We just moved my mother-in-law here!!! Everyone has been so nice, helpful and supportive!!! We moved her furniture from Florida and used a POD, which went into the employee’s parking area and the employees, especially Adam and Dina, helped make it happen and let us use their dolly. They have been a big help in making my mother-in-law comfortable and happy!!!

I've had the pleasure of meeting Dina Fegrino at various networking events in the past. Having talked and met with her several times, she always carried a very positive attitude and very passionate about her work and the performance of her staff at Atria Newport Plaza. So given the tour, they showed me their 18 bed memory care unit and their 100 bed assisted living facility- both under the same roof, separated by a secure door to allow staff and residents with accompaniment in and out. No need to worry about elopement. Im pretty impressed with the cleanliness with the place and how orderly everything is. Any resident that needs help with their ADLs has a caregiver in charge which respond in a very quick and timely manner- if they need to walk around or transfer and they need help- that is readily available. Their rooms are pretty cozy with generous amount of space to go around and have some of the residents own stuff in the room. They a theater room for up to 24 seats as you can see pictured. Movie nights are every 7pm and anyone can join in on the fun. The activities are posted all around the facility's hallway and being social is all part of their recreation and development. Visiting hours are between 8am and 8pm. If you want to join your loved one for a meal, they have a private dining all which looks like can fit up to 16 people. You can order from their menu or off the menu too for a fee. They also have a sizeable cafe for smaller groups and a library for smaller gatherings. Their salon is something to brag about too- it looks and feels like an actual salon too with showering stations and spa chairs to match. Overall, it's thanks to Dina's welcoming personality and positive attitude that makes me believe that this is a good home for your loved ones.

I stop by every few weeks to visit my grandmother and I’m always greeted nicely by the receptionist at the front desk. Alexa from the front desk is always super helpful with helping us get everything situated for my grandmother. Jackie the med tech is also very helpful and answers any questions we have regarding her medication. The care staff are always very helpful and willing to walk me to her apartment. I’m glad that she’s in a community that keeps her active and busy. We are overall pleased and very happy to have found this place for her.

Caring and Compassionate! My parents have been residents of Atria Newport Plaza for 3.5 years. My parents have have made great connections with their fellow residents as well as staff. This past month we needed to move my father to memory care after an extended hospital stay. Myra Aragones, Executive Director took it upon herself to insure a smooth transition. Atria Newport Plaza stepped up provided the additional care my father was needing. For that, I will be eternally grateful. Atria is awesome!!! I work with the culinary department and to be one of the few to receive a COVID vaccine is a blessing in disguise. Now the community has some sense of safety and security with this pandemic. I am glad to be part of the team that serves our residents everyday and practicing safety is our number one focus. The culinary department also has a big emphasis on teamwork and I can confidently say I am glad to come to work everyday working with amazing staff and residents.

Having resided here at Atria Newport Plaza for over three years....including through our Pandemic circumstances, I can only say that it has been a Godsend to ALL of us. Had it not been for our Executive Director Myra Aragones and her wonderful Staff our lives could have been very different. They put smiles on our faces every day and laughter into the atmosphere. They kept each day filled with activities and interest and when lockdowns were in effect, there was always someone to check on each and every one of us. The Front Desk and Offices were alive and efficient...the kitchen and Dining Staff always arriving with delicious menus, the medical department working overtime and Miss Diane in the Sales department always was willing to answer questions regarding new interested future residents. The machine never stopped and they accomplished it all with care and big hearts. My family appreciated the informational literature they were sent every week as it gave them connection when they could not see us. Housekeeping kept our rooms clean and the laundry done. All in all, the Plaza is a very special place to be. No matter where my life takes me in the future, I am happy to have been here now and for the last three years with such kind and wonderful individuals.....both Residents and Staff. This place has kept me well fed and with a nice roof over my head. Ive been here over a year now and I enjoy all the hardworking staff. I get plenty of help when I need it. Typically, I need most help with technology and Edgar helps me out a lot with my iPad and teaches me plenty on how to use zoom for my virtual music gigs. Id like to also not how blessed by virtue the community has been to receive the vaccine from the community during these hard times. They have kept us safe, happy, and positive.

Before the lockdown it was nice to meet all the pleasant people. Everyone is memorable and there are plenty of programs for residents to do like bingo, exercise, and trivia that I like. Since our last post; our mother has passed. The care for her was very special; and she was loved and cared for. They provided guidance since hey have experience with people who are at their end of life. They were respectful and loving to us; the extend family. We are so happy she was there for the last two years. She was well cared for. We have my mom Atria memory care for almost 2 years. We are extremely happy, as well as she is. My siblings looked at many options, but Atria fit our and moms needs. The staff deserve a shout out, for the thoughtfulness and special care. In the throngs of COVID, we know absolutely that she is in a safe place. They have great protocols, so we know she is protected as much as possible. The memory care section, had caring and warm approach. The staff smile and I have never heard a negative word, yelling or disrespect towards my mom or us. They go the extra mile to have timely and communications, include text, emails and facetime. I would say that a visit to the location is worth the effort. My mom has her own private room furniture and she acts happy. Its more than we expected, we are happy and believe we have her in the best place for her needs.

I moved my Mom in Atria Newport Plaza at the end of 2019. This was my first experience with Assisted Living and with taking over my Moms affairs. We looked at a couple of different places and my Mom liked the feel of Atria the best. I have nothing but positive things to say about Atria, every person that I have come in contact with - Dianne, Sales Director, Deserie, Resident Services Director, Claudia, Director Memory Care, and Myra, Executive Director, and all the various med-techs and other aids have been nothing but kind, caring, professional and during this pandemic, SAFE. I think that Atria Newport Plaza is the only Assisted Living facility in Orange County that hasnt had a resident get Covid-19! Atria is run very professionally, but the care feels personal, it feels like the staff really knows and cares about your person. Due to some health issues I have needed to move my Mom to a different facility, but I made sure that she would be able to move back to Atria should that become possible again. If you need to move a friend or family member to a Senior Living facility, you should check out Atria and hopefully the stringent measures required to keep everyone healthy will loosen up and they can get back to their afternoon concerts and outings.

I toured this community in December to prepare myself to whats out there for my parents when the time comes that they need assistance. and was introduced to the Executive Director, Myra who gave me a grand tour of the community. Although my parents are not ready to move to an Assisted Living yet, it is nice to know that there is a place for them to go to whenever they are ready. The place is clean and odor free. The 1 bedroom that was shown to me is spacious and modern. The Executive Director introduced me to some of the staff and residents and they all seem friendly and happy. I was offered to stay for dinner by the Executive Director who is preparing dinner for the residents which Im glad I did. The food was amazing, they served shrimp cerviche on tostada. I always thought food in institutions are bland but this place proved me wrong. This community deserves 5 stars

I visited this beautiful Assisted Living/Memory Care community this week. I was so impressed with the warm welcome I received when I walked in. The community is bright and clean and the location is very convenient to Hoag Hospital, shopping and freeways. I met several team members that took the time to stop and say hello. I can tell that she really enjoys being the Executive Director and has put together a great team to include [name removed] and the caring team in Life Guidance. I toured this community to find placement for my mother in law. Although the parking was challenging ( and so is the rest of Newport Beach), I was able to find one after I did another turn. The community is vibrant. I was greeted by happy people. The bistro was full of residents waiting for their turn for their massage. Although my tour was unannounced, the Executive Director immediately gave me a tour of the community. I was introduced to a resident who said she is so happy living in the community then another resident said the same thing when we got to the elevator. The hallway is very clean, no odor. She showed the model room and it is spacious enough for my mom in law... having a walk in closet is a plus. I asked about activities and I was shown the activities calendar. I was told that the activities director will assist my mom with scheduling doctor’s appointment since they have 1 driver for 90+residents. I like the fact that someone will assist my mom with doctor’s appointment since she gets overwhelmed with this. They have a bistro with fresh fruits, variety of hot and cold beverages, pastries, sandwiches, Etc. and it’s free for the residents. With the very little time I spent touring the community, I felt a positive vibe from the staff and residents. They are all happy. This community is well managed and the 1st choice for my mom in law.

Toured this community and I am impress with what I’ve seen. I was greeted by happy residents and staff. The bistro was busy with residents doing activities. The community is vibrant. They said the bistro food is free for the residents. They have fresh fruits, pastries and variety of refreshments. I am looking for a vibrant assisted living for my father and this community did not fail. The activity calendar is filled with activities and couple of residents told me that they are happy Living in the community because it’s like one big happy family. I observed the name tags of the staff and I’ve seen longevity which means management must be treating them well. I was invited to stay for lunch. I ordered a cheeseburger and I must say it is one of the best. The 1 bedroom is huge and it has a walk in closet. It comes with microwave and refrigerator. The grounds are clean , the people are nice and the community gave me good feeling.
