It's a gem of a location. We meet friendly dog walkers and neighbors enjoying the outdoors. There is a small playground to observe children, and a lovely rose garden. Mom runs lavender through her hands, which comforts her. I always feel safe coming and going day or evening. That's important. Just observations from someone who is very connected. We will be forever grateful for the wonderful people of Oakmont helping us all walk well through one of life's most challenging seasons.

When I and my wife decided to move to an assisted living community, the biggest mistake I made was to tour Oakmont of East Sacramento first. We subsequently toured three other facilities and they all paled in comparison. The facilities are obviously new and the staff are to a person friendly and helpful. We have now lived here for one month and it has more than met our expectations. And if you like meeting interesting, even remarkable, people, you couldn't find a better place to hang out.

Beautiful location and friendly employees. Nice community feel. Photo from my table set up for last week's business mixer. The residents and employees loved the Massages I gave. Neck and shoulders.

Moving my 97yo aunt to Oakmont Senior Living Memory Care was the best decision that our family made for her long term care. The kind and caring staff welcomed her with open arms and made her feel comfortable and accepted, the moment she stepped through the doors. She enjoyed the daily activities and she said the meals were 'the best.' The 24/7 care from the caretakers and med techs was excellent and on point. We, as a family, were also graciously welcomed and supported by the staff. So glad she had the opportunity to live at Oakmont. Great place.

Oakmont is a wonderful senior living option option and we fee so lucky to have chosen it for my mom. The staff are caring and professional. The food- quality and selection- is terrific. The apartments are spacious and inviting. The common spaces are meticulously maintained and there is a wide variety of activities and opportunities offered to the residents. We love that Oakmont is located in the middle of a lovely residential neighborhood- so mom can enjoy peaceful walks in a beautiful environment. It was the perfect choice for our family.

I'd like to address concerns about the discrimination and rudeness from a staff member. That works in the kitchen or dining area. She said very loudly that some other staff member was a unicorn for being lgbtq+ person. I've noticed from being in the dining room that other staff have a hard time working with someone like that. Also have noticed not many residents like being served by her due to there's always something wrong with the order. I'd like to see something done about this individual. She should have been let go already due to harassment issues leading to the employee that got called a unicorn to put in their resignation. This should be a safe place for employees as well as residents.

Very nice facility, nice staff. They take care of my grandma, she's always looked after. It's very expensive, but all of them are, this is nicer than any other nursing home I've seen.

OES's Traditions Memory Care is everything they advertise and more! Their facility is state of the art and their staff is capable and caring. Special shout out to Aashana, Luna, Aaron & Graeme!

I generally do not post reviews but because of the recent move of my mother to Oakmont East Sacramento, I felt a review was warranted. My siblings and I have visited many facilities and Oakmont East Sacramento made the top of our list from the day of our tour till now, the communication with the staff, exceeded our expectations. I sat with Dina Alfonso the Move In Coordinator with the delivery of a stack of forms/paperwork and she was so patient and explained in detail my concerns. She did not rush me and took the time to answer questions. She followed up with me to see how appts were going and to reassure me that we were on the right track. These actions from Dina contributed to our decision in moving our mother here. I worked directly with a number of the staff, Amelia, Rosemary, Ashika, Chris, Maintenance, Jennifer at the main desk, just to name a few as this is a recent move I can't remember all the names. lol. Even the residents are friendly in making my mother feel comfortable. Did I talk about the food??? Delicious!!! I can go on and on. Thank you again Dina and the Oakmont of East Sacramento staff for creating a welcoming, warm and clean environment. ~

Where to begin: trauma w/86 yo Mom, insulin coma, kidney failure, congested heart failure and a host of other issues with 48 hours to relocate from Clovis to Sacramento and Janane: secured room, arranged transport, had paperwork ready (also hours away from having a baby) procured medical staff etc. She and the staff allowed me to emotionally (a hot mess) vent, had others available to assist me with move in (many details) and hand held me walking through this new journey w/zero experience. I was simply unprepared for what happened to my Mom and not equipped to cope with the tsunami I faced all the while fast tracking for my Mother’s arrival-which is altogether another daily mountain. I would be remised not to congratulate all folks who work at this facility on their passionate and professional work-it team s beyond HARD to endure their job. I have been witness to many situations in the last 6 weeks as I have spent countless hours everyday working and tending to my Mim while getting her settled into her new environment. I was deeply touched yesterday to hear comments and watch the commendable transition at shift change amount 17 members: not one complaint about residences, food, administrators, co-workers etc-NOW THIS IS STELLAR! My Mom is safe, clean, feed, medically monitored, entertained and more. Rest assured Oakmont is where your loved one is treated with kindness and their well being healthy is priority.

My parents really enjoy living at Oakmont of East Sacramento. Recently, they celebrated their 65 wedding anniversary and my mother's 92nd birthday with a party organized by the Front of House Manager, Stephanie, and the Activities Director, Danielle. Stephanie's Front of House staff (the culinary staff), put on a spectacular and delicious display of hors d'oeuvres including vegetable and fruit trays, amazing Swedish meatballs, cakes, champagne, and Martinelli's. Everyone went back for at least seconds, if not more! Danielle's team decorated the lounge beautifully color-themed for "65 years" (blue sapphire and silver). Amazing fliers (which were topics of conversation during the party) were put up early so people could plan their agendas accordingly, the flyers were also attached to the daily bulletin that is attached to everyone's door. Special thanks to Chris from the culinary staff who lead the announcements, the happy birthday song, cheers, and accolades. There was even a resident who lead a "cheer!" I wish I could remember all the names of the staff I interacted with who made the party such a success. It was a total team effort and an absolutely wonderful time had by all! My heart is still full and emotional - five days later! Thank you to all of you - VERY MUCH!!!

My parents moved to Oakmont ES in November 2020. It was hard for me to let them go. Four months later I can honestly say - Im happy and relaxed. Additionally, I ask my parents if theyre happy they moved and they say, yes. That is very important! - I was concerned about COVID and everything turned out to be very efficient, transparent and honest. While there were quarantines, everything was handled very professionally, including weekly COVID tests followed by very timely vaccinations. To my relief, Im sure my parents were vaccinated much sooner than I could have gotten them vaccinated. During the quarantine, meals were delivered three times a day to their apartment. - It was also very important my parents share an apartment, as my mother has some progressing dementia. That isnt always possible with other assisted care communities. She also qualified for a long term care insurance claim for medication assistance. - Their one bedroom apartment is great. Their furniture works well in it. Its large enough so theyre not on top of each other, but has enough room for two recliners, a couch, large TV and dining room table. Their bedroom comfortably has a queen size bed, dressers for each of them and a desk for my dads computer and printer. - Food - its amazing! The staff is very attentive and helpful with special orders. My mother requires a special bland diet which the staff works with me on. - Exercise programs and social activities - very well run. Gary spent special time with my father on the treadmill familiarizing him the machine. He also has organized walks my father has participated in. My father also walks the interior parameter to get his steps in. When the quarantine is over, I plan to participate in exercise programs with my mother. - Dogs - very dog friendly if your dog is friendly - and I havent met an unfriendly dog, yet! - Everything is always clean. Everyone is friendly. I am always amazed at how they know my name and who my parents are whenever I come to visit or call. Theyre good about getting my father to call me if I cant reach him on his cell phone. - Overall, our experience has been very positive. There are adjustments anywhere you go, but the team is very willing to work as a team with family members and welcome it.
