Gramercy Court – Reviews
September 2024
I was here for 2 weeks in early September. I am very impressed with the great level of care from the staff. The PT staff was knowledgeble and caring and the nursing staff was the same. I want to especially give thanks to Sai Harris as one who was always kind and cheerful and went out of her way for extra care when I needed it As I was on a special diet the food was as ordered so I just had to accept that. The dietician was very helpful and found recipes for me to use at home. I may have to return in late Oct. as I am having surgery and would be very happy to come back to Gramercy Court.

One of my favorite skilled nursing facilities in all of the greater Sacramento area! The staff is absolutely rockstar, amazing, and it's beautiful and clean at all times

My mom is currently at Gramercy memory care. When I was looking for a memory care facility for mom, I looked at a few. Some made my stomach hurt, but When I first toured Gramercy memory care facility, I was very impressed. I put my mom on the waiting list for Gramercy memory care. My mom has been there since Aug/sept 2023. The facility is clean and doesn't have a bad smell. The staff are professional and kind. My mom seems to really like the food. The most important things is this is the heathiest my mom has been a very long time and the happiest I had ever seen her. My mom can roam around in her wheelchair freely and safely. I don't have to worry about her getting out of the doors. Safe environment was important for me when I was looking for a place for her. I have zero complaints when it comes to the quality of care given to my mom. This is my mom's home now and I wanted to make sure I found right home for her. I found it!

A good friend of mine is in their recovery facility and he's very appreciative, the only complaint is his bed is a hospital gurney bed, mattresses are of the highest quality, a bit on the thin side and when your basically bed ridden, that equals pain. One would think a highly professional and profitable business, would spend a few more dollars on comfort for these seniors that could use the extra cushion. Just an idea owners, that doesn't have to apply to every bed , but you could stock some quality mattresses for a few.

Pleasantly surprised with this facility. My mother had a fall and was transferred to Gramercy for rehab. I didn't know exactly what to expect but once there we really liked it. My mother is hard to please & I almost think she didn't want to come home today Lol. Helpful staff, clean facility and according to my mom decent food. The only thing that was strange to me was that no one assisted her/us to the car to ensure she was ok upon her departure. Other than that I would certainly recommend this facility. THANK YOU GC STAFF!

Place is always spotless. Most of the staff was rude and acted like they didn't care about putting their patients needs first. The only person we met that that actually cared about the well being of the patients was Nina who was in charge of the CNAs if im not mistaken. Her kindness and caring was almost enough to redeem the entirety of the staff that we dealt with from the obvious apathy, general negative attitude and unprofessionalism that appears to run quite deep within the staff of ascot hall.

Wow! What an incredible experience I've had with Trisa Cysewski and her team at Gramercy Court Memory Care. They truly go above and beyond to ensure my mom is comfortable and well taken care of in memory care assisted living. From the prompt and thorough communication to the top-notch physicality and daily curriculum, it's clear that this team is dedicated to providing the best possible care for their residents. It's understandable to feel worried about a loved one's care in an assisted living facility, but Trisa put those fears to rest and made the transition as smooth as possible. With her attention to detail, professionalism, and availability, it's no wonder my mom is having such a positive experience. Please reach out to her if you're considering looking for care for a loved one. Their care is world-class.

Everyone is so friendly and they go out of their way to make you comfortable. The food is terrific! They are willing to work with you and your needs with a smile on their face. Large assortment of food and fresh fruit. Even the kitchen staff thinks ahead and makes sure you are taken care of. I've seen some of the residents be rude and even obnoxious, the staff are professional and still go out of their way to help and assist. I look forward to physical and occupational therapy everyday because the staff is so thoughtful and kind. I don't think there is one bad thing I could say about them.

Update to this review: since my original post the heads here have spoken to me and all of the problems described below have changed. I have been assigned a new aide named Barbara Stevenson that is fantastic. She had been temporarily assigned to a different section but is back here in rehab sector. She is wonderful and very encouraging. Never makes me feel lazy or anything. She encourages me to do what I can and if I feel unable reminds me sometimes we all feel sluggish. The aids on each shift now come in to check on me. My suggestion is if having difficulty like I did at first talker to the head nurse or other department head and they will look into and correct what is wrong. Except the meals are still not diabetic friendly. For that reason I am only giving them 4 stars. The aides at night only come if you call them and then they roughly tend to your needs. Well not all but what you can get out before they leave. They talk to you rudely. I have a broken hip and they push me onto that side and push you down hard. They dontvknow how to place a bed pan and you have to wear an under garment with a liner so you don't get whole bed wet. This is pulled up right into privats so you get a wedgie. None of these aides check you every 2 hours as they should. The nurses are better in the day but aides all shift are unacceptable. You get a menus and as long as kitchen informed no later than 1 hour before meal served you can get alternative. No have tried but no. I have asked for dietary several times but again no. I am Diabetic and they send a regular meal with real sugar and oh the desserts. However Phsyical therapy here is the best. Very caring and patient. While I give the place a 2 star I give therapy 5 stars.

What ever you do, don't go to this place if you have possess any sense of independence. Many of the staff have no respect for the residents: I spent 9+ months there and it was sheer hell. The administrator of assisted living was hands off and had no control of the staff and apparently assumed every thing was ok. One of her med techs, Linda Gibson, appeared to run the place. Linda does not have the social skills to deal with seniors or other staff. In a phrase she is a big fish in a small pond. Her arrogance is unsurpassed. Also among the other most unpleasant humans are Alexis and Kaylee. There are several excellent staff members, but I don't want to name them lest they get in trouble. But I would like to make an exception to praise Naiib, the driver and jack-of-all- trades who is too capable to be there and deserves better treatment than he receives under the current administration. And not to sound like a racist, but the Hispanic staff deserves to be rewarded. The reason I was at Gramercy Court was because I was in rehabilitation is and the physical therapy program in skilled nursing is excellent, and the staff respectful of the residents. This review may no longer be relevant if the new administrator reads the riot act to the staff and informs them of the need to understand the importance of being respectful to the residents which the current "administrator" has not been able to do, and hopefully the parent organization will choose someone that lays down the line to the staff. Most the residents are on SSI and deserve respect. (as the reader might surmise, I am not eligible for SSI.) Lest them reader think I am negative and that every place that I live rates one star, Greenhaven Place in south Sacramento deserves a five star rating. (No negative star ratings are possible((One resident at Gramercy Court Assisted Living said we were treated like inmates.)). I would hope that the parent owner be allowed to read this on your web page ( I noted that other commenters all gave rave reviews so I believe that there is some censorship being done. If not, I would welcome the opportunity provide my observations to the owners or shareholders of the corporation. By comparison, I have gone from hell to heaven.

This was my 1st ever experience with a skilled nursing facility. I had a very bad experience and an excellent experience with some of the staff. MYRA, MILA AND BARBARA are all excellent, caring, beautiful people who go out of their way to take care of you. Their speedy response times and loving manner in which they do each task far exceeded my expectations. I literally could not have been taken care of better, by my own family. Just knowing they were there, took away 99% of my anxiety. Those 3 ladies are angels of mercy and deserve the highest praise possible. Also, the Physical therapists, Cameron, Tanya and one other sassy lady with dark hair, were amazing cheer leaders. They made me want to try harder for myself. Their enthusiasm is contagious. I am so very thankful for their support and strength.

My name is Christy Fifield. I have been here since last Friday following a hip replacement.. I didn't know what to expect but the moment I entered this place was beautiful. Everything was so clean a d fresh. Big shout outs to my nurses Sai and Shameena. They both went above and beyond for me.The pt staff was wonderful too. Amanda, Richard,Abraham and all of the rest were so helpful and encouraging to me. I give this place 10 out of 5 stars

Staff was very nice, they were always helpful and went out of their way to help me, by providing exceptional care and making sure all of my needs were met! They were very compassionate and made my first stay in a nursing facility, extremely comfortable. If I ever have the need to be in a nursing facility again, Gramercy Court would be my first choice! Thank you !!! Patricia Mona J.

The staff were very friendly and helpful during my stay especially two CNA's in particular (Sai Harris and Shameena Khan). They looked after me like I was part of their family. I felt comfortable from the first night. I spent 45 days there. The rehab team was great. Thank you Carlos, Nina and Melina. And thank you Evelyn for caring for my wounds and my spirit. Great team over at Grammercy. I would recommend this facility to anyone.

My mother (88 yrs old) has been to Gramercy Ct skilled nursing facility two times in the past 12 months and both times she received great care and attention. She has been to many skilled nursing places in the Sacramento and Roseville areas and this is the best one by far! The isolation ward was particularly attentive and patient as she settled into her unfamiliar surroundings. My phone calls were always answered and updates were always given. Thank you for a job well done!

My mother didnt get to stay here long, but the staff watched my mother very closely, and saw that she needed more care than they could give. Everyone from Terese, the director, to Linda, the activities coordinator, took a special interest in helping. When I went back to gather moms things, I had many people come by and inquire on my mothers well being.

My brother was taken there after being in Kaiser Roseville for a week because of complications from his CHF. Upon my first visit I noticed that his pants, shirt, shoes, & wallet were missing. I really didnt want to blame anyone there but noticed that the bag that was supposed to contain all these items was gone through. When I noticed a long black hair in it I brought it to the attention of the head nurse. She assured me that everything was tranfered with my brother. But when she heard me say I found a long black hair, she accused me of being raciest. I really didnt appreciate that. So I called The hospital and found that the transports overlooked the items in a closet. My brothers friend and I drove back to Roseville and got them to my brother. By that time it was late and raining. Oh well. At all worked out well. Except I never received an apology from that nurse. But Thats okay, I forgave her and keep her in my prayers.

I stayed there for 3 months recently and had nothing to compare it to. I thought the nursing staff was great and the aides very nice and caring. The food is terrible and offen wasted. They wouldnt have to throw 3, 4 of it away if it was edible. I did hear that they were getting rid of all the RNS and replacing them with LVNs. I think this is wrong.LVNS dont have the experience and education that RNS have.I think will hurt the patients and the reputation of Gramercy
