I highly recommend Brookdale! My mom is 91 years old and had her elbow reconstructed. She was at another skilled nursing facility which was horrific. I could not tolerate the place where she was at! I quickly search and found Brookdale literally in my area. Eden (administrator for skilled nursing) admitted her promptly. Cheryl the social worker was top of her game. Anna the nurse and Lee the nurse were wonderful! There are so many people who I do not know their names but there are a blessing! The facility is clean, sterilized and the food was superb. Brookdale is caring and loving place. I highly recommend Brookdale!!!

Initially we were greeted by Neil J. and then introduced to Karen D. Karen gave us a tour of the facility because Neil was busy. Two caretakers were waiting at the first room model to greet us. A lovely touch! Neil joined us to complete the tour and go over the details of residency. We were so impressed with everything we made the decision to move my mother in. She had a choice of a few rooms and is completely satisfied with her choice. It is also nice to know that if and when the time comes they also have a skilled nursing facility she can move into.

My dad was there for 6 short weeks he went from OK to death 2 to death and under your care He fell several times was jaundice but was never told to my mother that he had felt fallen. My dad was a World War II veteran hero. You did not treat him with respect or care for him in the 6 short weeks weeks he was there. When I came to visit him on the 15th of May he was screaming murder I'd never heard my father scream like that my whole life I'm 60 years old he was crying out loud being abused. My mother and I came in I was able to finally calm him down with my mother's touch and my rubbing on his shoulder my dad was scared for his life. My father's fell several times but you were either unable to or did not respond to and did not tell my mother he fell which is abuse he fell several times he was bruised from the bottom of his knees all the way up to the middle of his back purple, It's not to mention you you tied him down you held him down his wrist or had purple On purple on blue on purple on red almost bleeding where you had restrained my father. You should be ashamed of yourself and you should never do that to an American hero like my father who was born in 1924 fought World War II for this country only to die, We pulled him out of there on May 17th where he died shortly after on May 21st when he left your facility he was able unable to speak eat drink and he was jaundice he had not eaten in A-day and a 1/2 you never inform my mother of this. My father deserves the best care and you guys abused hurt him I'd never heard my father scream so loud on the 15th in all the years I've known him for 58 years I'm 60 my dead nerrying shed a tear with that day he was scared death, We were not allowed into the facility because they roll your patients out to the front where you could visit them another falsity of coronavirus but this day was extremely cool they let us in their mistake mistake Upon entry I heard somebody screaming screaming like I'd never heard before I told my mother at the time I said oh my God it's that dad's Room I said his roommate is suffering When I came in close to if I value it what was happening I realised that was my dad's voice and I became very aggressive and I went in to see what was happening it was my father. He was screaming like I've heard nobody else's scream it sounded like a banshee and pain like he was being slaughtered he cried like I'd never heard my father ever in my life. My mother and I approached him I rubbed his back while my dad my mom rubbed his hand we got him settled down they were able to push him out into the visiting Room that we were never allowed to visit before. At this time my dad says you don't understand what's going on you just don't know my dad was incoherent he was hurting but he had moments of clarity he said my mom asked him is this from your followed home which happens 6 weeks earlier. My dad said you guys don't know I'm not a child I'm not a child and I don't lie II you just don't understand what's going on at that point I told my mom something's going on and I looked down at his wrists he was bruised from his wrist To his armpits He had sleeves on so they could cover up his bruises. I will never forget my dad's screams for help when he'd never done that in his whole life even through World War II it was born in 1924 and he dies, Thank God we brought him to Holy Cross hospital in Mission Hills San Fernando Valley where we could put him on morphine for once he was struggling and after 3 days, My dad died not suffering anymore because we finally relieved him of all may I say that the last 2 days Is at Brookdale Northridge was the last time my dad said any words to us to acknowledge us after that he never ate he never talked they couldn't feed him and he was chaundous when my mother went back the next day we ordered to get him out of there to save his life he went to Holy Cross he never regained consciousness he died on the 21st of May. My family and I are heartbroken about the care he was received from this place that was so called a care unit. Please don't ever send your your loved ones to this place Brookdale in Northridge it's a sure fire death and they don't give a care about It's those most precious to us that we sent in their care because they say they're gonna do the right thing and take care of them my father was abused he was bruised from head to tail. Only God knows what happened but you know what, even god frowned on that day. I beg you never send your loved ones to that hellhole in Northridge Brookdale it's a death sentence. No we wish we would kept dad at home or we could have loved dawn for another 6 weeks and had had our time with him took care of him made sure he was not in pain and loved on him but he was tortured and abused in this place called Brook Dale Northridge, Please don't trust this place to leave your love ones we made the grave mistake is grave mistake. God-bless you all my name is Kenneth John bowling junior my dad is Gerald Gerald G litz. He was my hero he was a good father grandfather great grandfather a hero of World War II. And my mother's greatest love they had a love like no other, Please don't subject your loved ones to the death sentence my dad was given at Brookdale Northridge, California

Best nursing facility ever! Both of my parents have been living in the skilled nursing facility for almost 3 months now. I am so appreciative of the excellent care each have received. Of course the facility is beautiful and clean, but more importantly the nurses and staff are attentive and caring. Ive never seen a staff member standing around, but instead all busy with patients or getting medications. After 3 months I feel like I really got to know how well the facility operates and even became friends with the staff. The Physical Therapy department is outstanding, with purpose and care. Both my parents had emergency issues arise during their stay, but the entire staff was quick to respond and access. Dr. Michail is just the most caring man. Always returned my calls and explained everything. His concern for my parents well being was evident. He knew when to seek hospital care during changes in my parents health.... and I know it saved their lives. The Director of Clinical Services is amazing. She was on top of everything. She was so accommodating to all my parents health needs and she never forgot to fulfill a request I made. She handled her staff with kind direction and created a calm environment while tending to the hectic needs of the patients. Brookdale Northridge took a hectic, scary time in our lives and performed above my expectations and today my parents are going home.... this facility slowly, patiently and carefully improved my parents quality of life!

I really like what this senior community has to offer. First off as you walk in you really feel an at home warm environment, the layout and design of the place is beautiful. Second, the staff is amazing. From the people like (Julia, Nimisha, Gabriel, and Kristis) coordinating your love ones arrival and stay with Brookdale, the nurses who are the ones making sure they are well taken care off, the physical therapy rehab center they have set up here is will ensure speedy recovery, down to the house keeping. Everyone is very warm welcoming and very professional.

I would like to let everyone know what a terrific Place Brookdale of Northridge. I have experience there Assisted Living with my mom for several years. They were terrific, the staff still stays in touch with my family even though she passed a couple years ago. I now have my dad over at skilled nursing and I cannot tell you what a great job theyve done with him. Their physical therapy is one of the best and their caregiving is top-notch

Recently I was put in a position new to me. My mom had fallen and broken her arm, and had spent 3 very sedentary weeks hospitalized. She was very weak and in need of skilled nursing. To say the least, mom was none too happy about the idea of being away from home, and was very skeptical wed find a place acceptable to her and her extremely particular standards for care and cleanliness.

Dad has been there for nine months and loves it. He feels so welcome and included that he says they are his family. At 97 years old, he was hesitant about leaving his home of 66 years. But, after a week he said make it happen and became a resident. One word of warning, the food is great, so he has to really watch his weight. The staff is outstanding.

My moms broken hip required skilled nursing care and we both have been so pleased with the staff and care at Brookdale Northridge! The experience was made so much easier by the warm and caring staff. Their rehabilitation team and nursing team are excellent! The food was tasty with lots of options and the grounds are lovely and home-like. Mom was always comfortable throughout her stay which included managing her diabetes. She is preparing for her return home and Brookdale is taking us through each step of transition. We are so grateful for their wonderful support.

I arrived at Brookdale - Northridge four days out of knee replacement surgery and spent four weeks there...Nurses, therapists and staff were very efficient throughout and caring, professional and of good cheer... All very necessary for a speedy recovery... I dont wish the need for rehab for anyone.... but if you must... this is the place.

I cant say enough about how wonderful this facility is! They have taken extraordinary care of my aunt. The staff is truly amazing, the care and concern that they have for each and every resident and family member is unique and they always go the extra mile (without being asked!) You can rest easy knowing your loved one is well cared for. The peace of mind is such a relief, no more worrying and visits are a pleasure. Take a tour with Kristis and sparky (the little maltese mascot) and you will not look elsewhere for quality care. Check out all the smiling faces on the residents and staff it is the best measuring stick of Brookdales success

Brookdale Northridge Review
February 2016
Our loved one lives at Brookdale Northridge, Memory Care. She has a beautiful room with her furniture and all her memories around her. Her caregivers keep her busy with events such as concerts and lectures. There is a hair salon that she enjoys. They have dining areas where she is served good meals of her choice. When we visit her the caregivers provide us with a welcoming, loving atmosphere. Most of all they provide her with constant excellent care, and they provide us with peace of mind when we are unable to be with her. We love Alamary and staff!

As a professional working in the healthcare field, you often see the ugly side of healthcare, and can easily spot the difference between an establishment whos there for the money, and an establishment whos there that really care about their residents. I can honestly say that Brookdale Northridge is the latter and you will feel the staffs energy and good vibes as soon as you walk in.
