It was my aunt's birthday, so my family and I went and had lunch with her today. We brought a cake and one of the helpers at Truewood, Chris, cut it for us and even washed the pan before returning it to us. He was very helpful and nice. Much appreciated

Alondra was a great server for our lunch today. My aunt is a resident and 7 of us were there to celebrate her bday with her. Alondra went above and beyond and was quite patient with all our orders. Once again- ALONDRA WAS GREAT

I am so glad I moved to Truewood Pinole because of the friendly staff and many amenities. The food is very good. Sharing conversation over meals is a fun way to meet my neighbors and keep up with what's happening. Just attended a fantastic Oktoberfest at Truewood Pinole with my father and we had a wonderful time! Highly recommend. Update - just attended a wonderful Father’s Day celebration at Truewood! The special luncheon included ribs, bbq Tri-tip and roasted turkey breast, along with yummy sides and delicious apple pie. The staff is very friendly and it’s a wonderful place to live.

Visited today, had lunch and participated in Mothers" Day celebration. My daughter and I were greeted warmly, we were seated with a friendly resident, and the food was delicious. The staff were friendly and helpful.

I’m so happy that we chose Truewood in Pinole for my 87 year old active mom. She is thriving here and is so happy. She especially loves the delicious three home cooked meals per day and exercise classes. I love that she can take their shuttle and get out and explore the world with her new friends. Everybody goes above and beyond to make it comfortable for me. Food is excellent. The aneurism of all staff is very professional to make residents feel at home. I like my apartment where I can see the beautiful gardens. I am very pleased that we can do the Sit & Be Fit exercise to stay in shape. The outings that I’ve gone have been great! I am looking forward to the upcoming auction activity.

Killie and all the other servers are always nice and go above and beyond even with tasks the they are not typically assigned to. I have been living here for a year and a half and I feel pretty good and happy about the food. I also like the variety of activities, meeting new people, and making new friends.

The hills, the turkeys, it just has the perfect surroundings. The residents and staff are so nice and help you, and they give you verbal support. Management is doing a great job. I love the Truewood bus, and all the other amenities. Compared to other facilities, this is by far my favorite. The management team does a great job in being patient, courteous, and kind with everyone. I am a us air force veteran and I am happy to see other veterans here. I wasn’t eating before I came here, and now I am eating three great meals a day.

It’s fun, friendly, warm, and clean. This feels like home. It’s perfect for me. People are friendly. They love to play games and lots of them like to take care of people. There’s always new to learn everyday. I love the food, i’m impressed with that. I love that i can bring my dog here. I’ve been here for almost two years.

I like the food. All servers and volunteers are very polite and very nice. They let you have any choices and as much as you want. The ribs I tried were great. I brought my daughter and she loved it too.

I've been here for two years now. During my stay, I've observed the staff and the help how efficient they are, how helpful they are, and how well they serve the tenants. They not only perform one task, they perform multiple tasks. They're always helpful and energetic. I'd love to show my appreciation to the Truewood staff and administration to let them know that the persons they have working here, are 5-star employees. I'd like to thank every one of them for what they do and they way they do it. They deserve thanks and praise. Because of them, my stay here is wonderful.

I've been here for two months and my stay has been very pleasant. I would recommend it to anybody who is thinking to move here. Staff is outstanding, food is good, and the tenants are very friendly. Maintenance is very well taken care of. Everything a person needs is here. It's geographically convenient. The driver is excellent. The housekeepers do an excellent job. The manager is very helpful and very friendly.

Where do I start? From my heart. Truewood has given me so much Several things upon I would like to touch. I wish that I could take my apartment with me. Such a beautiful view I always see. The staff has made me feel a part of your family. How wonderful a feeling they have given me. Always helpful, always there, always ready to share. As to the residents, what do I say? Friendly, kind, cheerful each and every day. Serving as Resident Council Chair has given me a way to show how much I care. And how the food ever keeps me in a great mood! Coleslaw, veggie burgers, ice cream; all made with love by the Truewood cooking team. Truly for me, living here has been a dream!

On the day of my anniversary, it suddenly occurred to me that this is home to me. So many people have treated me so nice. I am a foodie and I can tell you that I am so thankful for where I am. The cooks have mastered the art of the meat. When I walk into the dining room I feel like I am walking into a resort. The servers have been wonderful. They are very patient and that is a reflection from management. The cooks are always open to suggestions or answering questions. As soon as you walk in, you are greeted by nice residents. It is always very clean. When you have questions, there are many residents who are knowledgeable about lots of stuff and they are willing to take you around and show you different things, and introduce you to other residents to familiarize you with the building. The receptionist at the front desk is the energetic, her vibe is wonderful and contagious.

I took an older client to the Truewood facility in Pinole so he could check it out and see whether it might suit his needs. He lives alone now in a house and needs to downsize and step up to more support in his daily life. Jade Dancel gave him the tour and did a fantastic job showing him what it would be like to join the Truewood community. The prices are quite reasonable for everything you get, including what looks like a delicious daily menu cooked up by the staff. Lots of independence but plenty of opportunities to join in with the other residents. He's not sure what he's going to do yet but he is glad to know that Truewood is there when he is ready to make his move. Thanks, Jade, I really appreciate your kind perceptions and acknowledgments of his situation and needs combined with your warm and low key professional presentation.

From the very beginning of our discussions, Jade was responsive and helpful. She showed us many options, including a video of two apartments she herself shot with her phone. After my sister moved in, Jade continued to be attentive. We are pleased with the accommodations and with the service we are getting.

My cousin lived here for a few years and we visited and were so impressed that we encouraged an older friend to check it out. Our friend just moved in this month! We tell our friends that it is like living at resort, just no pool!

This review is from my mom who moved in the independent living complex at the end of April she loves her apartment and have met many of the residents whom she says are very nice and also the staff is very friendly. She said the food is ok.

I have been a resident here since January 28,2023. Prior to that I lived in an apartment with stairs. When I fractured my back I became home bound, since I moved here I can get around, mingle and make new friends. They have many activities. I participate in the ones I am interested in. The service is very good, there is a thoughtful staff and employees, they go out of their way to accommodate me, the food is very good, with choices at each meal. I feel that I am where I need to be. I highly recommend Truewood by Merrill.

Worlds worst food. Entrees are all processed foods. To night I was served a fillet of fish baked so hard I couldn’t cut with my knife. Along with that were a pile of burnt black fries. Unfortunately this is typical. A neighbor was served a sandwich with bread so stale it broke up when she picked it up. These are typical at both lunch and dinner.
