This is the very best place I have seen for seniors. I arranged for a close friend to live here. She was 94 years old with a sharp mind. She needed almost all care available and was the happiest she had been in years. She needed a wheelchair, dressing, bathing, etc. She had a wonderful helper named Rosie who was adored by Frances and by me. She received care that was the very best. The manager was the absolute top in every way. She was hands-on for all patients. I hope she is still there. She would be extremely hard to replace, She had been there 20 years at the time so has probably taken retirement at this time. I am talking about the CARE that is received first because to me that was the most important thing. As to the facility, beautiful. The food was delicious. When I would visit while she was having a meal the server would say to me won't you let me get your a sandwich. I also ate at her table numerous times so I know how the food was--Great. The dining room is lovely. At this time I am loking for a place for myself, but I moved to the Bay Area to be near my children and grandchildren so Oak Knoll does not seem to be a possibility at this time, but this will determine my choice in my new area although I do not feel I will be able to find any spot this nice for me.

My Mom lived here for the last six years of her life, with advanced dementia. I was continually impressed by the kindness, caring and knowledge of the staff, from the waitpersons in the dining hall (good food), to the caregivers to the activities personnel, to the director. I feel we were lucky and blessed to find this place for her. It's a lovely facility, bright, sunny and clean, and does not have an institutional feel. The courtyard is a wonderful place to hang around. There was a family support group that was very helpful, too. Highly recommended.

i love this job...i work there for almost seven years i enjoyed every moment that i was there ....the staff are wonderful and helpful ,,our BOSS is the best Boss ever......but MOST of all the RESIDENT they are awesome!!i missed them so much and i love them as my families....i will end my message by saying THIS IS NOT JUST A RETIREMENT LIVING BUT IT'S A PLACE WERE YOU CAN TRUST AND CALLED HOME!!!! I'VE BEEN HERE SO I CAN A SURE YOU THAT IT A WONDERFUL HOME TO LIVE IN....
