My experience with Pratik was excellent when he. Was in charge. He manages the group well and keeps things on track. It was greatly improved From 3 years ago under different management and it was good then. More organized with better results. And I made great progress under the management of his team. Always open to new ideas management. Thank you, Pratik.

I am just completing seven weeks as a patient in skilled nursing. I have received excellent care at all levels. The nurses and CNAs are thoughtful and responsive while respecting my individual needs. The medical team, Dr. Hussain, Dr. Maguire and Physician Assistant Nhan Nguyen have met each challenge with expertise and care, always making me feel I am a priority. The Rehab Team led by Pratik tailored my therapy to my needs as I have been recovering from a severe broken leg. I want to single out Vivian and Chanelle for extra thanks as they worked to help me meet my goals. All the staff are friendly and supportive and want them to know how much I appreciate their efforts as I move on to the next phase of my recovery.

I have observed care in at least 15 facilities similar to Vi where friends and family have received care. I would rate Vi Palo Alto as No.1. The Nursing Staff is kind and competent as are the CNAs. Pratick has assembled an outstanding group of Pts and OTs who helped me get ready to manage my life the way I have always done. My family and I find it hard to believe that I have made such progress in a short period of time. Vi is always clean and the staff makes sure that every issue received prompt attention.

Our experience at the Vi has been positive, except for two issues that I think must be with management and should be addressed. The staff is wonderful and works very hard! First, housekeeping does not have enough time to do a thorough job; it seems they have been assigned too little time per residence. The dining room experience offers excellent food but is so rushed that you really cannot enjoy it. No sooner are you seated than your waiter insists that you order. No chance to peruse the menu or have a drink with friends. Many choose to go out for dinner, if they have the means, or to take dinner up to their rooms. Very sad.

My husband & I just moved into our apartment at the Vi. The entire staff at the Vi have been so helpful and friendly especially Enrico Galvez in the sales group. The sales & move -in teams (Joy Flores) were always very responsive to our requests and questions. And, we appreciated the many small thoughtful gestures during the move-in process: gift wrapping our apartment door, welcome tote bag with bathrobes & useful information about the Vi, welcome cheese/meat platter on move-in day, and personal delivery by Enrico of a "welcome to the Vi" basket of treats. We highly recommend living at the Vi. Everyone we have met so far has had an interesting life and we are looking forward to participating in several of the special Vi activities.

We have been helped by Robert Knigge and Joy Flores trmendously throughout the entire processes. We were also advised by our good friends Hsing Kung and Sandy Chau, who are currently Vi residents. The whole experiences were joyful, and we would not hesitate to recommend Vi to our other friends. Special thanks to Robert Knigge who guided us fromn the start to its completion. Thank you Robert, and thank you Vi Palo Alto!

The Independent living part of the Vi was fine, but the Skilled Nursing section, which my father was in for about 6 months after a fall, was not. He was neglected often, left with soiled clothes and sheets for hours, if not overnight. The services that SN claim to provide for their patients, such as a shower twice a week, were only provided if we contacted the staff. Otherwise he would not get a shower. When we complained to the management were were assured that things would change, but they did not. The Vi advertises itself as 5 star, and my father paid a huge amount of money to this company over many years. He chose the Vi, in part, for the long term care they provide. Sadly, the last few months of his life were spent at Skilled Nursing, where he would be left for hours on his own, often unbathed, sleeping in his street clothes.

I am pleased to give the Vi at Palo Alto a high rating. My first experience with the Vi began in 2014 -- when my husband was admitted following his stroke. He lived there with the help of a caregiver for eight years. Now I am preparing to downsize from our family home - I have recently purchased a one bedroom unit at the Vi. Over the years I have been impressed with the facilities, the staff and the many opportunities for seniors to lead full and happy lives. I feel fortunate to be able to take advantage of everything that the Vi has to offer. Sally Herrick

This review is regarding the skilled nursing facility at the Vi. My 82yr old Mom had a stay here very recently. She fractured her hip and needed some healing and rehab before coming home. This is the second time she needed skilled nursing in a years time. The first time she was at 3 different facilities. All of them were highly unsatisfactory! I think they even prolonged her coming home. Not enough phys therapy, food or personal care. The Vi was a welcome change. The food was very good, the staff was great. They helped my mom shower and pretty much anything she needed. What a refreshing experience! . They came when she rang her bell and assisted her when needed. There was good communication with her .Also with me at home. The grounds are very nice . Coffee and cold water is,available for visiting family. So nice that her overall well being matters to them. Our 2 little dogs were able to visit with her. Thank you so much to the staff there , the doctor, nurses ,physical therapists ,and nurses assistants. Social worker and admins treated us all with respect! I can't tell you how great this experience was compared to the last time! What I take from this, most facilities are inadequate. This one is very clean and up to date. No funny smells. The Vi was way beyond my greatest expectations! I would recommend the Vi if you are in need of high quality skilled nursing care . I would send my Mom there again if necessary. Thank you to the Vi!

My Parents moved into Vi not long after it opened. I’m leaving this review, as they both passed in 2016. Vi treated them right, and family right, during and after their long lives were over. I am grateful. Even readying their “owned” apartment for return was as painless and straightforward as possible.Vi is pricey. What a place if you can swing it. It’s beautiful, luxurious, and relentlessly cleaned and maintained. The food ranges from good to outstanding. Visitors enjoy shared meals in elegant surroundings. The Bistro offers well-prepared simple fair, at below-market prices.Whether a broken hip on the mend, or worse, the subsidized adjacent skilled nursing is a marvelous way to recover medically, in comfort, with good care, close to loved ones, residing next door (Visiting is easy).Vi staff is dedicated. They learn everybody’s quirks and dietary requirements (dining makes that essential). Caring and cheerful. Mutual respect is the norm.Vi is a community where most residents enjoy an active lifestyle, intellectually, socially, and physically (quality gym & indoor pool). After a decade and a half of exposure, I felt compelled to leave this positive review.
