Reviews The Oaks at Nipomo

Debra and the staff at The Oaks at Nipomo were very gracious when we toured the property. The dinner was delicious and the grounds beautiful!

We love The Oaks at Nipomo!! My dad moved into The Oaks a little over a month ago and has not looked back due to the caring staff, engaging activities, and delicious food. We anticipated the transition into assisted living to be difficult because he had lived in his home for almost 40 years, but the transition was extremely smooth. He is thriving with the assistance provided. Having his meals provided (and no dishes!), housekeeping done once per week, no utility bills, and medications administered has alleviated so much stress and is enabling him to live well. He calls The Oaks "The Land Cruiser" because he feels like he's on a cruise each day! His favorite activity is Bingo with Neeta, but he has also been enjoying Bible study and looks forward to partaking in the assistance the Wellness Center has to offer. His absolute favorite part, though, is the people. Debra, Ron, Crystal, Lori, and Neeta are five star! I cannot thank this team enough for the care they are providing my dad in his elder years. He is living with dignity, and I have a peace that I haven't felt in years. I highly recommend The Oaks. Don't look anywhere else!

My widowed aunt and I are exploring residential options while she is still living mostly independently at home. We are in the early stages of information gathering so I took her to visit a few senior communities while in town. We were warmly greeted by Debra at The Oaks who gave us a tour of the property. Debra explained all about the community enthusiastically. She truly seemed to be proud to work there and engaged with the residents during the tour. I got a good vibe at The Oaks. It was bright, airy, cheerful and lively. The residents I saw seemed very happy and enjoying one another's company. It is a newer property and appears fresh and well-maintained. If my aunt can be convinced to downsize and give up her 180 degree view of the ocean, The Oaks would be a contender in this region.

The application process was very thorough and professional. I had such confidence in their complete assessment of the person entering. They walked me through every step with politeness, patience and positivity. A great attitude towards residents. Now that she is living at The Oaks, it's clear they know what they are doing and do it well!

We just moved my father in law to the Oaks assisted living in Nipomo. Debra Benitez, the Community Relations Director, was wonderful in coordinating his move in and the smooth transition from his skilled nursing facility. Debra made this all happen in less than two weeks and he is now receiving the needed care he needs from all of the wonderful staff. His mobility has improved greatly since he moved in and we are so thankful for all of the staff assisting him and helping him to regain his strength and mobility. The interior of the Oaks is very modern and decorated very nicely and the exterior has beautiful gardens and well maintained and landscaped grounds which makes it nice for all of the residents and visitors.

My brothers and I recently moved our parents into The Oaks at Nipomo, and we are all very happy with the decision. It was tough to move them out of their house, but now they don't have to cook and they have so many social activities. I was surprised how nice the place is, it reminds me of a modern hotel. Best facility like this on the Central Coast!

I have a close friend who has been residing at the Oaks for several months, and they plan to stay for a few more months while they address their medical and physical issues through primary care. Throughout my life, I've had family members in various care facilities across the state, some with positive experiences and others not so great. However, during my visits to the Oaks to see my friend, I've been thoroughly impressed by the team of highly professional and friendly individuals who provide exceptional care to the residents. The apartments are lovely, and the common areas such as the dining space, lounges, and entrance are consistently maintained in a clean and welcoming manner. Honestly, I've never come across such a well-managed facility where the staff genuinely prioritizes the well-being of the residents and takes pleasure in their work under effective management.

I researched several retirement places for my 95-year-old mom and was extremely impressed with The Oaks at Nipomo. As soon as my mom it ready we it will be our first choice. I was particularly impressed with Debra Benitez, the Community Relations Director who answered all of our question during our tour and was available for additional questions after our tour. I can highly recommend the Oaks at Nipomo and if you have a family member that would like to retire in a fantastic place, give Debra Benitez a call and I am sure she will take great care of you.

My mom has been at the Oaks for a few months and, while we love everyone there, I just want to call out 2 people in particular. Neeta for her boundless energy and kindness and Heidi because she just gets stuff done!!! Thanks to everyone!!!

My dad has been at the Oaks for a few years now - originally on the assisted living side and now in Compass Rose. His need are always met and the staff is extremely caring and attentive. There are lots of activities for the residents and the atmosphere is calm and friendly. It gives me peace of mind knowing he is there and being cared for so well.

Mom has been at The Oaks in Nipomo / Compass Rose Memory Care for just over a year and we couldn't be happier. Staff does a good job of balancing needs with tender loving care. Jay, the Activities Director, is deeply connected to the residents and keeps a watchful eye as if they were her own family. Truly appreciate The Oaks at Nipomo!

The best. My dad has lived here for just over a year. It was one of the hardest decisions we've ever had to make, but the Oaks was absolutely the right place. The are kind, attentive, proactive and engaging. They treat my dad with dignity and have truly been a lifesaver. My dad is looking and acting 10 years younger now that he's here. THANK YOU Aaks staff! I am forever grateful.

We have been looking at places for my mother to live in the near future. The Oaks has done EVERYTHING to assist us in this endeavor. They were going to allow my mother to stay there for 2 months in a lovely room they had fixed up for her. Unfortunately, COVID reared its ugly head again and my mom wasn't able to stay there. The Oaks is VERY careful about the health of its patients and wouldn't take a chance on my mother's health. I VERY much appreciated that. My mother did tour The Oaks though once the quarantine was lifted and says she wants to come back in the near future to possibly live there!

I wanted to write a review on behalf of The Oaks of Nipomo to say how much I appreciate all they have done to help my mother transition to assisted living. Our familys decision to move our mother to assisted living was overwhelming emotional and completely daunting. From the moment we contacted The Oaks of Nipomo we were greeted with the friendliest staff imaginable. Our experience with Cheryl the Community Relations Director was WONDERFUL and she meticulously guided us through, just what we needed! Everyones smile (even behind a Covid mask) was so reassuring. They led us every step of the way with impeccable professionalism. Although mom misses her home, she is happy and never lonely. She loves the food, especially the desserts. She states all the staff is especially nice, she is meeting new friends, and her apartment is lovely!
