Our mom has been a resident in memory care at Astoria since July of this year. We have been quite pleased overall. The staff is so caring and helpful - they have been there to help mom every step of the way. They have also helped us navigate our way through home health and hospice. It was a very difficult decision to place mom in memory care, however I would definitely recommend Astoria. Update: Mom went to be with the Lord last week. I was able to stay and not leave her side for the last 8 days. The care staff at Astoria took such wonderful care of me and mom - treated us like family with such love and compassion. Thank you Astoria family.

Astoria gave us peace of mind while my mother in law was a resident there for three years. The staff is very accommodating and take very good care of the residents. I highly recommend this facility. It is clean and they have lots of activities for the residents and their families.

I just pulled into Oakdale, I left South Lake Tahoe at 5:30am! Cindys Restaurant was my first stop after Placerville, to catch up on my coffee and guess who was pulling into the parking lot at the same EXACT time??? You guessed it, Astoria Senior Living (youll notice the bus in the lower left hand corner of the picture) was also bringing the residents for breakfast! They take their residents on more outings than any other community I know and what lucky folks!!!

My Father in law has been there for about a year and s half. We Are so happy that he has settled in and has really nice neighbors to eat with and visit. He enjoys the field trips on the bus and they are always going fun places. The home cooked meals are delicious and we enjoy coming and joining him sometimes for meals. We especially love to come to the holiday dinners as the family can meet there and join him for Special events. The staff and caregivers are so loving and kind and we so appreciate all they do to help meet his needs!

Spring is in the air at Astoria! A dainty pink wreath on the door welcomes you, fresh flowers everywhere, and sweet Easter decorations up and down the hallways. The best part is the staff. The are always kind, attentive and always have a smile and a hug for you. Today was the Easter brunch for residents and their families. All the people you pass in the hallways, you get to know better. The food was delicious and I have one word to describe the people who work at Astoria . . . Kindness. What beautiful and bright place to leave your loved one. Boy, I was new to this and hadnt been in a senior living home since my grandmother in the 1970s. This place is wonderful compared to the ones existing in her town up north. Ok, sure there are little kinks you have to get out while your family, loved one living there and the staff have to iron out but mostly I am so happy that our friend suggested that we check out the place. Her husband was just placed there and then I decided that this was the place for my father. It is never easy for them who cant live by themself or with you anymore so it is an adjustment placing them with strangers but meds are delivered on time, the place is understaffed and you understand when you work in big corporations that place stress on the rest of the staff to work harder so they make more profit. It is organized and every staff member is polite, sweet and responsible. My dad complains the dinner meal isnt tasty enough but they dont have all their taste buds anymore. Also, very smart that each person there has their own room. Very Important to have privacy even if the rooms are a little small. Thank you for being good and responsive most of the time as the staff are very busy. I hope if I live that long I will live in a place like this. St. Moritz is not my current last name but I am Kathy. Thanks again staff. Your hard work is very appreciated.

Clean facility the seniors are respected and taken care of kindly and lovingly. They are given healthy food and visitors are always invited to join the seniors during lunch. They are taken outside daily during good weather. They take the group of seniors on trips quite often. 5 stars

Where very happy with the staff and acomadations they provide for my father in-law. We feel that he is safe and in good hands. I feel that even my father in- law likes it there. We visited many places and by far Astoria is the best place.

Astoria is a blessing to have in our community. As our love ones need a place to call home later in life we are very blessed to have this place not only for the resident but for family to stay close. The employees treat patients like family. Food is great also. They do a lot in there van. A very big plus.

My two children got the opportunity to work with the staff well their grandma was there neither of them have Facebook but asked for me to please post on Astoria Senior Living they both said that the staff was so loving and caring that they did not ever think there would be a home like this for elderly people. They I wanted to thank you for your care that you had given to their grandmother Betty Squier .And I wanted to thank you for your support you gave my children in a difficult time. They told me if they had to ever go to a nursing home they would hope they could be put in Astoria Sennior LivingGod bless you all for the service you give.
