We couldn’t be happier with our experience at Oakmont. Our Dad lived there for the last year and a half of his life. The staff at Oakmont, from cleaning to kitchen to nursing are all top notch-they became like family to us The facility is spotless, the grounds are beautiful, and I am forever grateful that we found our Oakmont home for dad at the end of his life.

Oakmont has been our extended family for years. I couldn’t have imagined what an incredible role they would play. They have come along side us at every turn. In sickness and in health, in times of celebration & during health challenges. The care and teamwork are evident from the top down. Every staff member and I mean EVERY ONE of them have exceeded our expectations for the daily care and loving attention especially medical care. Small things like greeting us and the resident by name each time we come and go. To activities offered - and community events are tremendous offerings. I am always pleasantly surprised with the one-on-one attention to each resident. Everything they do to make Oakmont home special, is really something how they fuss over details to ensure the ambiance is stellar for both the resident and family. The grounds are always such a beautiful oasis and make each visit a comfortable joyful visit. Every one of our requests have been met with respect and caring attention. I recently toured Oakmont of Redding for my grandmother, and I was beyond impressed. From the moment I walked in, the whole place felt so warm and inviting”exactly the kind of place my grandmother would love. What truly stood out was all of the staff. My Dad and Mom both were at Oakmont in assisted living. They loved the staff that worked there and especially the daily cookies. Even though they were less than 10 minutes away from where I worked and I knew that I could get to them quickly in an emergency it was nice knowing that they were being taken care of by the staff and I didn't need to worry about them. I would highly recommend Oakmont to anyone who is looking for a place for your loved one or if you are needing a higher level of care.

My dad didn't want to leave his home, but he recognized that he was lonely. The Marketing Director was the first selling point--she took extra time to get to know him and his interests to determine if Oakmont would be a good fit. Another selling point was the flexible dining hours. And now that he has lived there for almost 6 months, other great features are the delicious food and warm and friendly staff. He now has 'his regulars' that he joins for meals and is very comfortable in his apartment. This was the right choice for him.

My dad was reluctant, to say the least, about leaving his home and moving into a living center. But he recognized he needed more interaction with people since his wife died and Oakmont did not disappoint. From the very first visit, the marketing director took extra time to get to know dad and his interests and to see if Oakmont would be a good fit. He now has a group of friends that dine together and the staff has been caring, warm and friendly. The delicious food and flexible dining hours continue to be major pluses for him and his apartment is perfect for his needs. Definitely a good choice for him!

Oakmont Assisted Living, Redding’s premier senior facility, has been home for a family member for nearly two years. Starting upstairs with a fabulous view of the Sacramento River and downtown city lights every evening, he has now transitioned to the excellent memory care portion of the building. Throughout his stay, we have witnessed nothing but loving care and concern. From the friendly receptionist in the beautiful lobby to the thoughtful waitstaff in the dining rooms, to the diligent help keeping the rooms clean and tidy. Everyone knows his name and his story. Caring for an elderly parent is a stressful 24/7 act of love. Having a trained team to make sure your family member is safe, comfortable, and happy is your final act of kindness.

My dad has lived at Oakmont of Redding for a little over a year, and we all love it. Everyone is super nice and so amazingly accommodating. The people who work in the reception area are kind, warm, and welcoming. They remember my name, and I never doubt they will take care of whatever I ask! The kitchen/dining room people go above and beyond whenever I visit and have lunch, and the food is great. Everyone is so patient and kind with my dad. His helpers know his needs and spoil him. 🙂 The communication we get from staff is terrific. The grounds are gorgeous, and the views of the river and mountains are spectacular. Highly recommend.

I visited all care homes in Redding. This one surpasses them all by far. Luxury living on the river bluffs with fantastic views. Wonderful caring staff and great residents who are like one big family. Definately the best of redding for your precious loved ones.

This is a very top notch facility. Very nice fancy place with beautiful grounds surrounding for the patients and families of patients to enjoy during visits, walks, or just sitting outside. The staff is very busy trying to make sure that everyone is well cared for. They have top of the line chefs preparing the meals, the homes are very nice and there are different levels of care provided at this facility

Oakmont is an absolutely beautiful place to live. However ive noticed you guys are really short staffed. I also have seen how some residents have been treated in the dementia care unit of oakmont and i feel like they dont get the services they pay for. Everythig is rushed, some of the staff dont even check on the residents or spend real time working to improve the care of their residents or hearing out their needs. Basically it seems like they live in an apartment and walk around the halls all day to be baby sat. Staff seems to get overly frustrated and needs to be trained on how to efficiently work with behaviors and clients who may become more difficult than they can handle. The food is alright, its not very good as advertised and the residents in dementia care are only offered two choices of food which almost seems the same weekly. As far as cleaning goes i have noticed staff does not efficiently clean the rooms such as dusting and wiping down shelves and wiping down baseboards. They have pendant necklaces they wear incase they need something and we timed how long it took staff to respond 2 hours and 33 minutes. That is absolutely not acceptable. Oakmont has so much potential but they need a big improvement. Other than that the views are beautiful and the rooms are spacious. I wouldt put my grandparents here inless i had someone doing 24 hour case through another company. :/ sorry oakmont

I am very impressed with Oakmont of Redding. In taking the tour I felt very at home. The staff is very friendly and attentive to my parents needs. I feel I can rest and be at ease that my parents are taken care of 24/7. The food is spectacular, the views fantastic, the facility has thought of everything you can imagine to make the residents safe, and feel at home. I would highly recommend Oakmont of Redding.

There is not another facility in Redding that comes close to this assisted, memory care, or independent living. One tour of this gorgeous care center and you will see what I mean. The views are peaceful and breathtaking. I was most impressed when one of the staff members Brook stated to me, "This is their home and we are just guests here to help and serve them." Every member has exceptional guest service skills. I would whole heartedly recommend Oakmont of Redding to my closest friends, clients, and family members.
