I felt I should do 2 month update, after we mom moved cross country where she was living independently for 26 years after my dad passed. Ellie’s move into Heritage Point was made possible with a lot of hard work from Georgianna Mender and Lorena Arriage and the entire maintenance staff who treat the residents like family! I visit often, I swim in the pool, I accompanied my mom on a recent Beach BBQ outing it was a blast. I see my mom thriving, happy, laughing at happy hour ! It’s not her end but her beginning! It’s important mom is safe and well taken care she definitely is . I also can depend on Heather to help arrange her doctor appointments and health care she is wonderful ! Mom has an amazing doctor Mohamed Al-Sedek she adores he comes to her room at Heritage Pointe to see her. My mom is never in her room, she is racing around HP even going to the gym for the first time, playing bingo watching shows she has more of a social life than I do! As you can probably tell I have a very close relationship with my mom, we are best of friends, we talk about everything! When she said she is happy to be here I knew I made the best move for her, I wish only from being there so often loved ones don’t wait so long this will give you and your family more independence. My father lived at Heritage Pointe until just short of his hundredth birthday. He was glad he had a home with people who were age and ability similar.. he thought the food was good (not what my mother made but still good) and he found friends and good socialization there. He wasn’t in to the Jewish services or programs but that was the way he lived for the preceding 50 years. He liked the activities and the transportation. It was convient to visit Highly recommended.

Heritage Pointe is truly AMAZING! My parents came to Heritage Pointe 5 years ago. They have literally been treated like ROYALTY! My father spent 5 years at Heritage Pointe. They provided Dad with wonderful care, filled his days with offsite and onsite activities. They stressed family engagement and through care programs, Dad lived to be 991/2. I highly recommend Heritage Pointe; it is a wonderful Senior Living Home. I’m thankful they were able to provide my Father a life with longevity and joy.

The facility is beautiful and modern with wonderful positive energy, the people who work there are all so friendly and helpful, the activities and entertainment are top-notch, and there is a warmth and homeyness that you just can’t find at so many of the other residences of this type. Our mom and late dad moved into Heritage Pointe many years ago. They were very sociable people their whole lives, so they enjoyed the many varied activities offered by HP. Dad swam in the pool and used the gym, staying physically active until shortly before he died at the age of 101. Mom, too, was very active until just a couple of years ago. We moved her into HP’s Sage Living unit where she is mostly confined to her bed. We are so lucky knowing Mom gets all the extra care she needs in Sage. When she turned 100 in November [2024], HP’s warm wonderful staff and caregivers gave her a big birthday party; all of her friends from Assisted Living joined in the celebration. I cannot express the gratitude my 3 siblings and I are to Heritage Pointe, knowing that our mom continues to receive great care. We love her caregivers and HP’s staff!

This review is for the care my aunt received at Heritage Pointe. The transition for an older loved from their home of many years to a new home in a community can be difficult. The staff at Heritage did everything possible to make that easier for both my aunt and myself. In particular I’d like to mention Beth Kaplan McCally, the Sales Director who walked my aunt through the options available at Heritage as well as literally walking her through the facilities and introductions to staff. Beth’s ongoing commitment (even after all the papers were signed) to making sure my aunt was well settled and introducing her to other residents and directors there meant that during times when I couldn’t be there to help my aunt there was always someone to help her out or reassure her. (For which I am truly grateful). Regarding facilities, I visited there often and found the residential and common areas to always be very clean and accommodating. There are so many spaces for socializing (library, gym, pool, coffee shop, etc.), which is really so important throughout our lives but especially when we’re older and making a transition to a new style of living. I can genuinely recommend Heritage Pointe to anyone who is looking for an assisted living community for themselves or their loved one(s).

Erin Palposi, the Executive Director, has helped us through our transitions and is a kind and caring professional. My mom loves Heritage Pointe, and we feel grateful that she’s so well taken care of. Heritage Pointe welcomes those of all faiths, but they do have a synagogue in the building and a wonderful Rabbi.

I can't recommend Heritage Pointe highly enough. It was a difficult transition for my mother-in-law to leave her home of many years, but after exploring many other places, this warm and welcoming assisted living community truly felt like a second home. The caring staff”including supportive caregivers, a friendly front desk team, responsive maintenance workers, attentive food staff, an incredible gym instructor, and skilled medical technicians”consistently meet residents’ needs with warmth and expertise. What stands out most is the vibrant community life. My mother-in-law has made wonderful friends and is actively engaged in a variety of activities and cultural experiences. We are incredibly grateful for the love and support she receives every day. Thank you, Heritage Pointe, for being such an amazing place!

My mother-in-law has been a resident at Heritage Pointe for the last three years. Her care team has been so helpful and supportive that it has made living far away in Australia so much easier for my wife and myself. A TRULY COMPASSIONATE AND SUPPORTIVE ENVIRONMENT As a healthcare rep. I visit numerous Sr. Living Communities. I cannot say enough good things about Heritage Pointe in Mission Viejo and the exceptional care provided by their staff. From my first visit, it was clear that this community isn’t just a place to live- it’s a place where residents are treated with dignity, respect and genuine compassion. The staff truly go above and beyond in making every resident feel like family. Whether it’s their nurse Juli, who takes the time to understand individual health needs, the activity coordinator, Myra who creates meaningful programs, or the housekeeping and kitchen staff who are always kind and attentive. There is a sense of warmth and care that fills the entire community. There is a real effort to build personal connections and create a supportive, family-like atmosphere. It’s clear that everyone who works here is deeply invested in the well-being of the residents. I began volunteering at Heritage Pointe 10 years ago, and that experience has enriched my life immeasurably, even more so when I later became a member of their Board. Each time I walk through the front doors and see the warm smiles of the residents and staff, I am enveloped in a feeling of "home"... and indeed the staff and management do consider this to be each resident's home. I choose to spend much of my volunteer time in support of this very special place because I witness firsthand their dedicated, resident-oriented approach to caring for the whole person and enhancing the life of each resident at every level. I truly wish that my own parents had been able to call Heritage Pointe their home.

My husband and I have been Residents of Heritage Pointe for over ten years now. For us it has meant a meaningful life every day: a wide variety of activities to choose from while having all our needs addressed. Add to that three full meals per day with lots of choices. This is a wonderful Jewish Independent and Assisted living home for my mother. She recently moved here from another senior living setup which wasn't meeting her needs as she ages (she is 96). The warm and friendly staff really care about the residents. The residents themselves have a welcoming group that welcome in new people into the community. The cuisine is kosher and excellent. I used to feel like we had to go out to get a good meal when she was at her other living situation. Here, she really enjoys the food, so going out isn't really necessary. The food is fresh, healthy and served very nicely by courteous staff. There are different activities and they are varied enough to suit different tastes. My mother loves games and there are many opportunities to play. They also have a pool for aqua-aerobics. There is a lovely outside patio where there are barbeque grills and events held outside. There are several rooms where different activities take place and when walking through the lobby, straight ahead as you walk in is a sanctuary for Shabbat services and other Jewish services as well. They have their own rabbi. The apartments are nicely appointed with large closets in the one bedrooms. When moving, we noticed she really did not need to get rid of anything from her other smaller 1 bedroom apartment because this one was generous with a nice patio overlooking the garden. Other upstairs units have a balcony. This property in general is more than just a cut above the rest.

Heritage Pointe is an amazing independent and assisted living community. Our mother fought leaving her home in LA, but once moving to Heritage Pointe found that with the community assistance, her life was enhanced. She was able to participate once again in many things she loved. Mahjong, dances, lectures, outings, hair and nails and new friends. She even met old friends. She regained her independence to walk (with a walker) enjoyed the food and the care was awesome. She passed at 91 after living there for 4 years. I just revisited Heritage Pointe for my Dad. They have made beautiful upgrades to the facility and everything is running top notch. A special shout out to Georgie in admissions. She is so kind, caring and knowledgeable. If you have a need for your loved one, Jewish or not, check out Heritage Point. You'll be glad you did!
