My mother has been a resident of the Oaks for over 2 years and is really happy there. The staff is always so helpful, kind and patient with any issues that arise. She loves her apartment, especially the huge patio surrounded by lots of trees, bushes, flowers and hummingbirds. She keeps very busy with the many friends she has made since living there playing Bridge, Scrabble, attending exercise classes and may other activities. Our whole family, especially our mother, is really happy with her experience there so far.

The Oaks has got to be one of Pasadenas best kept secrets! You could live in this city for decades and never really know its here, but this place is a wonderful retirement community! Snuggled between the park-like grounds of Las Encinas and the cheery larger retirement community of Monte Vista Grove, The Oaks boasts two large apartment buildings, a gorgeous, traditional dining room, swimming pool and jacuzzi surrounded by well-grown trees, and also a supplemental Assisted Living facility. The apartments are amazingly spacious and each one includes either a kitchen or kitchenette and a decent-sized covered patio or balcony. The food has always been a highlight for me when I visit here - they have a fabulous chef who really pulls out all the stops!
