I am so thrilled to have the opportunity to share my excitement about the new leadership in this building. Our entire family has noticed the difference in just the few weeks that Susan has been in this building. She is approachable, calm, and has the wisdom and experience. It even seems as though the staff are uplifted and feeling appreciated.

When I first toured the Preserve I noticed an over-powering smell of urine in a few areas. I foolishly overlooked that because the facilities are new and impressive. Unfortunately, my mom was neglected here. Left in her room with the door shut most of the time. On a few visits I found urine on her floor, or her pants wet with urine. Her room wreaked of urine 90% of the time. She drastically lost weight while living here. The food was unappetizing and I'm not sure if much attention was paid to the fact that she wasn't eating it. I was told by another resident's family "they don't come get them for meals". I watched some resident sit for 20-30 minutes when meals were slowly passed around. Some of the staff was very kind, but there was a rapid turn over rate. I've heard many sales pitches when touring facilities, but I found this one to be the most misleading. I was even told that my mother would "improve after living here". And that a certain resident was "almost non-verbal when she arrived and now she talks and is so cognitively improved". (I watched a promo video with that resident. she was just as verbal when she first arrived as she was the day I met her, a year after living there). My mom has dementia. I saw zero attempts to use the Montessori method. I would not recommend this facility.

I recently toured The Preserve at Woodland Hills Assisted Living & Memory Care and was impressed by the welcoming atmosphere and the genuine kindness of the staff. The Preserve is such a special place. What I found that has made them 5 stars is their staff. The Activity Director is one of the best I have came across,Angel you rock. She truly loves and supports her residents. The Executive Director,Micheal, is so passionate about his residents and their well-being. They have a monistorty approach. The kindness comes within. And a shout out to Julie too, she showcases the community well. Take a tour see for yourself.

The concierge Michael is amazing, had a great first impression. Everything was so nice neat and clean. All staff was amazing and the residents look happy. Julie the marketing director was able to get me into a same day tour and Angel the activities director looks very involved in the residents well being it gives me a positive outlook on having my family member stay here. Great and amazing place!

My uncle had a fall and spent some time in a rehab getting physical therapy to regain his strength. The rehab decided out of the blue that he needs to be discharged and find a more permanent solution in just two days. This was so sudden...I became overwhelmed and I didn't know where to begin. Luckily, a friend suggested I start with The Preserve because she saw it being built just a few years ago and it looked nice. I am so glad I called them! I was transferred to the marketing director, Julie, who answered all of my questions and anticipated our needs that I hadn't even thought of - truly amazing. I then met Trevin, the executive director, who was also so kind and helpful! The nurse, Gloria, saw my uncle that same day and was able to tell us exactly what care he will need! The entire team made this stressful situation feel so much easier and I am so appreciative of them all for being so accommodating, supportive, and helpful - from the bottom of my heart, thank you all so much!! I cannot recommend The Preserve enough.

If you're looking for a nice assisted living facility with a great staff in the Woodland Hills area, I highly recommend The Preserve! I have a family member living here for a couple of years now, and I think the current team they have taking care of my family member is the best so far. I am very happy with how things are being run here. Thank you for providing my loved one with a safe and vibrant living environment!

I brought my father here after he suffered a fall. He was so adamant to stay in his home at first, but once he got settled in he has become part of the community and is so happy here! I would like to extend a special thank you the Angel for always keeping dad busy with activities — The staff is so kind and accommodating. The facility itself is brand new, clean and up to date. You'll be so happy you chose this facility, I can't recommend more highly.

Met with Julie earlier this week who gave me a tour of the facility. I was very impressed by their offerings and professionalism of the staff I interacted with. I am excited to move forward with moving my grandparents into a place where I am confident they will be well taken care of. This process has been seamless and truly eases an otherwise stressful process.

The Preserve is a Great Place. They are set up for the support of both patients and families. We tried others but This had the best feel. A Sincere caring Staff is what we noticed most about this home. A Brand new building that was well throughout in care and practical comforts for the residents. We have visited at all hours and found a welcoming staff with each visit. It's a hard choice to make handing a loved one to a new home environment, but we have not had second thoughts at all... They have their own staffing agency that they deal with when I called Megan was very professional, and although we did not end up doing business together, they were very polite and I only have positive things to say about this facility

My mother was one of the first residents at the Preserve when it opened, and it was really hard in the beginning to get so many problems solved, but lots had to do with the first staff. After I opened my big mouth and complained to upper management (who was more than gracious, and gave me her personal phone number to notify her if there were more issues), they hired entirely new management that actually cares, and it turned the whole facility around. My mother died in March. Most of the staff were there when she took her last breath. They were there for her, and in turn, they were there for me too. Shout out to Michael who helped me get my mom ready for hospice, and guided me through the process, hooked me up with a company, and connected me with Kaiser. These people care, and they only hire caregivers who have a gift for dealing with people who have special needs like dementia and Alzheimer's. I had many a "free dinner" or lunch there, especially when my mom was on her way out because they knew what a hard time I was having. Chef Jimmy (who is the best cook) went to personally see my mom because he liked her. Who does that? All in all, they ended up feeling like family. Doesn't get much better. Useful Funny Cool
